Mattel used to produce some of the best world building stuff with their WWE lines...no reason why Hasbro couldn't, especially these days with the rising popularity of toy photography. |

Honestly I'm pretty much going to pass on it, but if the HasLab was an Avengers Mansion or the X-Mansion I would consider it. But it would need to be to scale for the figures themselves of course, so that would be huge.

My god, even at $6 a piece The Eternals figurs are still clogging the shelves at every Target I go to.
I guess that new GotG set is cool. Glad I don't have any interest in it though so that I can have the Disney Store cancel my preorder 6 months later. |

But generally I have decided that unless it's an amazing upgrade of an already done character that I'm finished buying Avengers stuff. Quote:

My local Gamestop had Leader for $13 so I figured it was time to pick him up. When the figure was first released I was confident that I'd be able to play it patient and get him down the road for close to $10 but to my surprise that wave actually sold pretty well locally except for the game Cap and Iron Man and I didn't really bother keeping up with it online. Anyway I've finally got Leader and even at the reduced price it's hard not to immediately critique the figure's utter lack of accessories fresh out of the box, aside from the BAF part of course. That goofy sci-fi pistol that Sharon Carter came with finally has a purpose it seems, I actually quite like it as something Sterns cobbled together in a pinch. He's got a good head sculpt, striking colors, he's the rare Hulk villain figure, and he was almost half-off so I'm happy to add him to the collection. |

So I've been pondering what stretch goals could potentially come with these hypothetical Haslab projects. Now that I've thought about it Fin Fang Foom has some good options: Fire blast mouth effect (bonus if there's light effects in the head for the eyes and mouth that pipe through the flame), comic Mandarin, maybe Aaron Stack/Machine Man or Tabitha Smith AKA Boom shakalaka in Nextwave attire, more snakelike head to use him as the Midgard Serpent, classic or modern alternate head/faceplate depending on the interpretation of the core figure, removeable purple cloth trunks though that should really already be included, Dum Dum Dugan since Fin Fang Foom is Godzilla-adjacent I guess, small dragon statue from when his essence was in a dragon statue, maybe at least one of the Ten Rings 1:1 scale, and finally I don't know maybe shattered ground effects or base like the new Anniversary Hulk.

I've never bought a single Haslab project, only way I'll ever get anything from this project is if they finally do some city street dio consisting of streets/sidewalks, a few building facades in battle damaged condition. The buildings could be solid plastic pieces and just snap together to assemble , same for the streets, whole layout should be about 3 ft long & 1ft in depth with buildings ranging from 8' tall to 16' in hgt. |
Id like to see a new fantomex at regular retail.

I really hope that Hasbro doesn't listen to these calls for a diorama Haslab. I'd much rather they opt for a team build-out that wouldn't be an option for retail. Use the format to release the remaining balance of Galactus' heralds, Eternals, the Inhuman Royal Family, the few missing Thunderbolts along with Atlas, Squad Supreme, or the Starjammers. Or even Shuma, Fing, Ymir, or a true Surtur. Not a dio.
There will be a narrowing in the scope of characters released if collectors, claiming to be priced out, stop buying in droves, or wait months for deep discounts. Given the likelihood of that being the landscape moving forward, I'd prefer to preserve whatever venues that remain for the delivery of canon characters that have yet to see the light of day. |

Hell, they could even just do a generic set of dioramas that would work across all of their lines. A jungle/forest set-up would work for all of them. A space ship based one would be compatible with Power Rangers, Star Wars, and Marvel. Streets or alley ways could work for any line. |
If the line ends up shifting into an end-phase, I don't want opportunities to get the most out of whatever is left squandered. Find a talented dio-maker (it ain't hard) and support their art. In return you'll get a custom (mostly) piece without the year long wait. With all the recent yapping about Hasbro's corporate greed, I think the suggestion of supporting talented members of our shared community might represent a viable option.

I got an amazon gift card recently, and I'm wondering which Love and Thunder figure I should use it on. I'm wondering which ones will be harder to find if I wait. Thoughts anyone?

As for the F4, they're a hard sell, mostly because of the Fox stuff and because the last attempt at bringing them to the silver screen was so terrible. But I think they're MCU stock will be on the rise if it hasn't started already. Quote:
