Released at retail. . .that's a tough call on this one. There were a handful of auctions for these, in factory boxes, a few months ago, but there weren't a lot. I don't recall ever seeing it on the Toys R Us website (this 2pack, and a Blue Lantern Kyle Rayner/Yellow Lantern Hal Jordan 2pack were to be Toys R Us exclusives). Nor did I see them at my TRU store (which isn't saying much. . .my TRU hasn't had Dark Knight Rises Movie Masters in a month. . .not even a Batman!). The majority of these guys came from China sellers.

Coooool....is thatbsuperboy from legion 12pk? If it is he's cool looking. So jealous. I'd love to get that 12pk, even loose figs but I don't want to pay rediculous prices. Can you hear me Santa?!!!

Feast your eyes on:

Batman (Dark Knight Returns)
Batman (Planet X)
Wonder Woman (New 52)
Batman (Injustice: God's Amongst Us)

Make your pre-orders here: DC Unlimited & Batman Unlimited - 2013 Wave 02 at BigBadToyStore

Ok...are these kenner figs? I think they look pretty good. I'll pass on that crazy Batman one w/ the batmite. So this is series 2? How about pics of series 1? And will these be available @ targets or where? I didn't even know about this new Batman line?...sigh...always the last to know. Can anyone enlighten?

No, that's Superboy Prime from DC Universe Classics All-Stars. The line that was supposed to replace DC Universe Classics, then got scrambled and scrapped so all we get is this one wave. It's essentially (but not technically) DCUC wave 21. Four figures -- New 52 Batman, New 52 Superman, Superboy Prime, and Red Robin.

Kenner? You're joking right? Man you really are the last to know (Kenner's been out of business for a long time now. . .)

These are Mattel products. After the fumbled DC Universe All-Stars one wave line (see last post), then will come two new lines: DC Unlimited and Batman Unlimited. All these lines are just re-brandings of DC Universe Classics. Like, you know how there was three waves of Batman Legacy, but they were just like DCUC? Well, this is DCUC with a different name, different box, different focus.

DC Unlimited is supposed to be like DCUC but without the C-, D-, F-, Q-, and ZZZZ-list figures that don't sell well at retail. Wave one can be seen here.

Batman Unlimited is, again, like Batman Legacy in that it's all Batman-esque stuff.

Then the kicker is to wrap your head around how Batman is getting a line devoted wholly to himself, AND he gets a figure in wave 2 of the DC Unlimited line.

No, I meant the other superboy...

...I was testing you, toy addict...and you have passed, my son....I'm very proud of you. Only a true disciple would know the answer was mattel and not Kenner. ANY dummy would know that. Good job. Now I'm gonna get an asprine after reading your answer...thanks

TRU around here had/has tons of those. 35 bucks a pop or so, maybe more.

Sorry, your questions made it sound like you really were new to the DCUC game. If you know as much as this smart-alec reply makes it sound like you think you do, then you would have known all about these, or at least known how to look all this up on BBTS's website so you wouldn't have had to ask. Or how to use the Internet to find out.

Try to give a straight answer, get a crabby response. Give a sarcastic and insulting answer to match much of the rest of what goes on here, get a crabby response. Why do I bother?

Testing? Either you are really young or you like trolling people on here. I don't get it. I'm not calling you a troll.. just seems like that's all you do on the boards.

And what the fuck is a Asprine?

As someone from outside of the convo, after a month long sabatical (comp was down, had no net access), I seem to read this differently than you guys.
jmo's responce, quoted at the top, doesn't read to me as being trollish, crabby, or sarcastic.
It reads to me as trying to turn a minor embarrising mistake around and make a joke out of it.

So there won't be a wave 2 with Larfleeze? I could have sworn I saw pre orders for him recently.

Tiberius 08-22-2012 07:48 PM

That was awhile ago, all canceled, as Larfy is part of the 2013 sub =3.

hrothgars 08-28-2012 08:19 AM

Here is the latest Q&A session conducted by itsalltrue.net with Matty Collector...

