Blade should have had hair, or look closer to wesley snipes version?! i personally think he looked badass. and hey since when did blade become a rare figure?

new guys by the way =D hello everyone nice to meet you

Tiberius 09-21-2011 11:38 PM

I want to paint mine yellow too. I don't like the muscle shirt really

Ronin Assassin 09-22-2011 12:00 AM

Roc Ripcord Head
Baroness glasses
Blade Jacket and Gear
And HD reactive armor upper torso
And maybe Roc Doctor legs and arms....

I think that would be a decent welsy blade custom....???

He wasn't rare, it's just that he's from such an old wave and hasn't been reissued yet so people who got on the MU boat a little late never had a chance to get him.

Tiberius 09-22-2011 03:39 AM

I got to love how Blade and Vision are 2 of the most expensive figures to buy. Yet, they are both terrible in my books. I'm looking for new ways to improve the Blade figure with Gi Joe bodies without damaging/painting the original Blade. I want to do the same with Black Panther too.

I agree. 2 of the worst figs in the line. I wish I had not opened my Vision because once I got the phasing one, the reg one was put away and now I keep hearing how no one has it.

If we wait a little they will eather reissue them or give us better versions of them.

Not sure how much it was when you posted that but it's $26.99 now plus tax and shipping, far from cheap lol.

Wow, forget that. It was about $12 when I put up the link.

And he wasnt even complete! He was missing his spinning blade weapon and it still went for $30 bucks loose!

boombatty 09-22-2011 07:55 AM

I must have bought 5 blades when he came out but only for the coats and weapons to use for customs. I painted the neck flat black and stuck the extra luke cage head on and then took the Blade head and put in on the Luke Cage body with the Luke Cage hat and I must say it looks incredible. I'll be home tomorrow and will try to remember to take a few pics. As for the extra coats, I used two for both the DCIH Hush and DCIH Robin Hush figures after I replaced the arms on both with a few arms from extra old Spy Troops Snake Eyes figures. Pics to come.

I am also a huge West Coast Avengers fan. I can't wait for Wonder Man. We also need a good Wasp and some bad guys for them to fight like Dread Knight and Whirlwind.

There were tons of Blade at Walmart. He was a pegwarmer for over 6 months in my area. I never thought they would leave but a big sale cleared them all out.

usagent27 09-22-2011 09:29 AM

Any ideas on how to make a Blade? What figs to use? GI Joes? MU?

i'm not gonna pay 45 for one

I don't understand it myself, but hopefully he fills in a big void for someone's diorama.

Exactly, he was one of the first and at that time many of us didn't know how big the MU series would get. Now that they've cranked out so many different characters, this is a great series to collect, but back then, who knew? And as far as there being a Wesley Snipes version, I'd be ok with that as a variant.

If you do not mind missing accessories and longer shipping times, try this one - for $15 with shipping to US Marvel Blade loose figure--3.75" | eBay - the seller has many MU figures, most of them loose and without accessory unfortunately.

Edit: There are the last two available now, but the seller relists a new batch from time to time...

A drop of crazy glue, and as it drys, keep moving the joint to make sure it doesn't lock up. I found a series 1 Captain America for ML for 2 bucks [well my brother did] but I had to work my magic to fix all his joints [I mean every, single, damn, one]. Now he's better than new! With this being said, I am not responsible if something goes wrong on your end!

I'll let you know when I pop them out of their plastic coffins, for now I have to finish an online exam.
