The hero builders are all the rage at my sons school. I see ALOT every morning when I drop him off. Also, almost everyday he comes home with different combinations that they all trade for. I am just saying, they seem to be a huge hit with the kids.

That said... I can't wait to start seeing MI at retail, if we ever see any around here. MU was almost non-existent, but here is hoping the MI line will be massively distributed.

But my main complaint is those crappy swap out hero builders or whatever there called, not because there peg warming like a son of a bitch, and not because there (IMO) total garbage, its the damn display block spinner thing in the isle that screams "Hulk smash" and "my spider sense is tingling" at you. obnoxious display for overly stocked line, Hasbro is sure dumping a crap ton of effort into sinking boat. I don't remember any MU or ML displays.

Yeah those things are pretty popular with kids from what I hear. You know, the primary target audience for that sort of thing.

I haven't seen MU for like half a year in any stores so I'm not surprised on that front.

The Smashers are all the rage at my house as well with my boys, they both picked one out on their own and now that is all they want. So no those things are not total waste of plastic. I think alot of adults just need to move on away from toy collecting or just buy premium stuff that is made for us.

But I considered Wasp to be a little more essential than all that personally. LOL.

I think a Monica Rambeau figure is well overdue

Don't get me wrong I think there a fine kids toy (if a bit pricey) but the full pegs tell me that the demand to supply ratio has definitely been overestimated. The same genius who bet the IM3 line on those wonderful assemblers must be the brainchild behind the oversaturated marketing of these wonders, And I don't know about you but when I was a kid I would have preferred a 3.75" version of my favorite character, not some 7" chimera of mix and match parts that look like the superhero squad all grown up... but my only real problem was the screaming motion sensor display. having "HULK SMASH" screamed at me over and over again makes for an unsettling shopping experience, I think I'm going to start throwing a T-shirt over those things when I see them.

Lol, that's about the only thing that has ever bothered me about SHM. My local Target actually disconnected the sensor after about a week, due to people complaining. It's especially annoying when you're trying to look at stuff on the opposite side of the aisle.

Doesn't seem like a sinking boat if the target audience is eating it up. Just saying. ;)

I'd have to disagree on the pricing. I think $10 each for the basic figures is pretty good for that size of a toy (compare it to Total Heroes). Plus the gimmick becomes more fun with every additional figure set purchased (something to keep the kids wanting more).

Besides, I'd much rather Hasbro keep the Assemblers-style gimmicks with the kiddie lines and leave MI alone. The only gimmicks that ML and MU/I need are articulation and [appropriate] accessories. Maybe a BAF, in the case of MLIS.

I thought she would be in wave 2 or 3 of the Avengers Infinite. Why? Seems like a pattern of releasing black characters every so many waves. I thought her or Misty Knight would be next but I forgot about Deathlok.

Knowing my luck they will make Black Panther's sister next.

Exodus 03-14-2014 08:47 AM

The smash heroes peg warm like crazy at most of my Targets...

trebleshot 03-14-2014 09:37 AM

They aren't pegwarming by me, but the pegs are relatively full most of the time. Which is most likely due to frequent product refreshes. Sales and those attached Hasbro coupons probably help, too.

I think that EVERY Marvel Universe figure should come with a five inch gun like the latest Cap movie line.... ;) just kidding

kylactus 03-14-2014 09:43 AM

lets hope the MI line gets this kind of treatment, I cant remember the last time I could pick up an entire wave in one shot at retail, and either way Hasbro bites it on this one, either there peg warming, showing that Hasbro picked a bad pony, or there restocking daily, showing that Hasbro has no real excuse for poor distribution. pick your excuse its all bad on the Has.

Extremely!
I almost walked right past them thinking they were shelf-warming SW Black Series figures. I didn't expect these for a while yet.

samsson37 03-14-2014 05:04 PM

Reny's, it is a Maine only store, but I had been to both Target and Walmart yesterday which are right next door give or take and neither had them yet.
And not sure if it's been brought up, but I think Wasp is 1 per case since there were two of all the others, except Iron Man (3) and Wasp (1).

salsa4datass 03-14-2014 06:01 PM

man you're so lucky! I haven't even seen a spot at any store over here in CT yet which has got me nervous. especially since every store has already done their resets...

Yeah, the other stores are about the same here. If I had to guess, they are just going to get popped on to the MU pegs if stores do get them.

Awesome find, I really dislike the cards on these new ones though. They did a great job on the legends but the smaller ones are ugh:P

fosterlager 03-14-2014 08:29 PM

Sweet score, can't wait for my own Reaper!

ukmu 03-15-2014 01:48 AM

And I see the retail price is $9.99 even at a small independent local chain store.

Don't worry, TRU will probably charge $20.

Which was interesting since the SW Black figures are a dollar or two more than Target/Walmart

ChuckSass 03-15-2014 10:01 AM

I want wasp, but at the same time I feel like I only want her because she looks cool
