Vandal Savage 08-10-2012 01:50 PM

I am definitely getting that Wonder Woman.

Tiberius 08-10-2012 02:28 PM

Soooooo another Wonder Woman for me to get. BOOBIES!!

Barefootabe 08-10-2012 02:33 PM

now im in no rush to get that other DCUC wonder woman. i prefer the new look

ToyAddict 08-10-2012 06:58 PM

Is it not enough that Batman is getting his own line, that he also has to get a figure in the DC Unlimited line too?

And I don't see the thigh cut on Fatman. . .I mean Dark Knight Returns Batman. . .

And so much for the KMart exclusiveness of Batmite.

ARGH this is making me mad I didn't sub for next year. . .I don't want any of this stuff that's headed for retail!!! Where will I get my DC fix???

Dr Kain 08-10-2012 11:18 PM

I like the DKR one, but where the hell is Ras and Talia? If Mattel gives me both of them, I will buy every variant of Batman they release, even a Super Neon Colored Deluge Batman and Adam Fake Batman.

Dark Hayabusa 08-11-2012 10:14 AM

finally! A chance at getting a batmite That DRK fig is nice too

Prowl 2009 08-13-2012 06:48 AM

Will be getting all these, except Planet X Batman, not my style.

hrothgars 08-13-2012 10:27 AM

To be honest, there is nothing in Wave 2 that interests me all that much except for maybe that darker Bat-Mite (RIP Might).
  • DKR Bats won't display too well with other figs, and what are the chances we will get ANY other DKR figs?
  • RIP Zur-en-arrh Bats is ridiculous. I know the character really looks like this, but this is a one-off I can do without.
  • Wonder Woman is meh, and I am trying to reserve my n52 interest to a new Cyborg figure since I already have my "favorite" versions of the other main Leaguers. I don't want to "gateway" into needing a bunch of new n52 figures when I am happy with my current versions.
  • Injustice Bats is another videogame line that I don't expect I will be collecting with the exception of any figures that fill gaps in the DCUC line-up.

So as far as retail figs go, it looks like I will be getting Red Robin, Superboy Prime, Batgirl, Hawkman, and then try to trade Legacy Bat-Mite for RIP Might.

Thank goodness for the sub.

Tiberius 08-13-2012 11:53 AM

Just realized that Fatman uses a MOTUC buck XD.

OMG it is! I wonder if the head pops off? That cape would look great on my skeletor

Tiberius 08-13-2012 01:40 PM

Well, seeing as they are now using MOTUC bucks in DC, ever think we may start seeing DCUC bucks in MOTUC?

There is a discussion of the limitations on a different site. In a nutshell, the 4H have no licensing restrictions against using MOTOC parts/pieces in DC lines, but DC has licensing limits in their contract prohibiting 4H from using DC parts/pieces in the MOTOC line.

Tiberius 08-13-2012 01:57 PM

To bad :(

Hey, DC Fans! For those wondering, it looks like Toys R Us Canada will start carrying the DC All-Star, DC Unlimited and Batman Unlimited lines in the coming months!

I sent the TRU Canada team a message on their Facebook page asking if these lines will be available at TRU Canada and they quickly responded back with:

Hey John, sounds like this is on the horizon. Check back closer to the holidays. Thanks!

So, as the Holiday's get closer and closer, I'll be keeping tabs on this and will be posting an update when available!

For those wondering if the newly revealed Batman Unlimited Dark Knight Returns Batman utilizes parts from MOTU, itsalltrue.net has uncovered the truth...

Twitter user Poe Ghostal asked the Four Horsemen straight out if this new Batman figure uses parts from past MOTU figures and the 4H responded as follows:

Yes and no. Parts of him [DKR Batman] are MotU re-use and some are not.

Okay, so the answer was kind of vauge. Thankfully, Toy Guru shed some further light on this mystery on the Matty Collector forums:

I actually checked with the DC team. This is not a Batman fig using the MOTU buck. It is in “scale” to MOTUC (in order to create that unique one time Dark Knight Returns look) but the only MOTUC part it uses is the shoulders. All other parts are brand new. We were happy to loan the use of the shoulders as a one time help for the DC team, but as always, MOTU classics parts will only be used on MOTUC toys.

So there you have it, new shoulders and that's it...

As a small side note: On their Twitter account, The Four Horsemen also went on to address the figures height by saying simply:

Don’t worry about the height. He looks awesome.

And I couldn't agree more! With The Dark Knight Returns on the cusp of its 26th anniversary and the new animated flick hitting stores in about 40 days, I seriously can't wait for this piece to hit retail!

Prowl 2009 08-16-2012 07:11 AM

During their latest Q&A with Mattel, itsalltrue.net uncovered the total number of figures that we can expect from both the Batman Unlimited and DC Unlimited lines in 2013...

From the Ask Matty Aug. 15th session:

DCClassics.Com Asks: For collectors looking to budget, how many waves/assortments is Mattel planning for the Batman & DC Unlimited retail lines in the next few months?

We are not ready to announce that yet as we need to align with retailers first.

Editor’s Note: The triumvirate “Matty Justice League” answered a similar question yesterday on the Mattel forums. The response to that answer was decidely less vague: “We are planning a total of 12 figs in the Batman Unlimited line and 10 in the DC Comics Unlimited line for 2013″.

With only 10 figures being released in the second half of this year and only 22 (so far) on tap for next year, DC Collectors can probably skip a few toy hunts for the forseeable future.

And so, there we have it. Nice to know the number, but hopefully the remaining slots won`t be filled by more Batman figures. :p

Thanks to Mattel and itsalltrue.net!

Dr Kain 08-16-2012 04:32 PM

Wait, how do you have 10 figures this year? There are 3 Batman ones and 3 DC ones coming out for the first waves.

There are 4 figs in the DC All-Stars wave.

From my understanding, those do not count as part of the Unlimited line. Even if they do, you only have 8 figures since both Batman and Superman are just reissues.

Anyway, like I said in the other topic, I'm still deciding if I want the New 52 figures. I wanted them this time last year when the New 52 first came out. Now that all of the hype is gone and the comics have turned out to be quite lackluster in terms of writing, I just do not know if I care enough anymore.

Prowl was talking about all figures for 2012 (10, comprised of 3 Batman Unlimited, 3 DC Unlimited, and 4 DC All Stars) and then a total of 22 figures (12 batman Unlimited + 10 DC unlimited) for 2013.

Batman and Superman are each counted twice among the 2012 figures because the figures are redecos, not reissues.

Hello guys! my first post. I am a usual over on the tfw site and recently got into collecting dc figs. Mostly batman and his rogues. So far I've got:

Black suit batman
Young Justice batman
Golden age joker
secret files two-face
DCSH scarecrow
DCSH Bane
Knightfall bane
deadshot
jumpsuit riddler
black mask
Clayface

Now I want an azrael for my collection. I see there is a red one on ebay, but my question is, has this one been released at retail? if not, is there a release date for it yet? Before I take the plunge on one from china, I was hoping I could score this locally. Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

It has been released at retail, but that was a long time ago. I believe there have been two releases for the figure. 1. In the DC Superheroes line. 2. As a two pack in the early stages of DCUC with Batgirl. Either one is really expensive last time I checked (which is annoying considering I passed on the two pack God knows how many times) so you may be better of going with the China seller, depending on price of course.

igniz1984 08-21-2012 02:58 PM

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I mean this azrael:

http://www.actionfigurepro.info/imag...yjg~~60_12.jpg

Although the DCSH one is very nice, it is out of my price range. Also interested in this pack as well because I want a blue batman, but without the dark shading on the forehead similar to the wave 1 version.
