I remember as a kid having some epic battles with my toys, usually all the goodies from the different toylines would ally, and similarly with the baddies. The Decepticons, however, would usually join the goodies, as in the absence of Megatron or Galvatron they followed Grimlock.

Nowadays, I just don't have the desire to play with them on any great scale, but I do spend quite a bit of time posing them. Actually, I have a small confession - some of the Transformers I have that were packaged in robot mode, I've never transformed them......

Superquad7 09-14-2011 03:41 AM

Yup. They're toys after all :)

SpeedBreaker 09-14-2011 04:51 AM

I just kinda stick them on a shelf and look at them. :o

iLegends73 09-14-2011 04:53 AM

i would say yes. cause when u tryin 2 set up epic battles u have to figure out how u going 2 do it

Fixed.

I can literally quote that movie from start to finish and describe every scene, including the sight gags.

And did I mention it's one of my favorite films of all time? :D

xhavoc86 09-14-2011 03:12 PM

no, just display... thats probably why i like the justice league/young justice toylines more than others, im sure those types of figures would suck to play with lol

Oh snap, I did this too!

I was saying dolls in my head as I typed toys.

You believe me, don't you?

They do, I've actually tried to play with them. Makes me wonder why vintage Star Wars figures were so popular back in the day, especially considering they had the same articulation.

rustyrob 09-16-2011 07:23 AM

Im not alone in the world

Oh heck ya...all 4 inch scale...

scenario: apocalypse has travel different dimensions forming a new 4 horseman of apocalypse

Mummra the ever living-second in command an very similar to apocalypse
the new "DEATH"

Senator Palpatine the Sith Lord- apocalypse chief advisor and the most untrusted "Pestilence"

Green Ranger- i know what your thinking "hes a good guy" but this one is the original the evil the more powerful "Famine"

Megatron- WAAAAAAAR

the x-men, thundercats, power ranger, optimus prime (revoltech), a band of jedi, must come together but wait...backup...is that? Sonic the hedgehog(jazwares) and Chun Li (microman)?

so fun

If it were on the same level as the first, I would *kill* to see "Spaceballs 2: The Prequel!"

Of course I do. Nobody lies on the Internet, right?

Because that was all we had back in the day for 3.75" figures. Now that we have Marvel Legends, SHS and MU, it's very hard to forgive a toy line that is 3.75" scale but with the same articulation as toys from the 80's (and even 90's).

Bah, these kids today don't know how good they have it. *shakes cane at screen*

Agreed, although Yogurt hoped they would all meet again for "Spaceballs II: The Search for More Money."

Sadly, it would be without John Candy's Barf.

...I can't believe I just typed that. o.O

Most Mel Brooks movies are funny, except Silent Movie.

The Space Balls cartoon sucked though.

Fortune 10-04-2011 12:56 AM

Yes I do. Especially my WWE Elite figures :)

Colder Soldier 10-04-2011 01:18 AM

I do. Not as much as I'd like though. The last time I played out an entire story-arc was when MU first hit. Had to test them out with the Joes.

I run story lines with my wrestling figs that carry over from sitting to sitting.

One such story line has Vince McMahon forcing Edge to wrestle him because if any of his Superstars are going to retire, he's going to retire them.

Do Boy 10-07-2011 08:00 PM

It will always be WWF to me!!!

Fortune 10-07-2011 08:23 PM

lol I havent done much as far as storylines yet but yeah they love going to war.

Darkspeed 10-08-2011 09:14 AM

Don't play with any of the toys I buy... But I do have a habit of getting easily distracted by them and just fiddling around with them! Normally it's Transformers, and I'm just switching them between modes... I dunno now, would that count as "playing?" :P

I guess it does if you want it to lol. But it seems most people define playing with them as either coming up with storylines or having them go to battle with eachother

In that case, definitely not playing... I'm happy with fiddling! ^^;

That's what she said.

But in all seriousness, I played with my toys a bit this morning before comming to work.

My son and I played Kre-o Transformers, then MU.

See, if I count when I play with my daughter as playing with my toys, then yeah I still do.

But if I'm on my own, I usually just fiddle with them. On rare occasions, I will take an action figure and make him/her do a Shoryuken or a Hadoken and mimic SFII sound effects. Most recently, I did that with the IM2 3.75" Titanium Man. His flaming-fist accessory made it impossible to resist.

World Wildlife Fund? :p

But seriously, I kind of miss the old name and logo too. Then again, I also miss NWA. WCW to me was a failed attempt to rebrand themselves into a more "EXTREME" show like WWF had done with RAW.

Speaking of extreme, I really miss the original ECW.

CLASSIFIED 10-11-2011 06:13 AM

@trebleshot, then you still play with toys.

Also, all those old school wrestling feds still exist, in your memories.

Vince owns most of the footage and is going to launch a WWE network in 2012, so you'll likely be able to take a trip down memory lane whenever you like once that happens.

Exactly what he said. My 3 year old daughter and I have playtime where we both play with my stuff, her barbies, barbie house, whatever she decides to be into in that particular moment. Other than that I'll pose the figures for pictures but dont actually play with my own toys. Personally I think its pretty weird for a grown up to actually be playing with toys with sound effects, acting it out and im actually surprised to see people post here that they do that without kids around but thats just me.

Personally I think its pretty weird that a "grown up" would have a toy collection they pose and take pictures of but don't take the next logical step and "play" with them but that's just me.:D