DCClassics.Com Asks: On the Mattycollector forums, Matty Justice League said that Dark Knight Rises product will continue into 2013. Does that continuance currently include more Movie Masters?

The Dark Knight Rises line will continue as primarily a kid line at Toys R Us, but there will be a Movie Masters 3 pack with Batman from each of the three movies.

DCClassics.Com Asks: Will the 2013 Club Infinite Earths subscription still use the artwork of Mike Thompson to be consistent with the 2012 packaging?

Yes. That is the plan at this time, but anything can change.

DCClassics.Com Asks: The Red Robin & Superboy figures have come out quite a bit taller (and debatedly out of scale) than the figures as originally shown. For example, Superboy Prime is bigger than Superman. What happened there?

MattyJusticeLeague will look into this and see what he can find.

Thanks to itsalltrue.net!

lanternjv37 09-26-2012 07:57 AM

oh snap! maybe I can get my DK two face and maybe they'll come up with a sleeveless bane!!!!!

Prowl 2009 09-28-2012 06:08 AM

Here is the latest from The Fwoosh's last Q&A session with Matty Collector:

I know that villains and females are coming to the fore for requests in the club IE, what females do you feel are the most outstanding at this point? Do you have a list of 5-10 that you feel NEED to be done in order for the Universe to feel complete?

We do have a few females that come up more than others, Ice, Fire, Huntress, Liberty Bell and Granny Goodness all come up a lot.

Now that we are getting Uncle Sam and Doll Man(!) in Novemeber, I am really excited to get more FF characters like the Ray, Black Condor and Human Bomb! What about the Phantom Lady though? Do you think we stand a better chance of seeing the modern or classic take on her?

You tell us! Which would fans like to see!

Well, there you have it! Hopefully Huntress and Granny Goodness make their DCIE debut sometime in the near future. In regards to Matty's second answer, which Freedom Fighter would you guys like to see Mattel make next?

Thanks to The Fwoosh for sharing!

ToyAddict 09-28-2012 09:16 PM

Wow, kinda unusual for them to provide good answers. I'm a bit stunned. . .

That list of ladies is about right. The 5 mentioned there + Phantom Lady. And Vixen -- they forgot Vixen.

I'd be very surprised if we didn't see The Ray in CIE next year. Seems like they could take the standard buck and classic Starman's head, paint it yellow, and stick it in a box. Not much tooling to be done there.

Phantom Lady -- I vote something that resembles her as seen in Batman: The Brave and the Bold. I'm sure we'll end up with a version with as much cleavage as possible though. They seem to like to do that (Cheetah, classic Catwoman, Arkham Catwoman. . .) Modern Phantom Lady's outfit looks too much like Silk Spectre's.

Dr Kain 09-28-2012 10:26 PM

That's because all of the MOTUC answers were bs.

But then, I don't really consider those being good answers. They are only saying those characters because those are the ones fans have been wanting. It just means they are demanded but the 2% that actually care about DCU, which is not worth it to them.

ToyAddict 10-11-2012 04:48 AM

Well -- just went to mattycollector.com and looked at their schedule for NYCC. Nothing for DC. Lots of MOTUC, and a little Voltron, WWE, and Ghostbusters. Pitiful.

But in other news, if anyone wants them, the All-Stars wave (Red Robin, Superboy Prime, Batman and Superman new 52) will be on sale this month (along with Poison Ivy and Elasti-Girl).

Dr Kain 10-11-2012 07:54 AM

Mattel has a lot to show if they want to live up to this reveal:

https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...64296363_n.jpg

As for the All-Star sale, if they had announced it like a month ago, I might have been able to afford it. With them waiting this long, I have no money for it.

lanternjv37 10-11-2012 08:00 AM

whoaaaaaa is this a mattel figure? will it be in scale with the super legends scale?!

No, that is from the SH Figuarts line that Bluefin just revealed.

Here are two pics for the scale:
