Alright, lets give this a shot.

Marvel Universe
Best - Captain Britain. No real explanation here other than that for some reason I totally dig the MU version.
Runner up - Iron Fist (from the CP) love the 70's throwback.
Worst - Kitty Pryde. The artwork makes her look like a "10." The figure puts her in negative integers
Runner up - Iron Man Series One #1, Stealth Ops and Silver Centurion. I've seen better articulation on Micronauts.
Underrated - Constrictor. Just plain dig that figure, no one ever really mentions him.
Runner up - Spider-Woman. Classic figure, classic character.
Overrated - Thanos. Much ado about a thick, clunky figure.
Runner up - Archangel (original). Blah. That's all I have for that one. Blah.

Captain America
Best - Bucky Cap. Pretty much a consensus here.
Runner up - Hydra Soldier Variant(s)Feeling the yellow and green Hydra look.
Worst - That hot mess from the Target Fire and Ice 2-pack exclusive. The absolute worst 3.75 figure Hasbro/ Marvel has made to-date.
Runner up - Arctic Cap. Gimmicky foolishness.
Underrated - Spinning Attack Deluxe. Yeah its concept, but I think it's a bad @ss looking figure!
Runner up - US Agent. I thought for sure this one would be a bigger hit, but it really hasn't been.
Overrated - Crossbones. Nothing about him has a wow factor.
Runner up - Red Skull. The 70th Anniversary Invaders embarrases this one.

Thor
Best - Heimdall. Limited articulation, but best of the bunch.
Runner up - Black Destroyer. A good looking figure through and through.

Worst - Any one of the Lokis (minus the King).
Runner up - Any of of the Odins.

Underrated - N/A
Runner up - N/A

Overrated - Warriors 3. Someone once mentioned they look like a bunch of guys that hang out at Renaissance Festivals. Could not have put it better myself.
Runner up - Sif. Poor female sculpt.

Iron Man 2
Best - Ultimate Iron Man. Cool as hell
Runner up - Black and Yellow Stealth Armor (Mark V repaint.) Sleak, love the differnt colors.
Worst - Mickey Rourke Whiplash. HATE actor heads.
Runner up - Mark III, IV and VI. Boring, run-of-the-mill IM.
Underrated - Mark II- a classic simple sleek looking figure
Runner up - Starkk Racing- just totally digging the Blue and White. very sharp.
Overrated - Mandarin- never did and still don't see the commotion?
Runner up - Don Cheadle Head Cyborg War Machine. Oh look, Don Cheadle head. :-/

afgoosett 10-31-2011 07:05 PM

FUCK MAN I FORGOT CONSTRICTOR!!!! He's def. one of my favorite figures and characters.

Peteparker 10-31-2011 08:15 PM

This is really hard. You guys deserve serious props for even attempting to fill this out!

DogFashionDisco 10-31-2011 10:04 PM

I'm surprised any of you listed Silver Centurion as a bad figure, it looks awesome in person. I've never opened mine but I'm sure the articulation can't be too terrible.

I thought he was a great all around fig. I can't see why anyone would bash it. But to each his own. I one it and think it looks great!

So I think this guy was talking about the MU repaint of the first MU Iron Man figure. That figure as well as the original with different paint sucked and had terrible ball joint knees.

The Silver Centurion Iron Man I'm talking about is the IM2 fig released a year or so ago. Great fig that one.

The Silver Centurion from the MU line is in fact the horrible figure I was speaking of. The one from the IM2 line is the b@lls!

boombatty 11-01-2011 06:43 AM

Marvel Universe
Best - Taskmaster. Might be reuse, but it reused oh so well
Runner up - Bleeding Edge Iron Man (I think this might be on a lot of folks lists if they hadn't released 8 million Iron Men up to now) and Steve Rodgers.

Worst - Punisher (really, any of them). The first mold was too big and the hands and head were overly large and anime-like. The second mold rehashed the Shield soldier body (which worked for the Shield soldiers) with a horrible head sculpt (and was to small for the Punisher).
Runner up - Reed Richards first figure. Agh! Giant head and Daredevil body = craptacular!

Underrated - The Red/White/Black Hand Ninjas. Very well done Ninja Army Builders.
Runner up - Hydra Agents. Mold may be Daredevil/Union Jack, but it works with the GI Joe harness they added and the paint apps.

Overrated - Nick Fury. Yes it is cool but overrated given that you have to pay out the @ss for one considering it was a MU Subscription figure.
Runner up - The upcoming subscription figure, Doom without mask. Again, demand will be there because it is a subscription but it is a half as good rehashed mold.

Captain America
Best - Bucky Cap.
Runner up - Crossbones (and this was a close one, could swap with Bucky Cap).

Worst - Two pack movie Arctic Cap with Zubas and White "shoot me here" helmet.
Runner up - Arctic Cap with snow board.

Underrated - Ultimate Cap.
Runner up - US Agent.

Overrated - Winter Soldier. Just not that great of a mold. I actually prefer the MU mold, barely. Neither is awesome.
Runner up - Captain Britain, either mold. MU molds (both of them) kick the crap out of the Cap line versions.

Thor
Best - Frost Giants.
Runner up - Destroyers.

Worst - Thor Blaster Armor.
Runner up - Loki with Horns.

Underrated - Fandral.
Runner up - Sif.

Overrated - Heimdall.
Runner up - Hogun the Japanese Norse God.

Iron Man 2
Best - Titanium Man
Runner up - (tie) War Machine 2.0, Mandarin and Armor Whiplash

Worst - Hulk Buster movie version.
Runner up - Action Pack Iron Men with limited articulation and dumb accessories.

Underrated - Iron Man Holographic
Runner up - Crimson Dynamo.

Overrated - Iron Man (movie)
Runner up - War Machine (movie)

Spider Man
Best - Rhino.
Runner up - Shocker.

Worst - Scuba Spider Man.
Runner up - Space Spider Man.

Underrated - Ben Reilly Spider Man.
Runner up - Black Suit Spider Man.

Overrated - Carnage
Runner up - Venom 2

X-Men Origins
Best - Deadpool.
Runner up - Sabertooth (2 pack comic version).

Worst - Wolverine (2 pack comic version with motorcycle).
Runner up - Colossus (with giant hammer and no neck).

Underrated - Gambit.
Runner up - Maverick.

Overrated - Wolverine (Astonishing X-Men Uniform 2 pack with Colossus)
Runner up - Cyclops (cool figure but way overrated)

That's one of things where if you read the comics back ten, it's oneof your favorite figures now- the helmet sculpt is superb!

Marvel Universe
Best - Doctor Strange- a perfect figure with 100% accuracy and amazing articulation.
Runner up - Darkhawk, Bleeding Edge IM, Modern Thor, Thanos

Worst - Jean Grey- a tiny pin head with no neck, one tiny ball of a fist and a flat flipper hand on the other wrist. a fig so bad they never re-used her buck!
Runner up - Jim Lee Wolvie- awful head sculpt, waay to tall, tterrible paint apps on every one I ever saw.

Underrated - Hawkeye- he still gets overlooked
Runner up -Comic Pack Doom: perfect likeness and his gun is removable!
Overrated - Vision (color), Black Panther (original) WWHulk- he's perfect but about 30% too damn small which kills me.
Runner up - Johnny Storm Human Torch- the forearms on that buck are too long and
his head look...wrong.

Captain America
Best - Bucky Cap, terrific paint apps with beautiful shiny paint
Runner up - USAgent- great comic likeness with a sneer! Hydra Soldiers (comic colors)- perfect MU level articulation, great looking sculpts and two kinds to choose from. All army buildres should be this great.

Worst - Arctic Cap, damn silly pajama Cap, white gloved Red Skull in green.
Runner up - Carded Captain Britan- strange anatomy and too short.

Underrated - Runner up - Winter Soldier, way better than MU version

Overrated - Red Skull, face sculpt is kinda poor and paint apps on some are garbage
Runner up - Ultimates Cap, dont like any of the Caps from this line but some prefer this over MU versions which Im not sure why.

Thor
Best - Volstagg, Hogun- great translations from film to fig.
Worst - most of the Thors with one exception.
Runner up - Again, any of the Thors.

Underrated - Thor with "axe attack"- a great alternate outfit with a great sculpt.
Runner up - Odin- great with some customizing.
Overrated - Frost Giants- more like "Frost Bastketball players"- the MU Frost Fiant would fart these out.

Iron Man 2
Best - Mandarin, worth the hype. Comic Iron Monger, Final concept drone- freakin spectaclar. Silver Centurian.
Runner up - Original armor )comic) Iron Man- amazing sculpt and paint apps, Drones (awesome army builders)

Worst - Whiplash, terrible face sculpt
Runner up - Subterreanean armor Iron Man, other concept series

Underrated - Crimson Dynamo- amazing figure with perfect comic to fig translation.
Runner up - Comic Series War Machine.

Overrated - Nick Fury, better Sam Jack head on SW figures, would rather have seen comic series Nick Fury instead
Runner up - Ultimate Iron Man, decent but looks kinda clunky in hand.

MrCoffeeAddict 11-02-2011 09:04 AM

I'm gonna base mine on figures I actually own, so my list may be a bit different from others. 'Cause I don't buy characters I don't like.

Marvel Universe
Best- Dr. Strange. Wrist swivels? Eff yeah. Very poseable, great sculpt, nice details. Only gripe is that the cape flops around a lot.
Runner up- Bleeding Edge Iron Man. Love this guy but probably would have taken the best spot if he had wrist swivels like Strange.

Worst- Black Panther (the single pack one). Awkward poseability and it kept falling off my shelf until I got him a figure stand. I'm trying to customize a new one but the head is too big on a lot of the spare bodies I have. Needs a lot of work. I hope they release a better one soon. And no, I don't want the Target 2-pack one.
Runner up- Jean Grey. I knew the figure looked bad yet I bought it anyway. The shoulder pads make her look like she as no neck and the face is just...ugh. And her left hand looks unnatural. Jean deserves better.

Underrated- Taskmaster. He gets a lot of flak but I really like the figure. His sword was a piece of crap though so I gave him Captain Britain's Excalibur.
Runner up- Ultron. He shelfwarms in all of my stores and I don't know why. Maybe 'cause people already have the CP version? (I don't have that one 'cause I didn't want the Mr. Fantastic.) He's a nice figure overall.

Overrated- Apocalypse. He's a pretty decent figure but I was expecting more since he was so desired. Didn't realize he had those tubes on his arms that interfered with poseability until I got him.
Runner up- Warpath. I just don't see the appeal. Plus his hands have trouble holding his knives and he only has one holster.

Captain America
Best - Bucky Cap. Nicely detailed and fits well with my Avengers. Thank goodness I got a better shield to give him.
Runner up- Hydra Soldier. Great army builder even though I don't do this. :P

Worst- Movie Cap. Little hard to pose, hand gun is small, floppy, and requires a lot of work to get into the holster (gave him a handgun from a GI Joe figure instead) and shield was bent after I took him out of the packaging.
Runner up- Heavy Artillery Cap. I mainly got this guy to get his shield for Bucky. Awkward looking face, bad poseability. MU Cap is much stellar.

Underrated- Dark Threat Hydra Soldier. He's big and well-armed. Sure he lacks torso poseability but he's a large armored solider. He's more for power not acrobatics.
Runner up- Winter Soldier. I liked this one way more than the MU one.

Overrated- Red Skull. Didn't see what the appeal was when I got him. I guess most people wanted him 'cause he was a bit rare?
Runner up - Captain Britain. While the shiny paint is nice it was hard to find one with no pink on the white stripes. Plus he looks overly muscular (as in wide) for his size and I feel like he needs to be a lot taller.

Thor
Best- Hogun. Great colors and detail. I love this guy. Plus his extra accessory is pretty decent and isn't as ridiculous as everyone else's.
Runner up- Helmeted Thor. Face looks a lot more like Chris Hemsworth.

Worst- Odin. No spear, silly accessories, and cape causes a lot of problems in display.
Runner up- Fandral. Floppy sword, cape tends to fall off.

Underrated- Volstagg. I like him a lot actually.
Runner up- Loki. Neck looks a bit awkward but I actually like him a bit.

Overrated- Destroyer. When I took him out of the package and played with him a bit I said, "Eh."

Iron Man 2
Best- Ultimate Armor (comic). Has wrist swivels and is pretty accurate.
Runner up- Air Assault Drone. Great detail and looks very nice.

Worst- Classic red and gold armor. He just wasn't that great to me and his joints are loose. Like most of the other IM figs his open palm hand doesn't make a good repulsor blast pose. And he has 2 of them. I would've been cool with at least one fist hand.
Runner up- Crimson Dynamo. Loose leg joints and keeps falling off my shelf.

Underrated- Advanced Armor. Sure he lacks a bicep rotation but I like this figure a lot.
Runner up- Arctic Armor. Same as above.

Overrated- Neoclassic Armor- I actually don't remember why I got him but I do remember that a lot of fans wanted this armor. Upper body's just way too thick and his shoulder pads bug me.
Runner up- Hulkbuster (3.75 inch) Armor. Seemed like a lot of people wanted this guy but I was kind of on the fence. When I did get him I was all..."Eh."

Spider Man
Best- Super Poseable Spider Man. Poseability's great and none of the joints were loose on my figure.
Runner up- Carnage. Pretty good figure. Just wish he had more symbiote weapons.

Worst - Toxic Blast Venom. Poseability is CRAP. Brock Venom deserves better.

Overrated- SS Venom. Don't get me wrong, I like the figure. It's just...maybe he wouldn't be as desirable if he wasn't so damn rare.

Good Stuff 11-02-2011 07:20 PM

MU
best: Cable w/Hope - sculpt, artic., paint, acces.
worst: Reed (comic pack) and Patch - both just god awful, retard looks

Spidey
best: Hobgoblin - good colors, nice body/cape sculpt tho head sculpt needs work / glider sucks (but overall good acces. and artic. better than any spidey fig)
worst: all concept Spidey figs, but worst villain - Doc Ocks - horrible paint/artic./sculpt

Thor
best: Destroyer (black) - looks totally badass
worst: all wave 1 figures

Cap America
best: Bucky Cap, Crossbones, US Agent
worst: Captain Britain (single card) and all Cap vehicle packs

IM2
best: Ultimate IM
worst: all concept IM and IM vehicle packs
