Yes it is. Bandai Soul Effect Burning Flame to be exact. I bought both a blue & red one. They are pretty cool....

CMIII 08-14-2014 01:11 PM

as far as DCC/DCD i am very whatever about them, Yeah people may like them personally I find them as statues not meant to move (you move them once and the articualtion gets loose). As for Total Heroes, I think the lack of attention at SDCC was enough to say that line is about to be put in the box and Buried

That might just make me get those flames. Could you post a pic of the red one?? The official pics online look more orange. The Blue looks better than the promo pics, so I might get both if they look good.

Also what about is the diameter of the base of the flames?? in inches?? Thanks

I used Etrigan, because he seemed appropriate and he is one of my favorite DC characters.

The base pieces range from 3 to 4 inches. Two of the three base pieces can be separated into two parts (the other is a solid mold). The four hand/wrist attachments can all be separated into two parts. It should be noted that the plastic used is the perfect kind of pliable material, allowing the hand/wrists effects to stretch around larger wrists of 6" figs. I think these things, along with the Soul Effect Impact (of which I have the beige and gray versions - let me know if you want pics), are the bees knees!

I've had Killer Croc for a while now and it's fine. Maybe it's just some of the older figures, though I will slightly agree on the statues point. However I don't mean that in the "little to no pose" way (though some have little to no pose) I mean statue as in "get a good pose and display it", kind of like NECA figures. They look freaking great, and NECA figure's have a good deal of pose, but the best way to have one is to get a nice pose and then shelf it (or where ever you keep your figures). DCC/DCD is the more adult-collector oriented line of DC toys available so they should be a little more like statues (better detail at the cost of pose, usually, some have good pose too). If you like to fiddle with your figures frequently then I definitely wouldn't recommend DCC as your go-to DC figure source. To each his/her own.

Just a quick little heads up Huntress is back up on Mattycollector today.

CMIII 08-15-2014 11:46 AM

Yes again the Item is only open for MOTU people thanks to Prefered Access. The Item will be availible on Monday. If you could please say for Early Access it's misleading to say it's availible right now.

Dr Kain 08-15-2014 04:19 PM

1. Huntress is available right now. EA was yesterday.

2. If this is true, then this is just dirty Mattel:

Is that how it came or did you switch it?

Dr. Kain is that what I think it is????????? If it is I am taking the Gloves off and Mattel is going to ripped a new one. It appears that is what I think it is Doomsday Unleashed. I knew that they had them tooled and ready just needed to see what they would sell at SDCC, I also said they would slip into the Market at some point..

By the way my bad I just realized what day it was

CMIII 08-15-2014 05:45 PM

It appears the figure may yet be released I am willing to bet that about the time the MOTU Club announcement is made we will get some Clarification from Scott as to what exactly this is.. After being jerked around for the last year I do think he ows us an explination...

Hold up the explination is up..... http://forums.mattycollector.com/eve...7/m/3461042478

but lets be honest why would this Image get leaked unless there was some plans. We do know at times Mattel has suffered a rather Dishonest streak and says "NO, NO, NO" and three months later Magically it becomes "Yes"

This is a mock up we put together to show internally and to our licensor partners what "could have been" a package idea had the sub sold. The sculpt as you recall was shown at Sdcc and we still have it of course! We often do test proof of concepts but try to always avoid showing them to prevent and incorrect info or jumping to conclusions.

We'd of course have loved to do this for the sub or Sdcc but alas the sub did not hit the numbers we needed!

Yeah this about covers it.... Mattel's has only lost 1 billion dollars this year. They sold out of all the DC figures (C/S {except Batzaro} and New) this year but if they release this it just might make money...

1987olds442 08-15-2014 06:41 PM

I really hope that Unleashed Doomsday will indeed be released.

Kernel 08-15-2014 07:29 PM

I hope they release that too. DCC made a 2 pack 4" scale injustice doomsday based on this crazy business model where they made the figure first and sold it afterwards :p

Dr Kain 08-15-2014 09:29 PM

Scott's explantion...

That...

that really doesn't make any sense. Why would they have wasted their time on mock up packaging and why would it have taken this long to show up on the internet?

Whether this is true or not, this is definitely shady.

Oh yeah, and how many times does he have to rub the failure of the sub in our faces?

hence the Bullshit meter. He has to rub it in the further the rift he builds between the DC Fans and himself the better it will be, for the DC Fans. I honestly do not get it either insult the customers and it will somehow end up working.

CMIII 08-16-2014 06:50 AM

This picture has entered Viral territory.. It's everywhere Facebook, Twitter, Fwoosh, Custom Justice, and Mattycollector forum as well as here. There is a Rumor (unsure how true) that there is going to be an announcemet around NYCC. While I know Mattel is not going to NYCC, it seems very odd that the "mock up" would appear one year after the club gets axed by mattel. It also seems rather strange this "Mock Up" would appear 10 days after Bound Doomsday Sold out (faster then the MOTU Comic Conn items) and 1 month removed from the DC/Mattel resign extension.

I have to say for some who repeatedly said "We don't work in Hypotheticals" making a Mock up for this is one hell of a big hypothetical. I don't think I ever heard a Fish story this big and I watched both "Submarine" and "Megladon" on shark week and those were as Real as Big Foot, Jersey Devil, or Nessie.

Yeah like others have mentioned this sounds like a BS answer. Not only would they not spend the money on a could have happened packaging that also appears to be a more production level Doomsday figure in the box verses the Prototype that was shown at the Cons.

CMIII 08-16-2014 11:41 AM

If you are all wondering when the time to hit the Enemy is, this is it. This is proof of what I have been saying for nearly a year now, we were lied to. I can't wait to see how this is handled. Here Scott here's the shovel start digging.

Also that tattered Superman cape is an Accessory why would that even be made if it's not going to happen...

CMIII 08-16-2014 05:19 PM

wow we are tame you guys really need to read this Unleashed Doomsday and the misleading practices of Mattel - Topic do read it quick it's likely by AM Monday it will be Pulled

Kernel 08-16-2014 06:42 PM

Interesting read... I never could bring myself to sub not knowing what all the figures were. I'm just hoping they release that unleashed doomsday figure, he looks sick. Maybe mattel was denying it all along to make sure the containment suit version sold. Let's make it happen mattel! Get him tooled up self appointed "toyguru".

I think it's now "Mud Guru" because officially his name is now just that, Mud. I am even trying to get the MOTU guys to join this fight and refuse to Sub just because he lied to Us. It's time to take this mans paycheck away... I have to say this might just back Mattel into a corner Monday might just be a very bad day for them...
