Just got married three months ago and have an eight week old daughter. :D

The wife's easing back into work slowly.

We'll get there, it's just gonna be a couple months or so.

Thanks!!

Congrats on the baby and the wifey! I tried out marriage once... ha ha

Let me know if you want me to keep an eye out for one in the future. I just hope prices don't continue to rise. I think they're leveling off right now, but I could be mistaken.

Pictures! I don't even recall this set.

Also, I agree with how certain characters in MS size work well with ML.. mainly the huge guys like Hulk, Rulk, Thing, Juggernaut etc etc etc. If you don't have one already, I highly recommend that Juggernaut. That sucker is huge and super heavy. It's just plain bad ass.

WoRkAh0LiC 09-08-2012 09:44 PM

Well, this thread is moving pretty slow today, as is the MU one. Here's my WIP (wall in progress lol). Still got quite a bit of work to do and I need to finish it by tomorrow afternoon. Busy week coming up...

http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/...x/f1892cb2.jpg

Going to add one more row of figs, but there will be an empty spot under Series 3 Wolvie that will be waiting for my Series 5 Blade... whenever I find/buy him. Also need a Terrax Wave Thor, Clear Shield Steve & a Daken...

I have more space to the left to expand by 1 or 2 more figures in that direction, but leaving that empty for future MLs from older waves. The plan right now is to go over to the next wall and put up Wave 3 MLs on top. Also going to put up some comic 2 packs and MU figs. It's going to take a while...

Going based off of recently sold items on eBay, I'd say yes. That 2 pack has sold for (with shipping included):
$42.68
$43.00
$44.98
$45.99

So basically, it's not a bad deal - it's slightly less than the average going rate. Now if someone else on this forum has it, you might be able to get a better price than that.

EDIT: I found a few more completed listings from not so long ago that had them selling for more. Just wanted to let you know that.

FancyPants 09-08-2012 09:55 PM

workaholic, that's really cool. Never seen everything MOC.

Something of substance on the MU page: my new awesome motorcycle :)

1942 Harley Flat Head? I think I commented about it. I'd like one that's 1:1 scale lol

freakout117 09-08-2012 09:57 PM

I actually found it at a toy store.

Well as I said, it's not a bad price - cheaper than what it's going for on eBay. With tax, however, it would be about the same price.

Interesting. I've never seen that before. MJ looks like she's stoned.

freakout117 09-08-2012 10:49 PM

Maybe for NYCC it will be a 2-pack of Northstat and Amora, with an accessory of Puck!

Looks pretty cool. I wish that he came with some sunglasses as an accessory. At least he came with an arrow. The Walmart 6" Hawkeye didn't come with any arrows, which totally sucks. Is that stand the one he comes with?

That's the older DP, right? Which one? This is why I think that X-Force DP will actually increase in value even though Red/Black DP is the running change (like how FF Spidey was the running change). There are already so many DPs in Red/Black out there, but the X-Force DP is the first of it's kind. I know it's just a repaint, but there's never been one like that before.

WoRkAh0LiC 09-08-2012 11:46 PM

http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/...x/5580d80c.jpg

This wall is done for now. Empty spaces on left from top to bottom will be:
Black Widow if they ever make one
Steve Rogers Clear Shield Variant (Terrax Series)
Thor (Terrax Series)
Oh yeah, the Neo Classic IM next to Series 3 Wolvie is just a place holder for Daken.

I decided to just line the bottom with MU Comic 2 packs instead of more Legends. The wall to the right will be more Legends and all of my MU stuff. I have no idea wtf I'm going to do once 2013 MLs come out . Going to have to find somewhere to put that Series V Blade I've been wanting as well - I'm running out of space...

WoRkAh0LiC 09-09-2012 12:08 AM

Forgot to mention that all of those are held up by one of these:

http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/...x/e9d09dc9.jpg

It's called a Wall Dog Screw Anchor. I was lucky enough to find a black version at Home Depot. Looks much better than silver all over the place. While I'll still use Push-pins for my MU figs, I don't want to risk one of these falling on my head while I'm in bed during an earthquake. lol

WoRkAh0LiC 09-09-2012 04:04 AM

Copied this over from the MU thread. Thought I'd post in both threads since there's MU and ML in the pics...

My walls are almost done. Here's a few pictures...
http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/...x/12e52b80.jpg

Wave 3 and most of my MU. I'm fairly new to collecting, so I don't have a whole lot of stuff like some of the other guys on here - you know who you are! Last 4 on top are just place holders for the running change figures (Blade, Danielle Moonstar, FF Doom & Red/Black DeadPool). Empty spot in the middle is for a MU X-Force Wolvie that an awesome Arker by the name of Falle69lee04 is sending to me. Thanks Lee - you da man!
http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/...x/85963938.jpg

I still have to hang up my Marvel Select figures except for Juggernaut and Thing. I'm thinking of going with a Detolf to display those along with my ML X-Force Set and my MU X-Force set. I'm concerned that Jugg and Thing will not stay up for long if I hang them because they're just too heavy. Space is a commodity in a 1 bedroom apartment. I didn't realize I had this much until I started to pull everything out of the boxes. My collection has grown too fast... gotta slow it down a bit and start to pick up only the figs that I really must have.
