After seeing I just hope we'll see some good selections for the Hasbro Pulse exclusive "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" figures, especially since Dan Yun confirmed that civilian characters will be among the characters for those two-packs. But considering the Wal-Mart exclusive Spider-Man has been impossible for me to find, I doubt I'll be able to find the upcoming Wal-Mart exclusive Kraven figure too. I just hope characters like Mary Jane Watson, Felicia Hardy, Alistair Smythe, Mysterio, Doc Ock, Shocker, Chameleon and Green Goblin all get animated series figures eventually. Of course, it'd be nice to have a new non-Comic Con exclusive animated Venom and a new Hobgoblin that actually looked like he did on the cartoon. |
Heads up to those that ordered them: Zavvi delivered my Ghost Rider, Spiral and Avalanche today.
|
Received my Heralds pack, once I tracked it down, because FedEx cannot read suite numbers. This is at least the third instance of their delivering my packages to a different suite in the shopping center with the UPS store where I rent a box.

Btw, looks like Amazon exclusive Venom set is finally up for order. If it ever was anything more than a placeholder listing up until now, at least now u can actually order it.

I didn't think I needed another Daredevil figure...but this one might be my favorite Legends figure of the year.
|
I want the Fallen One to go along with my Galactus, I have the BAF Terrax, so my dilemma is the other way around. FML!

At this rate, I will end up with most or all of the Heralds but no Galactus. I just could not justify the cost to myself. Galactus and the Heralds are pretty much the bottom end of my cosmic want list anyway. |
The Knull/Venom set is currently $58.09 on Amazon if anyone is interested.

Airwalker is at the end of my list of Heralds given that he’s been dead/inactive for a long time. That said, I’d welcome another Xandarian to pair with Firelord. Stardust, on the other hand, is one of my most wanted of the remaining heralds. I’d welcome a Stardust and Red Shift two pack. I also want a deluxe Tyrant, Alpha Ray, and Destroyer to complete my list of heralds. And a 'Samaritan' storyline Thanos. |
I have not actually opened the box yet so my impressions of Terrax are solely based upon photos. I have also long noticed the digital printing pixelation and it is discouraging to read that it is now noticable outside of the face print.
Samaritan Thanos would be excellent! |
Heads up, fellow collectors, Moonstone available online at Walgreens!
|
Wallgreens is so strange with their sales sometimes. I went yesterday and nabbed Jigsaw and Sentry for less than $8 a piece. Picked up two Binaries for less than $3 per back in September.
|
I got Baron Zeno for 6 in change, such as awesome figure imo, and I would have paid full price for him…But, I must say, since Black Friday or a little before, most retailers have been dropping the price on some Marvel Legends. So far I have gotten IM Modular and 70, Black Panther, Fantasy Spiderman, Herald Thor, and Baron Zemo all on some sort of sale. So I hope this trend continues till X-Mas. GameStop, Walmart, Target, Walgreens and Bestbuy, have been running sales in my area. Hopefully I run into that Jigsaw soon at Walgreens for 6 bucks, what a steal! It really feels good to save a few coin, especially during the holidays. Happy hunting, ladies and gents…

I never saw the new Sentry. I'd love to find him discounted.

My Macy's TRU section had the whole Controller wave on sale for $17 each... so that was nice not having to pay the new inflated price for US Agent and Speedball. Unfortunately no new Joes at Macy's TRU... I guess all those Classified Flints and Lady Jayes and unsold Snake Eyes merchandise burned them too bad last Christmas.
My best finds recently were local collectors either downsizing or getting out of the game completely... or they are trying to raise some capital for all the new stuff coming out. |
Animated Cyclops arrived today. Outside of the red of the visor being lopsided (or uneven might be the better term), he puts the old Lee Cyclops to same. The body mold is vastly superior and I no longer have to deal with those garbage straps. My only nitpick is the yellow is brighter than the rest of the team, but oh well. Hopefully they don't wait too long to do an updated Cockrum/Byrne Cyclops.

Pulse has shipped a few top notch figures the past couple of weeks but I'm going to go ahead and post my Top 10 of 2022.
Honorable Mentions: Marvel Select Immortal Hulk and Marvel Legends Renew Your Vows Spider-Man 10. Skrull Army Builder 9. Baron Zemo 8. Retro Carded Scorpion 7. 2 Pack Venom 6. MCU Peter Parker - The smiling head isn't great and I really wish he had a web shooting hand but otherwise, the figure turned out great. Tom's my favorite Spider-Man:D. 5. Daredevil (3 pack) - I love this figure. The articulation, sculpt, and accessories are all great. I also love that they used a dark red for the whole costume rather than using a different color for the gloves and boots. 4. Retro Carded Lizard - One of the more nerve inducing purchases this year. While I never had an issue with the BAF, this is more of what I think of for the Lizard. 3. Amazing Fantasy #15 Spider-Man - I honestly thought the Renew Your Vows Spider-Man would take this spot but the articulation gives the AF15 the edge. This is the closest any Spider-Man figure has come to a natural looking 4 point crouch. Best of all, he comes with the full assortment of hands that every Spider-Man should come with. I also really like the cel shaded, animated series variant as well as the Amazing Friends variant. 2. MCU She Hulk - I've been waiting for a great She Hulk for a long time and she's finally here. 1. X-Men: The Animated Series VHS Cyclops - I was honestly surprised by this figure. I don't watch reviews anymore but I knew this figure came on a new body. But I didn't expect the amount of changes and improvements that went into this figure. Outside of wanting an alternate head, this figure is perfect to me. BAF: I didn't complete a single BAF this year. A lot of that comes down to character choice, rising prices, and lackluster MCU content. 2023 Top 10 Wishlist 1. Dark Avengers Ms. Marvel 2. She Hulk in a Fantastic Four uniform 3. Spider-Man: The Animated Series Doc Ock 4. RYV teenage Annie Parker 5. Giant Man 6. MCU First Avenger Captain America update 7. Spider-Girl/Mayday Parker 8. Chris Claremont's X-Treme X-Men (Storm, Sage, Bishop, Thunderbird, Rogue, Gambit, Psylocke, and Wolverine) 9. Grant Morrison's New X-Men (Cyclops, Jean Grey (in trench coat), Emma Frost, Wolverine, Beast, Professor X) 10. Raimi movie Green Goblin |
If we're talking about Marvel Legends wish lists for 2023 and beyond, here is my Marvel Legends wish list. I have been very thorough in detail of what characters I would like in terms of costume history and media outside the comic books, like the cartoons, the video games (comic book based or movie tie-ins), and the movies, (MCU or otherwise).
On a side note, this is not a top 10 list.
