Give it time. They can't do every character up front. She'll get made eventually.

Dial Indy
Dial Fleabag

Wave 3:

Crusade Indy
Crusade Henry Jones, Sr.
Crusade Elsa
Crusade Grail Knight
Dial Mads Mikkelson

Store exclusives:

Club Obi Wan Indy
Professor Indy
Donovan
Black Sleep Indy

But looks like ZERO army builders. Lame as hell.

If this is accurate then that's a much better line-up than what Hasbro's livestream implied. Glad we're getting Elsa, Henry Sr. and Mola Ram before the inevitible end to the line. Now just give us a Willie to go with the Temple of Doom cast! Also smart of them to be loading each wave mostly with the classic film figures and lightly sprinkling in the Indy 5 figures, rather than stupidly devoting an entire wave to the new film which could easily pegwarm and kill the line at retail like what happened with Crystal Skull in 2008.

And yeah, still no hint of generic army builder figures. The German Soldiers in Raiders had no swastika armbands or any other obvious Nazi symbolism. They were just generic looking soldiers in green/tan army fatigues and Hasbro could double dip on the body sculpt with a Raiders Indy in German disguise figure too. Hasbro had no issue with releasing plenty of them in 2008, so surely they can make some now. Same goes for the Cairo swordsman from that key scene in Raiders, or the generic Cairo thugs that chased Marion, which Hasbro ALSO released plenty of in 2008 including variant repaints. And what would be the excuse for not making some Temple of Doom Thugee guards or the main Thugee chieftan? If we can get a Mola Ram figure, then we should be able to get his guards to surround Rope Bridge Indy.

Also with the easy re-use of that suit body for Tuxedo Indy and Professor Indy, I hope we can get a Marcus Brody at some point too. His role in Last Crusade was big enough to warrant a figure. Sure he's another boring white guy in a suit figure, but if they are willing to do Tux Indy and Professor Indy, then I want a Marcus figure! Just kitbash the suit body parts with the inevitible shirt/tie torso from Last Crusade Indy, repaint it and stick a Marcus head on it!

Ugh, more $15 5 PoAs with haunting stares and placid faces. Why is Star Wars the only 3.75" figures Hasbro makes anything half decent for anymore>

To appeal to fans of the vintage Kenner line who don't want to pay $100+ per figure on Ebay to get the originals in complete/mint condition. I'm loving that Hasbro is making these since I missed out on the vintage line back in 1981.

They're like the micro line that MOTU had. It probably won't last very long, but it's still a nice line. Not sure of why there's so much hate towards any of these. They're perfect. Not sure what people want. I literally want every version of every character from every movie, so this is a fantastic start and the list leaks are even better.

I really hate people, so none of this surprises me. Just more confirmation to back up my 67 years of experience.

Yeah, I think people are expecting way to much here. The fact we are finally getting 6 inch Indy figures should be seen as quite a notch in many collectors want list. The retro…they are what they are. Like them or don’t. I will get a set to keep on card. The kid stuff, like others have stated this might be a Disney thing or even a retail want.

As for the 3.75 inch scale, we had almost everything released already. Yes they could use updates, but most of them are fine to me. One of my favorite sets of figures honestly.

I just showed my 8 year old all 4 films and he loved them…( in between Disney plus stuff we watched one every Friday night) so maybe some kids will take to these……by the way, his favorite was “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. Good kid.

dukefett 01-12-2023 03:22 PM

I'm all in on this line, been far too long for Indy stuff. Glad Hasbro is doing it!

User897 01-12-2023 05:19 PM

What would REALLY be impressive is if hasblo releases the Kenner playsets, Arabian Horse, and vehicle to go along with the retro figures. Yooz guyz can have your fun with the Indy 6" stuff. Since I am stopping 6" Star Wars after the ROTJ40 stuff, I'm not going to fall for the Indy ones. Besides, with windowless boxes, hasblo can keep 'em.

No time for love, Dr. Jones.

That's a sweet collection.
I never got any of those figures -I wish I had.

