Actually, DC just renewed the license with Mattel.

Lawl you serious? What a load of crap. Guess DC is ok with mediocrity. Well it shows in their comics these days.

Anyone but Mattel is fine!

I disagree to a point that being the actual figures for the most have been great (though thats 4 Horsemen). Just the most recent are showing symptons of Lackluster work

and heads swapped in to the old DCUC also please??

Dr Kain 10-03-2014 03:35 PM

If you cut off the plug in the wings and find a way to attach it to your DCU BatBey, yes. However, no, without any modifications it can not be used.

Head swap can probably be done, but I'm too lazy to heat up the heads on the DCU ones to try.

Poison Shadow 10-04-2014 05:18 PM

Y'know, the more I read of Futures End, the more I want DCC to do a sub-line of toys for it. It could be a fairly varied wave, at least.

Batman Beyond, masked Superman, Cadmus operative Deathstroke, Grifter, Emiko Queen Green Arrow... and my most-wanted: Frankenstein.

Those would make for a good couple of waves, I think. Hell, throw in an older, bearded and ponytailed Oliver Queen Green Arrow (since he and Emiko apparently worked simultaneously with the GA title) and it would be amazing.

I'd rather DCC just start making classic figures of iconic and original costumes with their new style.

Tiberius 10-05-2014 01:49 AM

That would be nice, at least characters to fill in the gaps with DCUC

Feijai 10-05-2014 02:14 AM

I would love a Wildstorm sub-division of DCUC

Well, you might be getting your wish sooner rather than later. Supposedly the New 52 is being undone in some regard, or somehow the old DC universe is making an appearance again. I haven't read the comics where it happens yet, and I've avoided all spoilers on the subject until I do. I guarantee you DCC would jump at the chance to do classic designs again, though.

I felt these should have been done as a Splinter Sub with no quota or Min number theres a Handful of Jim Lee Characters from Image and Wildstorm that would be well worth having

That has been a rumor for 3 years now.

The problem is, rebooting the reboot is not going to fix bad writing.

CMIII 10-07-2014 08:00 PM

I agree the writing and Direction has been going down Hill. They played the departure of Geoff Johns from the Green Lantern Line as a good thing but really it destroyed the line, and at that time it was the only Comic book line with any life. As the Lantern Line was the at that time it was not a fresh reboot. All they did was have Hal Jordan lose the ring and it was given to Sinestro who systematically destroyed his own corps (not really) leaving Arkillo to run things. What I really feel showed how bad they killed that line was the Killing of all the Blue Lanterns except Saint Walker.

Poison Shadow 10-07-2014 08:41 PM

So my pre-order for the DCC New 52 Nightwing action figure got cancelled, supposedly due to DCC's cancellation of the toy itself. I'll be disappointed if that's the case. I don't like how bulky the Designer Series Nightwing is. Plus his second New 52 redesign was my favorite anyway.

Well, the guy couldn't stay on the book forever. I'm surprised any comic book writer would stick around with one set of characters for so long. People got so accustomed to his GL, I don't think any writer would have been easily accepted.

Goldengreg 10-08-2014 03:47 AM

I'm looking forward to the Sinestro book... might be interesting if they don't go too far in the edgy and pathos stuff, but make it a classy anti-hero like Black Adam, or on many mangas.

This. New 52 had a strong start. Their C list characters [Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Andrew Bennet in I, Vampire] are great. I think Animal Man got canceled and I know I, Vampire did for sure.

Basically all the Jim Lee Image characters who came with him to DC lost their lines within the first year (Voodoo, Stormwatch, Grifter) as well as Justice League International, Birds of Prey, and a few others. I will admit this Comic Book Age writing has left a lot to be desired in both DC and Marvel but the art Direction has been nothing short of Amazing...

DCC does have the right to every character I just think Mattel requested that DCC not make Doomsday until they completed the year

Nice photos! I'm looking forward to getting my AO Batman out of the anniversary multipack when it releases. That batsuit is such a great design, and the comic-style paintjob should make it stand out even more.

Ra's is great too, I like how they did the tattoos on his arms. That's a great detail, sets him apart from other versions.

I'm a little surprised that either Mattel or DCC didn't re-release their AO Batman toys in a white/charcoal color scheme to resemble the Gothtopia suit from the comics. Whether it was intended or not, the two are very similar.

I say on TOYNEWSI bandai booth, I saw movie Superman(Figuarts) and Batman (Figuarts?). They looked fantastic. I hope I did not imagine it as I am very tired from work.

Those are not movie versions, they are the Injustice ones.
