I hope so too. Despite not caring about Banshee, I'll be happy to see that particular void filled for fans. However, if these parts are reused, including the colors, then the dial-up will likely be blue & gold Banshee, which will likely draw the ire of a schmoe or two out there. But fret not, future whiners, whomever you may be, because you can't spell Hasbro without "shameless double dip!" A green FA banshee will also be served up for you for the bargain basement rate of $30 faster that you can say, "I'm being taken advantage of, again." Set your clock by it!

Honestly dude, the blue & gold team is more iconic to me than the Giant Sized because the OG team was before my time. Now the blue and gold wasn't exactly MY X-men, that would be the Smith and JRJR runs, but at least that Lee team existed while I was collecting, albeit after I'd lost interest in the book.

If they give me a Giant Sized Banshee (not first appearance, he looked weird in the older issues) with multiple heads, interchangeable cape wings like FA Storm had, a flight stand, and effects, I'd be more than willing to pay $50 for him.

I think the yellow/blue costumes would be better suited for a full on box set.

I'm in the "prefer the B&G, Giant Size was before my time" camp myself, but in all honesty, either look would be welcomed by me.

I always loved X-men issue 275... IMO a X-men strike team set would be worth it just to get a new Psylocke headsculpt with her hair tied back... and of course Banshee.

I think he means he prefers the Blue & Gold (B&G) classic X-Men suit look for Banshee over the Giant Size X-Men green and yellow suit. I agree, though, that I'd take a figure of either look for Banshee. I'd also take a Generation X suit figure for Banshee down the line, too.

Not quite a novel idea, but both the strike team and the original New Mutants outfits could be released as army builders in both male and female, with different heads and accessories and save us a bit. And they’d have a big seller.

Isn't Banshee's early Gen-X costume essentially the same as Lee's blue & gold look? The color of the X-buckle might be the only distinction, with the Gen-X threads having a red belt buckle.

I'd love a full on Blue and Yellow/Gold boxset. At the very least I'd take Banshee in those colors.

I don't have the nostalgia for the green that I do the blue. Same reason I don't collect 12" GI Joe or quote Howdy Doody.
That period of X-Men is before my time as a reader.

That absolutely makes sense but it's funny how that works. For me technically both were before my time but as a kid my original exposure to comics was reading those large paperback collections in my school library that were as thick as phone books. And of course those were the older comics from the 60s and 70s. So I also have more nostalgia for those sorts of things. But yeah I prefer green Banshee.

Sorry, I still don't understand why you need to have nostalgia for it to like it. I read the Claremont run of X-Men for the first time in 2016 and the early designs are my preferred designs because of how incredible the stories were. Therefore, there is no nostalgia behind it. Nostalgia for me would be favoring the Jim Lee designs since X-Men #1 was my first X-Men comic and the cartoon is what i grew up on, which I don't.

Yeah same. I consider the Claremont era “my” X-Men, even though it was before I came into reading comics. From GSXM to the outback era is my nostalgia spot for the team, and therefore my preference.

I think all of my character/ costume choices for ML wants & purchases are informed by childhood reading. Example: I don’t need Venom for my Spider-Man shelf, but would consider Crime-Master indispensable.

The TLDR version is that we collect differently, and I'm 100% here for nostalgia. There's very little "current" with any of my collection. Hell, I wouldn't touch Classiified until they grounded the designs, and most of my Switch shelf is made up of remakes, continuations of classic franchises, or classic game compilations.
