So are they coming out with a new Moonstone? I would be very pleased to see that. I sold my box set that included her, which I regret till this day. That box set was and still is a great box set, the females of that set, Moonstone and Santana, imo are the best figure of the set.

Yep, she has the new arms, a updated mask, and doesn’t have the pearly plastic like the old one but those are the only real differences

It will be a Walgreens exclusive.

AFU 11-03-2022 01:43 PM

She looks stunning. Will definitely get one, thank you for the pic.

Check this out fellas pretty cool.....

Hasbro sent me a message that my Premium expired. Like wow, not even an email giving advanced notice. Just, "Hey, your Premium is gone."

I don't see a point in renewing right now.

The notifications are driving me nuts and killing my budget. I have a good paying job, so I'm not falling behind, but I know not everyone is in that position. Things that were supposed to ship in March are coming tomorrow. I'm happy to have the figures, but it really screws up purchase planning.

Full agree there! I'd love a Destiny figure! Watch Hasbro stick her in a two pack with a slightly different Mystique.

It's a cool idea. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of this YouTuber. He came off as rather obnoxious with how much he disliked the HasLab. I know it wasn't for everyone, but after a while I got sick of hearing about how much he hated it. His custom looks good, I'll admit that.

In other news, I'm going to LegionsCon this weekend. I'm hoping to score a demon-y looking horse for the Marvel Legends Dreadknight.

If that 2 pack Mystique were to include the new head done fron the VHS line on top of giving her updated arms and legs, I'll have no problem with that.

She looks nice and I'll definitely pick her up, but I really wish it was any of Karla's other costumes.

Since the dissolution of the Ghost Rider Haslab, Hasbro has leapt into several seemingly reconciliatory actions, both revealing and bumping up new/pending retail releases. Between Pulse and BBTS I’ve received delivery of Disney+ Sharon Carter and She-Hulk. Shipment notifications for Disney+ He Who Remains/Kang, properly colored War Machine 2.0, retro Beast 2.5, and an early arrival notification for comic canon Gorr. This is in addition to Zaavi delivering my Sentry 2.0 and Mr. Negative/Inner Demon a week ago. It doesn’t make up for evaporation of the prospect of receiving Mephisto and Hellstrom, but I’m hoping they keep this energy. Pull the trigger on that Heralds 2 pack, Hasbro. And, while you’re at it, spec out that Stardust, Red-Shift, Air-Walker, Alpha Ray, and Tyrant…

Hasbro never passes up an opportunity for retread, so I’m not surprised we are getting the Thunderbolts costume again – fans need to pause and think about how important pinless redrafts are to them because it’s yet one more landscape rife with opportunity for abuse – Do you want a new character, or a 2.0 with the new pinless-standard? By way of alternate costumes, ‘Meteorite’ is what I’ve seen requested most frequently. Additionally, you'd think they’d jump on the prospect of Dark Avengers Ms Marvel with two noggins...differentiated just enough to inspire collectors to buy two; one for Karla, and one for OG Sharon.

...go figure.

What are the alternatives to releasing a Marvel Legends Mephisto now that the Engine of Vengeance Haslab failed? Just asking, cause collectors like myself still want "a" Marvel Legends Mephisto so badly, doesn't matter what version, me personally, I would go for a classic "pink face" version like the Marvel Select figure.

Didn't they say Mephisto could only be released in a Haslab?

The Mephisto in the failed haslab engine of vengeance was based on his modern appearance, nobody said that other version of Mephisto can't be made. I'd welcome the classic "pink face" version.

It's the only way to likely ever happen. But demand is there so I imagine he'll find his way into another HasLab someday as yet again a stretch goal.

Also in the count of "get me a Mephisto". Even if Diamond Select rereleases theirs I could go for that. At least it had a cool throne.

If some, it must be of high value and at a fair reasonable price as low as maybe I don't know $150:00, if not another haslab attempt, then perhaps in a Ghost Rider themed wave in the main line as a Build-A-Figure or as a deluxe figure in the main line or the Retro Ghost Rider line, after all, Ghost Rider is celebrating his 50th or 60th anniversary next year along with the X-Men, and since Goblin Queen is an X-Men based character, what better opportunity to release her than in the X-Men 60th anniversary line, and just to be fair, those three figure in the engine of vengeance haslab are just going to waste.

The current (and likely permanent) stance with Hasbro is that Mephisto can't be at retail, so it has to be something like Haslab because that's where they can sneak him in. They just need to figure out a Haslab that people will actually want to buy and toss him in there. Doesn't even have to be Ghost Rider themed necessarily, either, he can go with a more generic project if need be.

What kind of genric project? What ever gets us a Marvel Legends Mephisto, I'm all ears.

A "generic project" sums up the entire EOV campaign. It was a bunch of dark characters unrelated to Reyes that Hasbro didn't have the balls to release at retail. EOV failed because it was largely viewed as an overpriced version of a character that failed to excite most fans. That's obvious because it failed.

Don't make fans feel like they are being raped. Mephisto could easily be offered as a Pulse Exclusive. Hell, they could even try an entire "Midnight Sons" HasLab WAVE. 6-7 character wave. Stretch goals could include added accessories. $125-$150 price range.

Or better yet Hasbro could adopt a model like every other toy company nowadays and offer said wave as a timed exclusive. But they won't because that makes way too much sense and Hasbro likes to overthink everything.

That would be something to think about, however, I see Mephisto as more of a Ghost Rider villain than a Spider-Man villain, perhaps a multi-figure haslab with all Ghost Rider based characters, like Blackheart or an updated classic Vengeance, any character that crossed paths with Mephisto in the comics.

Starlord67 11-07-2022 06:21 PM

Why can't they do a Haslab with just those figures plus a few more? However I want Hellstrom in his Defenders costume. Add Devil Slayer and Black heart to the mix and boom!!
   Insta buy for me!

MeLikeJinx 11-07-2022 07:27 PM

Well I caved and bought the last MCU Ironheart at my Target... didn't want the movie to hit and then she suddenly becomes impossible to find at retail, but man it is scary buying windowless figs this late in the game. Luckily it was all good and man... MCU Ironheart is a great figure... great old school Robotech design... great alt actress headsculpt... great colors... the arms can't go all the way up because of the shoulder pads, but whatever. I feel like this Deluxe fig with all it's accessories is worth it more at 30 bucks then say the new comic Black Panther with only a cape at 25.
