Thanos is nothing compared to the power of the Beyonder and neither is Doom.

You laugh, but you know it's true.

The Beyonder has the power to shape men's minds.

I don't remember that happening.

But if he did, then the Beyonder got them back in time for the sequel.

I'd agree the cosmic entities like Galactus and Phoenix really shouldn't be considered, since they're technically beyond the concepts of good and evil.

My answer would be a three-way tie between Thanos, Doom and Magneto. They all have realistic motivations for what they do: Thanos is a nihilist, Doom thinks he can bring peace and order to Earth if he was in charge and Magneto wants to protect mutant-kind from humanity [at any cost].

you put up a good argument but always remember,ALL HAIL DOOM\M/

Which is why I'm surprised you of all people started this particular thread. I would think your answer would be quite obvious.

Yes, Beyonder was able to trick Doom and steal the power back at the end of the first mini-series.

But the Beyonder is a sentient Cosmic Cube and I would disqualify "it" for that reason alone.

I thought this was a discusion of who our favorite is not who the most powerful is.

forgive my ignorrance but I am not schooled on the beyonder,so what you are saying is that the beyonder is the cosmic cube?or "a" cosmic cube, seriously,I lack in knowledge in this area.

The Beyonder isn't really a cosmic cube he is the embodiment of all of reality, and if you don't believe me then just ask Jim Shooter.

I'm changing my answer to Molecule Man then.

thanos, apocalypse and magneto approve ofhttp://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/...N/IMG_1009.jpg DOOM:

LOL! Nice pic.

Normy still goes #1 for me, based on recent events and had the biggest jump in villainy!

roshan 10-25-2011 11:48 AM

Absorbing Man will always be tops for me. Despite the fact that his growth as a villain is constantly being f'ed with depending on which writer is abusing him for whatever storyline he's looking to do. The take on him done by Alex Ross in Earth X was appropriate, but nobody wants to take him to that level it seems. They got close in the Hulk, but they made him a moron again in other titles.

I'm sorry, but Norman Osbourn would pose little threat compared to the Molecule Man, who is described by some as "The Most Dangerous Man in the Marvel Universe."

Power wise, for sure, Molecule Man could do anything he wanted, but he doesn't because he is a weak minded fool. Imagine if Doom possessed that kind of power?

boombatty 10-25-2011 03:35 PM

Thunderdome time folks....

2 men enter, one man leaves...

And I vote for Beyonder. Not a total villain but with that much power I don't see how it matters. He kicked the crap out of the Celestials, as in all of them, at once. Plus he wore a jumpsuit.

Yeah, but you didn't pick Doom, you picked Osbourn.

Besides, DOOMTRON's question was who posed the greatest threat, and based on power alone, that would be Molecule Man.

If you want to exclude him from competition because he is an inept simpleton, fine.

My new answer would be Ultron, because he is virtually impossible to kill, and in the future he conquers the entire Marvel Universe.

Good points, I do still choose Osborn because recently he has gotten the most done. Yes I know Ultron got a lot more done on a universal level. But lately, Doom has done fuck all which is disappointing. So based on the fact of "who has done the most lately" it will be Osborn. Who could cause the most damage, answer is Ultron. Who needs to do more? Answer is Doom.

I'm super psyched for Osborn's next story arc where he leads AIM and Madame Hydra against the Marvel Universe, but he needs to go crazy and start talking to himself again William Defoe in Spiderman style.

Oh, they are, but in one of the .1 books, AIM and Madame Hydra break Normy out of jail and want him to lead them against the MU in the next big crossover.

D00MTR0N 10-25-2011 03:50 PM

wait wait wait, whats all this about Ultron taking over in the future?

In the future Ultron has taken over the entire MU so Kang goes back in time to recruit a team of Avengers to stop him, but I forget what happens.

It was the plot of the Next Avengers cartoon movie, and the most recent Avengers re-boot.

Did you see Doom is Evil-Richards slave in the most recent issue of FF?
