Popular speculation immediately leapt on this as a chance to get the RTS Optimus Prime repainted as RiD Scourge - we've no proof of that or that this is an RiD set unfortunately, as much as we'd all love that.

What we do have a hint at here is that Botcon 2012 will be one of the most epic stories yet, and will be drawing the toy choices for its boxed set from the most recent wave of Classics toys, namely Generations and Reveal the Shield.

What this does not tell us about Transformers 4:

That there is definitely going to be a Transformers 4.
That Michael Bay will be returning, either to direct or in some other role.


This does confirm though that things are moving behind the scenes, and there is an intention to do another live action Transformers movie.

lol JUST IN TIME FOR X-MAS! What a co-ink-e-dink! (Kudos Hasbro) Cant wait till he makes his way stateside. That is IF my lousy local TRU will have him. Not sure if the new paint scheme justifies that massive price point though.
