I seriously doubt it will take them to 2023 to release those Spider-Men figures. With 2022 being the 60th anniversary of Spider-Man in the comics as well as the 20th anniversary of the 2002 film, they were probably already working on a figure of Tobey. Most likely Andrew as well. The only thing that would hold those two up would be getting NWH accurate unmasked head sculpts. They clearly didn't get any direction for Tom's suits since both suits in the Armadillo wave are wrong. But they could very easily retool the Upgrade Suit mold to get Tom's final suit in the film.

They’re not waiting because they want to. They weren’t told about or shown designs for the other other Spider-Men prior to release. That’s why those characters were completely absent from every company’s toy line for the movie.

So the best thing we found out is yes Moon Knight comes with 2 moon weapons (they clip together) and yeah I'm very worried about how clean the gold will show up once we get the figure in person ???? fingers crossed that there are no QC issues, also how big the suit looks on Mr.Knight the arms look very thin compared to the rest of the figure

TheBlueMarvel 04-13-2022 12:09 PM

^The standard suited body was always going to present a problem in representing the powerful physique of any mid-large hero. That said, Mr. Knight, whether the result of artistic limitations, or oversight from editors not well heeled with the character, wasn't illustrated as a heavily muscled man in a suit making the discrepancies regarding thickness of limb less important.

As far as QC issues and accessory translations are concerned, there has been some laziness in execution even for MCU figs lately, but Moon Knight should still receive more TLC than do most of the standard comic canon figs.

Honestly, I'm more put off by the arbitrary decision to make the character a Brit and the casting of a puny dude as the hero. Oscar Isaac is a wonderful actor, but he is a little man.

ThorOdinson123 04-13-2022 12:26 PM

Looks like Hasbro's price increase isn't going well with the online stores. The Thor Wave was showing up on Walmart's website for $22.99.(Thor wave not in stock) The newest transformers deluxes from yesterday's stream are showing up on amazon for $22.99. Same for the Dr Strange MOM wave $22.99 on amazon for the figures.

Not digging the skinny arms on Mr. Knight but Moon Knight looks great.

He is but most of the first two episodes have focused around another of his personalities. Leaving it there for now so as not to spoil anything.

Maybe mk is just brit with that personality. Hopefully the regular marc spector takes control soon.

Yes, that personality is British. PM me if you want to know more as I do not want to spoil anything for others here.

ThorOdinson123 04-13-2022 04:41 PM

Moon and Mr Knight are up on Amazon for pre-order $22.99 each.

I read this and all I could think of was the line said by Pfister the butler from the Gene Wilder film 'Haunted Honeymoon': "You mean he's just a widdle man? That's all I was asking."

Seriously though, I don't know if anyone saw, but Dan Yun left a post on Twitter saying that there will be more Marvel Legends content shown next week for Fan First Tuesday than just the Thor: Love and Thunder wave, which he mentioned with the hammer and lightning emojis. If nothing else, I just want to see them reveal Toad or tell us anything about his new figure. I know it likely won't be revealed next week for the next live-stream, but I do hope to see some more Retro/60th anniversary Spider-Man wave reveals and more from the Marvel Legends 20th anniversary wave sooner than later.

Also, after seeing the 2023 Spider-Men post from Hasbro Pulse, I'm curious if we'll get any new 'No Way Home' villain figures. If nothing else, I'd at least like to see Alfred Molina's Doc Ock, Jamie Foxx's Electro in either his green-and-yellow jacket look or his final battle suit look, and the Green Goblin released.

I'll be celebrating by attending an anime convention. It's going to be a fun weekend!

DVDs? Those are out on Blu-Ray these days.

MeLikeJinx 04-16-2022 02:26 AM

^ DVDs are good enough for anime though IMO... especially older anime. I remember going to Blockbuster and renting all 6 VHS tapes of Record of Lodoss War then driving to my cousin's place and we watched all of them in one night. I have not seen it since though... so might need to watch it again one day.

No, actually they're not.

For one thing, a lot of older anime was animated on film and as long as the studio owns the original film prints, they can be remastered to even 16K at this point. The Big O's first season and Record of Lodoss War were animated on film, while The Big O's second season was animated in HD. Thus, the difference between their DVD releases and Blu-Rays is astronomical. The Big O looks incredible on BD.

Secondly, DVD had a lot of compression issues. The more episodes you put onto a disc the higher the compression. DVD was actually a very ugly format in the grand scheme of things, but it was definitely a step up from VHS. That's why Discotek has been releasing everything not in HD on SDBD. They can fit a full series on one to two discs depending on its length and it doesn't have any of the compression due to the higher quality discs.

Yah but i dont have a blu ray player and the dvds work good for me. ;)

My 'ugly' Hulks have arrived and the in-hand jade giant ain't too shabby. Of course, I'm quite partial and have mentioned multiple times before that I meet few Hulks that I don't like. That said, the heads aren't heinous and, for me, the screaming noggin does make for a good Savage-Hulk. What also tracks well in my opinion is the paint application; I prefer darker hues for the Hulk.

The screamin’ hulk head could also be constipated from eating at mcdonalds hulk head.

jwyss234 04-16-2022 06:31 PM

I received my 20th Anniversary Hulk today from Pulse. I forgot I had put an order in for him on Pulse and BBTS so of course, the day I tell BBTS to ship my PoL is also the day Pulse charges me. I should have the second 20th Hulk along with the Marvel Select Immortal Hulk sometime next week.

Overall, I really like this new Hulk. I'm a big fan of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the 20th Ann. Hulk is the closest we've gotten to the show's character model. I also love the emotion shown in the two heads. The ground accessory is neat but a little hard to work with IMO. It does a good job if you want to show Hulk slamming someone into the ground. But in my mind, it's meant to show Hulk stomping the ground which results in the pavement getting pushed upwards and backwards. Again in my mind, this sort of thing would knock a character off balance or eject them into the air. But to get a figure to stay on the foot pegs means putting them in a stance where they are stable. I probably need to try a few different figures and work with the stand a bit more to really get it.

Some quick shots.
