Good idea. It's an honest way to get that shield without being a douche.

Haha... took me a while to figure that one out too buddy. From looking on Lego Forums I thought it meant My Own Creation which would be customising, but some of the ways it'd had been used on here lead me to suspect otherwise. There's a thread with the terminology in it I swear!

D00MTR0N 11-01-2011 01:29 PM

checked a walmart out I have not been to in awhile and they were stocked with...one wrecker and a skrull, pathetic!

I'm still glad we are getting it, but kinda annoyed.

Yup, the upper of the legs looks different at least. The head is hard to tell because of the paint. The other 6-pack colossus looks like the flair is the knee, and on sinister you can see that the flair is above the knee. Even if they are the same, I don't mind it at all since I skipped that 6 pack entirely.

I'm more agitated by the fact I have to get a gambit to get him, but oh well. To me that's more annoying than re-used body parts. It's annoying to be forced into multiples of characters because you need the other it comes with. Like the upcoming Moon Knight and Ant-Man.

FancyPants 11-01-2011 02:12 PM

I saw a decent picture of beta ray bill. Thought i'd share

Kayo83 11-01-2011 02:16 PM

I always liked that horse faced alien :)

And this is why we have so much mold reusage.

Instead of wasting the money for all new sculpts of characters already done, they put the money towards badass figures like Beta Ray Bill, and other Bucks that will see tons of usage like the new Hulk sculpt that can cover 3-4 characters.

I definitely can't complain. If the choice was a new Sinister and moon knight, or the badass Beast, Beta Ray Bill, Nova Prime, and Jubilee sculpts. I gotta side with the Beast, Nova Prime, BRB, and Jubilee.

im sure we will get a single carded sinister at some point when hasbro needs a wave filler...which i find even more annoying. buying a two pack for a figure then getting it a few months later single >=[

you really cant win either way unless you are prepared to wait and place bets on a release lol

I found a sight that has the first two waves with detailed pics of all of them. Punisher has two pistols, the sub machine gun and the removable knife. She hulk looks better than expected. I never cared for that version of beast so it's a pass for me

I'm almost certain she-hulk has a new mold. You can't just glue tits onto a male body or make her as small as the other girls

D00MTR0N 11-01-2011 02:27 PM

beta ray bill looks cool, though I have always found that horse skull strange for some reason.

The single carded release ends up with a different paint scheme though, so if you prefer the two pack colors the answer is simple... EBAY! Get it loose lol.

She-Hulk is a new mold. She's the new big-type female buck with upper arm swivel and leg swivel. I just hope they thought to do a second head for Red She-Hulk. That's the version I want. =D I'll probably buy green just to round out the collection of hulk characters, but Red She-Hulk is a must for Betty. The new big type female buck will be used for all the bigger women of marvel like Red She-Hulk, Sensational She-Hulk, Savage She-hulk, Titania, and whoever else fits that body type. That's the point behind some bucks. You make them new because they can be reused to save on costs in the future. Just like Beast will have parts used again for a Jim Lee Beast in the future, or wendigo, or sasquatch. It's how you balance costs across the board to get those badass borderline single use sculpts like Nova Prime.

Also, you might want to stop hotlinking those, and just upload them via the advanced post manage attachments option and then img tag the pics in your post. Don't want those sites getting mad about bandwidth theft. They're just the pics hasbro released of the slides from NYCC anyway.

Boba Fettuccini 11-01-2011 02:43 PM

Why do we even have IMG tags if we can't use them for external images... that's the whole point of those.

LapuLapu 11-01-2011 02:45 PM

Guys before we rave on all these con pics release , remember these are first release/prototype of the figs and it wont be the final/package product, knowing Hasbro there will be a slight/noticeable difference from prototype to release product. I didnt mean to be the killjoy but somebody gotta do the reality check.
Did my store rounds and nothing new , no new CP or the Psylocke wave ( I know its too early for that but just hoping I might stumble onto it ).

Hotlinking other sites images, and using them for say photobucket or your own facebook photos or image shack or your own blog, or the hundreds of other ways you can do it are entirely two different things.

Bandwidth theft of another site you don't run or own's images is bad. Using outlets you control or are available for you to use is good. Plus that site once they discover you did that can change the image to anything grotesque to pay you back for the bandwidth theft(all sorts of things you really never want to see or text images that call you out for image theft jackassery). So it's always better to keep the pics in a link medium you have control over, or that won't let that happen as that's the service they provide. Youtube is entirely different as like imageshack/photobucket/tinyimg/instagram/etc that's the service they provide.

Plus the img tags work to display the img in the post itself, whereas as an attachment alone you have to click the pics.

The only things that really ever change from the prototypes are maybe a few minor paint details and sometimes the face sculpts. Overall the prototype almost always is the same as the final. Some of these even are already figures and not prototypes. Some are hand painted prototypes that evoke more detail by the paint. Typically speaking though the mold itself is what you'll see on shelves, and any changes will come after the initial release like the X-Uniform wolverine that got a head swap running change. (the mold, not the paint scheme. The paint can vary from a wide array of factors like QC, Cost, etc.)

You can still post them, just re-upload the images to any site that does that for you, like photobucket, imageshack, or even your own toyark photoalbum or the manage attachments option in your post.

I'm just warning you what could happen if that site notices it, and decides to mess with you for the hotlinking. Besides it being part of toyark rules (which yes are important!), one of the reasons it is a rule is because it brings undue hate towards toyark from other sites from the users actions, and two, those pics could magically become tubgirl or goatse or worse. Even pics that make you seem like you're calling you're calling yourself a bunch of colorful names.
