Yeah, I hope the shoulder pads come off, too. They look weird. Kind of squared off like someone who didn't know how to draw added those as a last touch to something that already looked good without it.

Damn! I didn't realize there was such a difference in size. I figured the SDCC box would be bigger to fit the card, but seeing them next to each other is pretty cool.

Greenskar, I hear what you're saying... when it's all said and done I'll have at least 2, probably 3, Sents. I still think they'll be easy to find though.

The shoulder pads don't necessarily come off. Its a soft plastic and you can kinda cut it off if you choose to.

Deefuzz 07-28-2011 08:42 PM

Wow that box difference is crazy!

I am debating whether or not to get the retail one along with the SDCC one that I am waiting to show up.

Kluster Bombs 07-28-2011 09:37 PM

Went to TRU today and found nothing!

Tarquinius 07-28-2011 09:38 PM

Grats on the find guys

JonnyVu 07-28-2011 09:43 PM

Hope this comes to Canada

Did you ever see Galactus?

There was a photo on ebay of Sentinel without shoulder pads, it was missing the chest plate too, so it is probably possible to remove the whole upper body part.

Do you have a link? I can't seem to find this on eBay.

thechris 07-29-2011 03:05 AM

Ah, nevermind. Judging by the fact that I can easily remove the rubber cover from my Galactus figure, I imagine it's the rubber piece to replace the battery. :)

thechris 07-29-2011 03:08 AM

How many of you guys would flip out if they released a shorter Goliath/Frost Giant/Giantman sized Sentinel in classic colours? :) I'd personally be delighted because that would be much closer to average Sentinel scale and the Masterworks sized one would serve as Mastermold and I can keep the other ones I bought MOC. LOL. Just food for thought. Plus $30 army builders are a lot more affordable and space friendly. I have 3 Frost Giants that I didn't even have to think twice about obtaining.

Prime002 07-29-2011 03:11 AM

Was the SDCC verison a different Color?

Yeah, the SDCC one is the traditional purpleish blue and pinkish purple combo we're used to. The store version is a navy blue and silver combo.

MARVEL SENTINEL PURPLE LOOSE COMIC CON SDCC FOR CUSTOM - eBay (item 170671659985 end time Jul-24-11 23:57:44 PDT)
It looks quite interesting, actually.

quinten182 07-29-2011 05:57 AM

Went to TRU yesterday and found nothing. They had same stuff they have every time I go.. Phasing vision, Jean Grey, Iron spider, Winter soldier, Bucky, Skrull.. but no Sentinel.

patience! it WILL happen!!

quinten182 07-29-2011 07:15 AM

I'm not worried. Finding the Sentinel in those ugly colors will be both a win and a loss.. so even though I went to get one, I walked out not all that disappointed. I was mostly disappointed that they had not gotten ANYthing new. :(

I said the same exact thing in another thread. But after opening mine and displaying him with my MU X-Men figures he is pretty on scale with him being able to hold Jean in his hand. It was Galactus being the same size that threw me off lol. I would love an Apocalypse in a Wal-Mart exclusive size with a Bishop thou :)

Nope. So this most likely won't come either but if it does. I'm gonna get 5

You have my attention and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

lol, seriously though, Symbiote and I were just discussing having Apocalypse be a future Gigantic Battle figure. I would prefer he be in the Masterwork's Series for 2013 instead though.

You need him to be so you can hear his iconic voice from the 90's cartoon series shouting, "FOOLS!" :D

SwindlesShop 07-29-2011 12:51 PM

i saw this yesterday at TRU also..50 dollars is a nice price.

Symbiote 07-29-2011 01:19 PM

Greenskar helped set this one up. Proof you can't have just one.

I had to hang the sdcc sentinel on the wall. The packaging is so awesome.
