Invincibile Iron Man has been up and down.. I like the Five Nightmares and Stark Disassembled to a degree.. But Everything else has just been bad I thought. I don't think he really understood Extremis or Tony Stark himself for that matter. And the new armor, it's just ugly for one, and I hate that it's stored in his body.. It's too much. He went down the shitter for me a long time ago..

I have to admit. The wings that doubles as a cape would be awesome. But as a toy. It would have to be one or the other. Unless it came with two accessories :)

It just should come with two sets of wings. It's sad to me that we are just to assume from past experience that we should only expect so much in terms of accessories. But Do Boy is right.

I'm really sick of being nickel and dimed by Hasbro just to get the kind of accessories that should be included with the original figure. I like having the opportunity to buy different versions of the same character I don't mind paying for repaints, you can't pack in 3 versions of the body per figure. But a head or a hand here and there, not that big of a deal.

How about stands... I say every figure regardless of release date or packaging.

Not getting a version of Iron Man without a hemet, although I have purchased like 15 versions already in this scale.

Iron Fist not having a fist hand or grip hand.

Ghost Rider not having a bike is ridicules. And I've heard the arguments. They don't fly in my book. He's Ghost RIDER! It's like making a Wolverine without claws. Where's your bike GR? In the shop...

No sniper riffle with the MU version of Winter Soldier, Small gripe, but why shouldn't we expect a character to be included with his signature weapon. This problem effects many figs.

Nightcrawler's tail. And this includes any characters with tails, tentacles, or anything that should be able to bend and pose. Make them posable already. If it's a matter of breakage after so much use, include a plastic backup version.

Arch Angel's folded wings and death head.

And don't get me started on the M16.

And just a note of interest. The Spider-Man line thats been out for a while now would be so much more appealing with better articulation. I know it's more of a kids line and bla bla bla, but there are many collectors or older consumers who would be into this line if it offered more articulation. To date I have 2 figures from this line. Scarlet Spider-Man and Venom with tongue and no knee articulation. This line has made some good looking sculpts as-well as sporting a pretty good roster of villains. But their ether to hard to find or just too unappealing to bother with. If the articulation was there I would have hunted down like 90% of the figures in this line.

I don't mean to complain but these issues should at some point be addressed. and I'll keep mentioning them from time to time until they are. Just like I'll keep buying these lil guys because obviously I'm insane.

ok, it would kinda rule if kid apocalypse was raised as an x - man, and everyone on the team would be scared to death of him, akin to what the sentry was to the avengers. It would be even better if he joined the Annihilators.

irondestro1975 09-02-2011 01:16 PM

Archangel as the new Apocalypse wow! i'm so amazed and it looks cool cant wait to see the figure.

snakeeyes566 09-02-2011 01:35 PM

I think it would be nice if we got either a new archangel vs psylocke or archangel vs fantomex. I think psylocke is a lot more possible because she would be a repaint.

quinten182 09-02-2011 02:21 PM

Yeah I just picked up 2 months worth of comics to take with me and read on this weekend's long drive.. and unfortunately I just bought x-force 12-14 in my pile last night.. and now I know what happens.. really kinda mad spoiler was not written on the first post.. ><

Crazy Jetty 09-02-2011 02:44 PM

I find myself really torn. Angel/archangel hasn't been interesting to me since... well... ever.
I don't like the MU anymore, because everything now has to be more badass more hardcore more wicked more dark. Heroes kill. Cap carries guns. Everything has to be uber dark.
I also really don't like the current X-Force on principle. Because none of these are characetrs I've ever liked to begin with. The concept behind this version of the team isn't one that appeals to me.

But Warren accending to claim the mantel of Apocalypse makes so much sense.
This is the kind of storyline that was going on when I enjoyed these books. This *almost* makes me want to read this. Dispite focusing around a team consisting of Psylocke, Fantomex, Wolverine, and Deadpool.

Dude I promise the spoilers listed are really insignificant to the story. We just hit on a few points but the build up to the outcome of the Dark Angel saga is beyond amazing and will shock and surprise you. It's kinda impossible to spoil such a good book no matter what you know. I could know every detail of this book but reading the events as they transpire would be just as captivating each and every time.
Plus the Apocalypse Solution was what got heavily spoiled in this thread anyway(thanks to me sorry guys). Don't let such an insignificant little spoiler ruin the most amazing story EVAAAAAHHH ecspecially if you were a 90's kid and enjoyed AoA as much as I did.

X-Force is the best X title out right now. I'd even go as far as saying the best title Marvel has available. Plus it's great if you love classic Deadpool not the raving lunatic Way gave us.

DAYUMMM BOYYY-EEEE I SOUND LIKE I BE MARVELS PERSONAL HYPE MAN

Who agrees we need a new X-force 3 pack?! Fantomex, Archangel, Psylocke with a running change of Archangel in his heir of Apoc gear. Two of the figures would be repaints and that's hasbro's schtick.

I mean for fucks sake WE NEED FANTOMEX! We got Logan, Wade, Betsy, and Warren WHY NO FANTOMEX!?!?!

That makes me incredibly sad. I knew that Nightcrawler died. I didn't find it meaningful or well written. I found it crass sensationalism motivated more by moving copies of a book than by story concerns. What makes me sad is that Marvel is now pi$$ing on Kurt's grave by replacing him with a "ruthless" doppleganger with "less morals."

