Has anyone seen the nick comic book style ninja turtles around?
|
No, And i WANT them!
|
I'm keeping my eyes open JAH. Durham TRU didn't have any. They do however have that huge Star Wars aisle. I think that's the most dedicated retail space to the franchise since Episode I.
Well, thankfully I didn't have to wait long into October, my wave 4 Black Series 6" stuff processed through BBTS. |

BINGO!
Found the TMNT Comic Book style action figures! Picked up Raphael and Donatello at the Target on 55 and 540, found Michaelangelo and Leonardo at the Target in Apex. The paint isn't that great, but they still look pretty awesome. They are pretty easy to find, the first two were in the front, you just look for the black and white front. They were mixed up with the rest and I had to look through almost all the figs to find just the two at the 55/540 Target. The apex Target had a couple more. |
Congrats on the find!! I scored them today too (all 4) plus Tigerclaw. I'm very happy to have them!!

I got them at Target. The paint on mine seem pretty good, but I did notice the unpainted teeth. That's Playmates for you!!

Just made some pleasant discoveries at the Barnes & Noble in Cary today at lunch. They had two 3 3/4-inch Wave 3 Doctor Who figures that I did not know were going to be released...a Gold Supreme Dalek from a 1970s episode (so part of the Heritage line of "classic" Doctor Who figures) and also a variant Matt Smith with a green coat from Season 6. The woman at the checkout desk said she thought they were Barnes & Noble exclusives but that was the first I had heard about it. I bought one of each for myself and left several behind.
They also had a tall new pop-up display with a complete assortment of ReAction figures, including all the Universal Monsters and Horror figures, along with all the other ReAction lines. I have all of the ones I wanted on preorder at BBTS but they had some today that BBTS hasn't received yet. I bought an extra Sam from Trick 'r Treat to have loose! The Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, etc. all look fantastic, and the Universal monsters are excellent. Way better than the quality of the Firefly line and some of the others. Also, the Walmart in Holly Springs had 6" Black Series Stormtroopers last night if anyone is still looking for one (or more for troop building). |
I haven't posted finds in a while! Means I've been better about spending money, I guess.
Since I last spoke to y'all I have gotten DC Multiverse Two-Face and Arkham Knight Batman from Amazon, Scarecrow from Brier Creek Walmart, and Robin from the Mattel Shop with free shipping (promo code: SHIP4FREE). I also received Build Dai Oh, Crow, and General Schwartz from Hobby Link Japan. They're from the current Super Sentai show, ToQger. My 3 yr old is in love with the 'Train Megazord' from the show. Last, but not least I picked up the Mirage TMNT Leo and Mikey from Walmart in Mebane. I wasn't going to get them, but, again, my 3 yr old loves TMNT. Now I have to go back and get Donnie and Raph. I really like these figs more than I thought I would. That covers the past few weeks for me. I won't be getting anything else new until I'm paid on the 26th. I'm really eyeing that MonsterArts 2014 Godzilla. Hhmmm. |
They have a brand new shipment of Funko Game of Thrones Legacy Series 2 figures at the Barnes and Noble at Crabbe Tree Valley Mall. They had Arya Stark, Brienne of Tarth, Daenerys Targaryen, Jaime Lannister, Khal Drogo and Robb Stark.

I just got to hang out in Durham yesterday and didn't look at toys much because I was with my best friend, but did show him the Atomic Empire (and the chinese grocery store beside it) but nothing special was at AE.
Then today we were out and about after church, he wanted to go to Barnes and Nobles, at TTC, and I saw a BUNCH of those ReAction figures! I didn't buy any, even though the prices were decent. They had the Universal Monsters, the Goonies, etc. I just barely care about toys these days. the only non-essential I spent money on today was earrings and flashcards for school. I have noticed when we were at Target in Durham that there are STILL no Star Wars Rebels figures AT ALL! What is going on??? Are they selling out, or just not out??? They should be out by now. I would have jumped on them a month ago. |

Amazon says they now plan to ship at the end of November. Crazy!
Is it the Zeb/Stormtrooper pack showing up at TRU Express? I may have to hit the one in Mebane up, then. |

Well...I border-lined for a while...then I crossed the border. Everything I've been searching for started to become available!
First off, in hand is the Star Wars Rebels Jedi Reveal Pack from TRU. First time I've bought a Star Wars figure with 5 poa since, what, The Phantom Menace? Maybe Attack of the Clones was when they started to become a bit more articulated, but I cannot remember. I like them a lot. Great detail overcomes the lack of articulation and I really like the show. My little one is in love with them and the figs plus the Phantom have not been put down much today. Alrighty...what's on the way, you ask? Power Rangers Legacy Titanus! I've been a Power Rangers fan since I was under 10 and for the first time since then I will have all three zords from the '93 season. Ultrazord combo here I come. Also on the way is Neca 12" Godzilla, Legendary Zeo Gold Ranger, Legendary MMPR White Ranger, Legendary In Space Red Ranger, and Star Wars Black Series 6" Jedi Luke Skywalker. It's a hefty haul, especially with that Titanus, but I'll get to take a long rest from spending, soon. Just a few more figs left! How many times do we say that? |

Finally started watching Star Wars Rebels last night (we just moved and we have a serious backlog of shows to get caught up on). I'm totally hooked just after the first episode so now I'm leaning toward getting at least the three Class II vehicles that are out. If anyone sees the prototype TIE Fighter, the Phantom shuttle or the AT-DP locally, let me know! I'm also curious if anyone has them cheaper than Target (which I think was $24.99 each).

As for cheaper prices, Toys R Us in Durham was charging $22.99 last month when I got mine. Not a huge savings but better than Target. Oddly enough I only saw the Rebels vehicles stocked at the Durham location. Cary and Raleigh don't seem to have gotten them. |

I saw these at New Hope Wal-Mart https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3933/...1a4dfdbe_z.jpg#starwars #starwarstoys by SacredKnightOfTomorrow, on Flickr |
Just saw the Target Exclusives Marvel Legends 3 pack and Star Wars Shadow Squadron figures are showing up. Target has an endcap with them and lists the website limited time only toys . Although they haven't done well in the past, I would have liked to have seen a new Marvel Universe/Infinity 3 pack too.
