These figures look fantastic. I am pretty impressed with Hiya so far..except for thier 1/12 stuff. I have all the godzilla releases so far.
|
I don't know who that wax figure is supposed to be, but Nimoy there is looking sharp!
edit: Holy carp, I just saw the prices. Two hands a couple of props = $25 dollars?! Yup, this is totally a no-go for me. These crews are like families and nobody's optional, yet there's just no way I could afford to put together entire crews (provided they even completed a crew) at 25 dollars each. Just the main TNG looks would be about $800, toss in all the other characters I'd want and we're in used car territory. |
I'd like them all but the pricing is prohibitive. If I had to choose one I'd probably go with Spock Prime so he could chill in my Echo Base diorama.

Now THAT'S a character nobody wants
|
Finally! A decent Nero figure in 1/18 scale! He'll look great cavorting with the other baddies on my Sith shelf.

All these boomer collectors need to start realizing that just because they don't want it, doesn't mean nobody does. |
As a figurative though not literal boomer, are we ever getting any TOS love? For one of the most iconic ensemble casts in history, there's no decent representation of the original seven. The McFarlane Kirk was so a promising before whatever licensing issue killed that burgeoning line.

I was just ranting about McF tiny heads and I see this. Headsculpt is fine but should be on a smaller, more slender body.
One figure I'd absolutely love to see from this movie is the robot cop that was trying to pull over young Kirk. Always thought that was a very cool design. They could make his bike too. |
Wow, they're getting through the main cast pretty quickly considering "no one wants these."
|
That Chekov is a really good likeness of Anton Yelchin -doubly so considering the scale.
Rest in peace, lad. |
Wasn't his character pretty skinny in the movies? He looks buff here.