Oh well, I'm happy Hasbro are putting out a winged Angel next year. That's the Warren Worthington III that I want.

I don't think I could possibly agree with you more.
Kurt was one of my favorites. I always loved how friendly and upbeat he was.
Though I didn't know he was killed.

Oh well. It's only a matter of time before they bring him back.

Thats the big problem with Marvel, they feel the need to kill 1.5 characters for every event, and always at the end of the first act or the final act. Think about it. the only one in recent memory where nobody died was world war hulk

Civil War = Black Goliath
House of M = Hawkeye
Messiah Complex = Caliban
Second Coming = Nightcrawler, Cable
Avengers Disassembled = Antman 2, Hawkeye, Vision
Seige = Ares, Sentry
Fear Itself = Bucky
Secret Invasion = Echo, Wasp
End of Grant Morrisons Run = Jean Grey
Annhilation = Annhilus, Quasar, Thanos
Annhilation Conquest = Groot, Blastaar
War of Kings = Vulcan, Lilandra, Blackbolt
Thanos Imperative = Starlord, Nova, Thanos
Shadowland = Bullseye

And I know there are some I missed. The recent death of Bucky kind of angered me, because he had only been around for a short period of time, and there was so much potential, yet they decide to kill him because steve rogers has to be cap. Well last I checked, US Agent wasnt taken cause Walker is crippled, Bucky could have become US Agent.
Marvel needs to realize theres better ways to tell a story than just death. They could have physically and mentally destroyed Bucky and then told the story of him rebuilding himself, much like Quicksilver

and now I'm afraid Thor and Cyclops are next on the list. oy. I can understand death, it happens. but its becoming predictable, not to mention annoying considering nearly 40% of those I listed are back already.

Yeah, you forgot Cap in Civil War, Human Torch, and Ultimate Peter Parker.

I remember when a character dying was a huge deal. And death actually ment something. It motivated and moved characters. It was a big deal when Supergirl died at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths. It was a big deal when Jean Grey died at the end of the Dark Phoenix Saga (Dispite that it was later told that wasn't actually Jean at all). It was a massive motivational deal when Jason Todd died, which had a monumental effect on Bruce, that changed the Bat forever.
Superman's death, while being obviously a publicity stunt, even that was still a big deal, both in canon universe, and in real life. His death had huge ramifications (hell, Blackest Night is basically based on the fact he died and came back).
I'm not trying to fan wank on DC and trash Marvel, but the death of a character seems to carry more weight in the DCU than it currently does in Marvel. They both seem to look at "Who can we kill, that will increase sales?" But at least DCU seems to carry more weight, story wise when a characetr dies. (an entire cult forming around resurrecting Superboy, Cassie and Tim both deeply effected by it. Bruce's "death" impacting all of Gotham and every member of the Bat family, as it should.)

I dunno. I feel like the last written comic deaths that were more about plot, and character growth than to move sales, were the deaths of Sue Dibney, Tim Drake's Dad, and Digger Harkness in Identity Crisis.

I don't mind characetrs dying. It happens in real life. But they're so meaningless now a days. And just like Superman, they've already got them planned to come back. (And that's another irksome thing. It doesn't bother me when a writer has a good idea how to return a dead character to life, ALA Green Arrow, but you know they had Cap planned as soon as they decided to off him. But that's a whole different conversation)

KingLouie731 09-02-2011 05:45 PM

I would tend to agree with Crazy Jetty and while I love the way DC has handled death the one notable exception has to be Barry Allen, man Wally West owned the role of Flash and they took the significance of that sacrifice and brought him back. There used to be a saying that in comics Death was reversable unless you were Bucky, Barry or Uncle Ben, it has become predictable like another poster said and I think we know what will happen next so to speak ;)

KingLouie731 09-02-2011 05:48 PM

PS I am kinda excited about the AOA Nightcrawler coming to the mainstream universe as that might help generate fan frenzy for more AOA figures, which is one of my alltime favorite stories. who wouldn't want a AOA Sunfire or a good AOA Sabretooth?

Jason Abbadon 09-02-2011 06:26 PM

So..this version Archangel has modified wings, a big A on his belt and darkish Apoclypse blue instead of black with his silver (metal).
Interesting- you could just paint the pink parts of the MU fig silver, cut the "A" from styrene and then go insane looking to upgrade the wings...maybe use a quarter of some thin brass gear for each wing?

D00MTR0N 09-02-2011 06:50 PM

I went to try and find this series at the local comic shop and they only had issue #1!

CLASSIFIED 09-02-2011 06:56 PM

I don't read many X Titles, but "New" Apocalypse/ Archangel certainly looks cool enough for Hasbro to make a figure out of him.

Nothing lasts forever in comic books.

Apocalypse will be back before you know it.

Apocalypse and Archangel were pretty bad ass in that old X Men cartoon they had in the 90's.

That would be silly.

If a writer could write an interesting enough story justifying it, I'd be into that though.

I've never been a super huge X Men fan, so I suspect I'm not as emotionally invested in the characters as you I'd wager.

no dont get me wrong,I dont follow x-men at all,I am a fan of apocalypse only,so if they would have used another villian for angel I would not care but using apoc bugs me.
