Starlord67 05-26-2015 11:45 AM

So... Any guessing on the Hasbro Marvel legends SDCC exclusive? I'm thinking something with the Inhumans.

I was hoping it's that EE GOTG set haha:P Cause if not dang it haha, if it's another set man that's more $$...Usually the TF's and Legends kill me on the SDCC, the 3.75 not as bad.

I doubt it due to the fact we got something like that last year , okay maybe just two of em, best bet is to wait for the film to come out.

Hoping to be x-men theme maybe

They would never put Spider-Gwen in a SDCC set. They would never give up having her be the 2 per case in the 2016 spider man figures. Much in the same way I expect them to double pack a new Miles Morales in the same way. Those 2 figures have got to be coming in 2016, they must.
Most likely it will be a "Magic" themed set, possibly with Magik and Dormammu and a couple others.
I would love an Inhumans set with Gorgon, Triton, Lockjaw, Maximus, and Karnak. Since we already got Black Bolt and Medusa last year I would love to see the family complete.

I had no idea that was this weekend. They didn't have much last year so I guess I didn't miss anything. Other than standing in line for 5 hours.

ireign 05-26-2015 01:09 PM

What if the SDCC exclusive is a Phoenix Five set? They can finally add that missing Phoenix Five Cyclops from the Puck Exclusive wave, Magik that was teased, have Emma repainted (remolded?), and a New Namor and Colossus

Sure why not. I want a magik figure so bad and I realized recently I need a Namor. Emma and Cyclops would be neat too (i'm not a Colossus fan.)

I really doubt it's going to be X-Men related, though I'd love to be proven wrong on that.

That would be SICK!!!!!

I know this won't be a popular idea, but how cool would it be if one of the SDCC exclusives is a set of Secret Wars figures, but with the original bodies of the ones from the 80's? They're doing those covers with the old style looking figures and they said there would be cut outs of those guys, but I would love a set of Secret Wars figures.

Funny you should mention that. i was talking to my LCS guy and another costumer there. we all agreed that not only would that be a great idea, but im sure they would sell like hot cakes..... same vintage look and what not. i would totally hop on a black costume spider-man figure like the original figure from secret wars in the 80s.

Doubtful as Gentle Giant is already releasing a set of throwback figures for Secret Wars.

those are also suppposed to be 12 inches each as opposed to the original size.

mechaoros23 05-26-2015 04:41 PM

Anyone have a Timmy from the Pitt series

donmeca2020 05-26-2015 07:37 PM

i finally said the hell with it..... i had anti venom, ultimate spider - woman and daredevil just sitting here with the hobgoblin BAF pieces... i decided to take them out and build ol hobby here...

while i decided im going to keep daredevil the other 2 i'll try selling on cragistlist and maybe see what my LCS could do with them.

in the mean time hobby is going with the rest of my spidey line up on the shelf !!

Yeah, these are up scaled versions of the original ones. If I recall, when Marvel first announced Secret Wars, they said it was a huge marketing overhaul that would include toys and apparel. It makes me wonder what exactly those toys will be. I can't help but wonder if once the relaunch happens, we only see post secret wars characters made in the Legends lines.

VonPooten 05-27-2015 01:47 AM

Since XM Studios have been ordered to halt all X-Men and Fantastic Four-related statues for the foreseeable future, and Secret Wars merchandising (based on the original series' covers) has either replaced X-Men/Fantastic Four characters with ones that are in the MCU or have been removed altogether, it seems unlikely that we'll be seeing Magik or anyone X-related at SDCC this year.

So, after decades of X-Men almost single-handedly keeping Marvel afloat financially (alongside Spider-Man), Marvel has turned their back on the property mighty fast.

I just read about that. It's nice to seemingly have some evidence of such nonsensical shut-outs regarding FF and X-Men products. I probably would have never been able to own it, but that Cable statue looked awesome. Jean Grey looks great as well.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with both Mattel and Marvel Select, and what kind of characters they produce in the near future.

I'm not sure why this is surprising to anyone...

BAD MOON 05-27-2015 06:03 AM

My bet is on the SDCC Exclusive being the 4 Death Horseman from the Uncanny Avengers series. Typically, the exclusive stems from the previous year in comics, and most of the molds already exist for the most part. I'd be down for this.

donmeca2020 05-27-2015 06:33 AM

Whatever exclusive it'll be om sure it's going to be something popular in the current marvel xomics.... while i believe inhumans will be the next thing marvel pushes hard, i'd hope for anything other then that....

Off that topic, last night as i placed my BAF hobgoblin on my shelf last night, superior soider fell off.... i picked him up and reposed him. Now for some reason his right leg looks, like crap....
