I believe he's mostly a reuse of Caliban.

Question to all about the new Hawkeye and Skycycle? Is that Hawkeye just a repaint on the same body as the previous Hawkeye, and just a redone head sculpt? Just wondering.

Okay, then that is bad since Caliban is not gummy.

I believe Hawkeye is on a pinless body now. I assume it's a new body, but I could be wrong.

Did everyone see the classic Drax and Moondragon 2 pack? I can't wait! I think it's a more modern looking Moondragon too, so she's not as scantily clad.

Yeah. We get an excellently sculpted Drax on a pinned body. That's really disappointing.

Yes, they look stupendous! Pins aren’t a dealbreaker for me and this is exactly what I want from these 2packs.

Maxam and Pip next!

hasbroherofan 05-10-2023 11:49 AM

Stoked for that two pack. Hopefully they do Phyla-Vell some time!

Do Phyla and ‘Legacy’ version of Genis-Vell?

lordbest 05-10-2023 11:58 AM

Definitely need a Phyla-Vell now

I like the way you think.

Yep, I saw the 2 pack, and preordered it in a blink of an eye…Just awesome! Favorite 2 pack thus far!

AFU 05-12-2023 02:34 PM

Hello, fellow collector. Something has been on my mind lately about the recent 2 packs. I like the Thor/Destroyer, and the Spider-Woman/Super Skrull 2 packs. But, really like the Destroyer and the Super Skrull figures from these 2 packs. Just feel like I price is kind of to high for the 2 packs because we are not getting an new molds or a major difference in costumes for the Thor and Spider-Woman figures.

Note: Was all excited about the Hawkeye and Sky-Cycle offering, but after looking closely at the Hawkeye, it seems that he is on the same body mold and just different paint apps. Just feel cheated, and these days I do not like giving my money away so easily with Hasbro.

The Sky Cycle Hawkeye isn’t on the same body as any other previously released Hawkeye figure. The differences, that I can see, are that it’s pinless and has butterfly shoulders. It does share the same head, boot cuffs and chainmail accoutrements from both the All father wave Hawkeye and the retro version.

Thanks for info, and I think you are right, now I feel more confident about the purchase.

I'm not suggesting that it's worth the money, the last Legendary Rider retaied for $35 and came with a lot more.

I remember them all being $40, not that a $5 difference is that much in that range. The last one I got was Cosmic Ghost Rider three years ago for $40 and I don't remember who came out after him. Was Punisher the last one they did?

Hulkwummy 05-13-2023 03:19 PM

Hasbro needs do more Legendary Riders, like Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch) or Classic Vengeance.

That sounds about right. The larger point is that I'm not on the pro-buy side as we got more for less with the previous Legendary Riders.

Edit: I'm not sure which was the last as they all seemed to drop together. Only Cosmic GR and Squirrel Girl were labeled Legendary Riders, the Punisher was a 'deluxe', I believe...

I am with you on that. The price point for that Hawkeye set did make my eye brows raise a bit.

Found Yondu on a Target run yesterday. So, I thought I'd celebrate my first in-store purchase in more than year with a little photo tribute.

hasbroherofan 05-14-2023 11:51 AM

Great lighting setup.

Thanks.
Another unplanned Target stop today. Most of the Ch'od wave was on the shelf, and a crap ton of 'em. No Chamber or Kid Omega, but about 5-6 each of the rest. Also, I could tell by the state of some boxes that a couple of Emma's had already been pilfered. Fucking swapper scum.

Did they take the Emma figure or the Ch'od piece?

I honestly didn't investigate that deep. A couple of them had side flaps that looked to have been opened and reinserted, so I only assumed shenanigans. I just made sure none of the ones I grabbed had any tape that looked to have been peeled back or cut.

Was pleasantly surprised to see the new(ish) Ant-Man at Target this morning on a milk run. Was even more surprised to see that they actually included a spacer to help keep the legs from bowing inside the box...so his pinned legs were actually pretty straight. As cool as it is to bag on Hasbro...gotta give them some credit here...they heard the complaints and responded. Hopefully they keep doing this in the future with pinned figures cause it made a difference for sure here.
