Anyway, I saw DS2 today. I liked it, but I didn't love it. There was a lot of good bogged down by horrible campy acting and poor pacing issues. Oh, and SPOILER QUESTION MAYBE why the hell do we have a BAF for a character that had maybe a minute of screen time? |

To that end, I am interested in whether this is a sign of the future with the line or simply Target fed up with under performing products and 20+ of the same figure that they are unable to move. That being said, as you alluded to, being dropped by a major retailer may still spell disaster in the long term. As someone who dropped the line in 2018 and has since only returned with an intent for cosmic characters and the occasional interesting figure, I am definitely in your camp regarding Haslab as well. |

I noticed your absence and return; glad you are back for at least Marvel Cosmic; we've been getting some love and I hope you are happy with Nova and Quasar. I think Nash captured best what we longterm heads are feeling. Those of us that have seen the line change hands and die are reliving some familiar pangs: Quote:

Completely agreed. I'm wondering if Target perhaps had even larger sticker shock than we have at the increase- after all, much of the last few waves have been hanging around for ages or ending up getting clearanced out. Id imagine dealing with that at the old prices was already tough enough as is, I'd imagine being told they'd have to do the same at a higher price point is a tough pill to swallow. This is all conjecture, of course. I first heard of it through Toyguru (ymmv) on YouTube, and have since seen rumblings of it elsewhere. Hopefully there's something else at play here- it'd kinda suck to have essentially just gotten into a line just to have it disappear |

for the movies that just came out like yesterday and hit home release and is still a best seller respectively. Kind of weird. Plus the main aisle set for all the Thor 4 toys, but not a single peg for the Thor wave. Which is odd, because even months ago when the planogram was planned out they would have known about the new figures to plan around the street date. So Legends might just be taking a break and will be added back later on a revision, or Target just has a new plan in mind for the figures, but either way the timing is really suspect. I also saw DS2 today, I liked it a lot. Much better handled than the first movie, as Raimi nailed the magic and the horror with that comic book mix of surprises as I suspected. |

All that being said, Hasbro has also been making some questionable choices lately with some other lines. Classified is on something like it's 6th Snake Eyes in 2 years with the most recent being a slightly modified and repainted version of the Snake Eyes and Timber set that was just released within the last 6-8 months. I have read/seen/heard similar rumblings regarding their other lines as well. Legends does seem to be faring worse than the rest though when it comes to questionable decisions. Here is hoping this is only a temporary bump in the road. |

The same goes for the Doctor Strange stuff. Most of my stores have had Chavez, Strange, and Wong collecting dust. Some also have Sleepwalker and D'Spyre as well. Quote:

New sculpt saw 12 different versions from 02-04, and they really went nuts for 25th- there are no less than 22! versions of Snake Eyes during the first two years of that line. Y'all think you're tired of Wolverine? There are 68 1/18 versions of Snake Eyes, only 6 of which came out during the original ARAH run. 6 Classified Snake Eyes? They seem to be taking it easy. |

Shit, I got all caught up in speculation and forgot what I meant to post initially. You guys should expect to see the Bonebreaker wave sometime soon, I managed to get Siryn yesterday.
Decent figure. Not great, it'd take a proper screaming face to push her into greatness, but otherwise pretty good. I suppose I'm just happy enough to be one figure away from having X-Force finished. Now if we could just get a few villains... |
Saw the whole Love and Thunder wave at my nearest Walmart... just picked up Jane Thor... was gonna pass on the whole wave at first, but then IMO Natalie Portman's facesculpt is actually a lot better in hand then I thought it would be... so had to grab her. But damn, it was $30.60 plus tax... like I'm pretty sure that is one of the signs of the Apocalypse... right after the Nile turning red and raining frogs... comes $30 Legends singles at retail.

Strange I see mixed reviews for both Moon Knight finale & Doctor strange multiverse of madness I found them both very good & sure both are a little rushed, but some folks are viciously hating both of them, well to each there own....Not a real spoiler for me but still ....
What a waste of a build a figure for Doctor strange multiverse of madness |

Thor toys officially released on 4/26. The Legends are even in-stock on Pulse right now, so there's no logical reason to not be out on shelves at Target right now, too. Quote:
And I do agree with the critics on Doctor Strange that if you haven't been keeping up with D+ or have decent knowledge of various Marvel elements like the movie expects you to, than this movie will not be as enjoyable and is a weaker film for it. |

I want the remaining Guardians so badly I can taste it and I'm right there with you. That's why, for me, Hasbro's comic canon dialups will be more important than ever. If we are setting up for another hiatus, there will be a shifting of my character priorities and preferences. I was deeply saddened when Mattel closed up shop on their DCUC waves. I thought they had finally hit upon a positive vein with their Multiverse re-vamp and I still look for prototypes from that Mammoth wave on Ebay... |
DAMN. DAMN. DAMN!!
Rest in peace, George Perez. |
