Just got back from a four state trip. I saw at least three ToysRus with variant Daredevil, but nothing else interesting. He may be on his way to pegwarmer status.

In other news, I figured out two sentences ago that the plural of ToysRus is ToysRus. Who knew?

daredevil in red is a variant? lol.. i must be missing something there..

Seriously, though, the variant he's talking about is a dark red color scheme, as opposed to his first release, which was a bright (almost tomato) red. Similar deal to Spider-Man in blue/red versus his variants in dark blue/red and black/red.

there are no black widow variants out there as of yet you need to wait for the next round of revision cases

just like ms marvel variant, phasing vision and dark red daredevil. Already get ms marvel from ebay for $20 and still looking for phasing vision and dark red daredevil (he's more cool in this outfit, like the color from urban legend boxset)...now i ebay i already can see many seller have it and sell it.
just waiting for black widow variants (because its different person), for luke cage, not too much interested since only repaint his tshirt.

I'm really only interested in the Vision variant; I'm a sucker for translucent figures, lol

The variants are awesome, but its the original Vision and Warpath that are the problem to get.

picked up 2 DD var. GhostRider, Ms Marvel. var. ! pretty pleased :) I have roughly 50 MU 3.75 figs...currently raiding as many Targets and TRUs I can !...hope I land both Archangel ones :/

Yeah man, people should be checking local stores, one random trip to Freddy's today and found variant Warpath and Daredevil. Screw these damn scalpers, $100 bucks for Warpath on e-bay? C'mon.

Managed to snag a Warpath and Daredevil at the local TRU. Seems they're getting more prevalent.

If you are going to say that you found the variant figs, could you tell us where you found them? It doesn't really help the rest of us if we don't where they figures are. Thanks.

Got all three from my local TRU(I work there). I just want the coolest one(in my opinion), and thats the Vision variant.

I saw two Dark Hawkeye's and a "dark" Daredevil at a local Walmart today. Nothing I needed, but it's the first time I've seen the variant waves at a Walmart.

I want a Dark Hawkeye...never realized he had a variant.

He doesn't, but he seems to be shipping with the variants, so I thought he was worth a mention.

Part of the reason you see these figures going up in price is there was a 12% price increase to toy dealers from Hasbro. The MSRP (Suggestest Retail Price) of the Marvel Universe figures was $8.99. A lot of the big box stores (TRU, Target, Wal-mart, etc) were able to sell the figures for less, depending on volume, but usually 6.99 to 8.99.

Because of the price increase from Hasbro, they have marked the MSRP of the latter part of Wave 12, as well as Wave 13 and 14 (these are pre-ordered, and are release in April and May), they have told us the MSRP is now $12.49.

That's a huge jump, and it means that some retailers are not ordering new cases. Toy sellers don't have to charge MSRP, of course, but many do set the price of Marvel Universe figures at that as a base (and then charge a premium for rares and variants).

Having a small toy store, I'll never compete with Target or Wal-mart on price...but you also won't come to my shop and find 12 Stealth Ops Iron Man and 15 Captain Americas as the only selections on the peg.

Marvel Universe Variants at The Comic Crew

fist off i must thank my wife for my haul today while i was at work she went to Toys r us today is truck day so she went and got there right after they opened and managed to score me a varaint warpath and varaint ms marvel.....which i got both for 10bucks as toys r us is haveing a 2 for 10 sale right now and i also got the frost giant from the thor line all 3 for like 17 bucks so a sweet sweet score today i havent seen any of the 3 in any store before today

yes .....yes i do and i didnt even ask her to go she just did before she had to be at work.....though she did have to call and double check which to get lol i almost fliped when she said she found both varaint warpath and ms marvel lol