My son was 9 when we watched Raiders, Temple of Doom and Last Crusade.
We watched one each weekend until Crystal Skull came out.
We were sitting there in the theater and he asked me why Indy was old.
He had no idea 20 years had passed since Last Crusade came out.

Dr Kain 01-12-2023 10:32 PM

I will totally buy the 6inch figures when they go on clearance because they would make background bystanders. Hell, the villain dude from The Last Crusade can be used as two separate looking people. One really old dude and a younger dude.

Skoob 01-13-2023 12:24 AM

It would be interesting to see the market research. What are they thinking? What kind of customer do they have in mind?

It's important to consider fan psychology. The Indy series has been characterized by decline. The 3rd movie was a letdown, but I thought Crystal Skull was rock bottom, and we wouldn't be tortured again, because surely, the showrunners would realize just how awful it was and know when to walk away.

This for me is an ugly, distasteful reminder of bad experiences. I don't want this stuff. I've been hankering for a 12" Bespin Han Solo for a long time, because the movie was so fun, and I want to be reminded of it, and I want to give my money to a company that can produce a good quality product as a kind of tribute. Do I want a Hot Toys Indiana Jones, assuming that they could do a better job than the thing that they produced several years ago? No, not even then.

Again, I wonder who they imagine will want this in quantities sufficient to justify production.

JerpJerp 01-13-2023 01:39 AM

FINALLY! More Indiana Jones! This collection will be a treasure. It might come and go "quickly", annnnd it may never come again. But damnit this scratches the itch if for a life time. 30 years and finally! THANKS HASBRO!

phantomtrblmkr 01-13-2023 07:28 AM

I'm glad Hasbro is reproducing the vintage figures for those that want them. Personally I'd love it if they completed that run and switched to Kenner style figures. Or - total pipe dream - o-rings that could interact with Joes. That's what I wanted when I was a kid.

As for the 1/12 scale stuff, I'm in for at least one of each character from the first three movies and hope the line goes long enough to get five or six unique characters deep for each.

Hasbro in 2008 released Hooded Cobra Commander figures. Current Hasbro has confirmed he is not and will not be happening becuase he looks like a KKK member to them.

Alot has changed since 2008.

As for the Thugees, supposedly they were a group made up by racist British Empire people as an excuse to slaughter the local populace. So Hasbro is probably also not touching that.

Notice all the Nazi figures coming (Elsa, Donovan, Belloq, Toht) don't look remotely like Nazis.

And let's face it - no way in hell they release any Russian soldiers in this climate.

Yes, but rumors are Disney intends to have a D+ series featuring Helena and there is the persistent rumor that she'll replace Ford going forward for a new female led Indy series (because we don't have Tomb Raider!).

So clearly Disney is probably hoping to try their hand at a revival of the franchise, especially since there is no female led "adventure' movie series out there. So that could be a niche they are looking to fill.

User897 01-13-2023 08:24 AM

See you in the clearance aisle. You'll have to dig through the failed Indy 5 crap to find something you might want.

Well, then good for you. At least someone is looking forward to that line.

Is this the first example of actual cross-line parts sharing we've seen from Hasbro?

I was wondering why he had double knees when no one else does.

"Indiana Jones Forever"!!!!

You know, looking at Target's site, they have bigger images. The box art photo of the toy actually looks pretty decent! Looks like Harrison Ford.

https://target.scene7.com/is/image/T...2220&fmt=pjpeg

Then somewhere along the line, they went from that to this:

https://target.scene7.com/is/image/T...lt=80&fmt=webp

That's false advertisement!

User897 01-13-2023 11:40 AM

They've been involved in "false advertisement" since at least 1995, lol. That's not a likeness. It's a hateness! James Woods oughta have a look at that face, lol.

Box art looks more like Roger Moore.

Which makes me want a modern 6" James Bond series

Yup as you go from mock up computer altered box image to glam shot for product in hand to in person figure. It just gets worse and worse.

Vice crushed head suit goblin!
