whatever these "villains" are they look weak,cannot wait for this movie to be over,everything about this movie IMO looks dumb.

Slow it down there "Doom". The alien invaders do look pretty terrible, but the flick itself will probably hold up rather well considering all of its predecessors have been quite entertaining. No offense, but you jump to conclusions too easily.

Spoilers are starting to leak as to who they are allegedly. According to them, it's not the skrulls per se. Legal loopholes and all that. So Marvel probably doesn't want anyone to call them skrulls either, but the claims are that it's the Chitauri. Take with a grain of salt though. Could be fans just screwing around too. Though it does line up with the source material and everything else we've heard. Still seems rather meh considering everything else they've said about them just being in this movie etc. But whatever.

Doubtful. Last we saw it, it was in Odin's vault and I'm pretty sure the Allfather changed the locks after Loki betrayed him. So it's probably still there. Maybe it will be used in the sequel?

The worldwide premiere in Hollywood was last night. Twitter exploded.

Apparently the Hulk is the most representative iteration of the character so far. Hulk-haters fans were cheering at his action sequences.

ah ok,I forgot I couldnt have an opinion,whatever dude,IN MY OPINION the movie has always looked stupid,I dont care if its a blockbuster, its played out,what these writers and producers dont grip is there is a time to quit,instead they keep pumping out comic movies because ironman and a few others did well,but in doing so they(again IN MY OPINION)are palying it out,outside of the comic nerd crowd this movie wont go anywhere,maybe im wrong,if I am oh well.

So what exactly do you want to see?

I've mentioned them as a possibility before since it's a loop hole and the movie's are based on the Ultimate universe moreso, but I was really hoping they'd go for something more interesting to diverge from the animated feature more.

Not that I think it'll be the same at all anyway. Better action in the live, and different story. I was just hoping for alien's that made it more cohesive and would make sense with everything they've talked setup in previous movies. It still goes back to that Marvel synergy, but it just doesn't feel all that great a choice.

Granted again. Movie-verse, not comics. So I'll just have to deal with the fact that this is the Movie-verse interpretation of that race. Who knows, the movie may actually make them cool. I'm just kind of concerned with how they look, they might be offshoots of the Kree, or other similiar type story mechanics to bring Ms. Marvel in later and off handedly still reference this movie even though they're supposed to be a throwaway badguy.

Makes me wonder how the GOTG movie will deal with it, if it does.
On the flipside though, it's a cunniving little loop hole to use which may be expanded into making them a distinctly different race entirely than the skrulls.

This movie will bank for being a summer blockbuster. Awards season won't look twice at it though other than special effects. I do agree we need less tights, more emotional impact "superhero" features though. Right now it's just all about the tights. After they get over this though, comics are still ripe with potential movies. Cap's sequel seems to be on the right path for that with getting more emotional impact with how it's setup. The Wolverine looks promising with how it's setup in that regard too. Blockbuster superhero films are here to stay though, and so long as they do the action well, they will bank.
I just personally wish they would try to do both, high octane action and a story that makes you connect with the characters emotionally, but I've said my piece many times on that and what movie fox should do to prove that. xD

The rest of us...will be geeking out to this movie, which is getting some very positive comments from the premiere so far, one of which came from Seth Green.

I intend to avoid these movies,though last time I checked I was giving my opinion on said movies,the only problem I see is some of you not being able to digest the fact that there are people who think these movies are played out and the fact that it bothers you so much that those opinions exist.

I think the main point is tact.

It's not that you have your own opinions about the movie and the super-hero movies in general, just that you're so abrasive about it that it feels like you're shitting on other people for being into it.

I think most people, if not everyone, like you here dude. But what's the point of going around popping everyone's excitement balloons about a movie closely tied to what we're all fans of? It just comes off as rude, as if you are attempting to purposely insult the people who do like this whole section of movies.

You've stated multiple times that you think this movie will suck and you wish these movies would go away. This saddens many of the fans of this content purely because the interest in these movies garners interest in our collective geanre. Do you think Dr. Doom would be in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes or Ultimate Spider-Man in the same week if these movies weren't coming out? Probably not.

Your opinions are just that, and you're completely entitled to them. There are just much better ways of expressing them than flat-out claiming they will suck, or openly wishing they didn't exist at all.

Maybe explain your feelings a bit more. What about this particular movie's trailers leaves a bad taste in your mouth? What do you have reservations about? What are your opinions about the other movies produced along the same lines? What is your reasoning?

I sincerely hope you don't take this post as an attack on you, your opinions, or your presence here on the site. It isn't. It's just a my single attempt to quell the aggressiveness brewing in the thread. I have reservations about the Avengers movie as well, I always do. I almost always walk away from Marvel movies just a little less than satisfied. But I always look forward to the adventure of discovering another one, or being surprised by how great it can be in its own way.

Peterparker summed it up nicely enough, man. You're trolling when all you do is make a concise statement with nothing backing up why you dislike it. Now, granted you did state more after the fact when people called you out on it.

Just saying somethings terrible, nothing good about it, or played out and then ending your statement after about ten or twelve other people who posted something positive, sounds like you're hating just to hate. That is my perspective and why others are taken aback and I suspect its what started a lot of your drama on other sites that you claimed you were banned from.
