Strahovski as Moonstone would be superb.

Caliban head piece came in the mail earlier today.
Glad I finally have the head piece for Caliban since most of the time the head pice can get a bit pricey if still boxed with Beast |

I finally got around to picking up the vol 3 Star-Lord. Pretty much right out of the box I gave him the masked head and blasters from my vol 2 figure from the Ego pack. This is the best Chris Pratt head we've gotten but I just really wanted to have the masked head on this uniform to get it even closer to the comic look. I popped the vol 3 head on the the Love and Thunder body and it actually quite redeems that figure for me. The arms and most of the legs on this release are just repainted carry-over from the vol 2 figure and mine came with his right boot-shin turned around, it was an easy correction but still struck me as odd. There's some smudge to his red paint but nothing I consider atrocious and overall he looks good. |

Id like to see Carol Danvers more in the way she was in the Avengers EMH cartoon. |
While I’ve haven’t read much of the character post 2008/12ish outside of Ewing’s Ultimates, Carol, IMO, has always read as a little wooden and aloof/prickly making Larson’s performance feel accurate. It makes sense given her background in the military and the dynamics involved in a woman rising through the ranks within a traditionally (and profoundly) patriarchal system. She would have experienced a great deal of second guessing and hostility attaining her rank and, as a result, she would brook no foolishness. I think Brie is playing the role correctly. She doesn't need to smile more.

I suppose a big part of it is that we don't get thought bubbles or internal monologues in the MCU. So if you aren't familiar with the source material, the characterization comes off one dimensional if the actor isn't up to nuisance. While Brie Larson may be portraying female military personnel accurately, she isn't necessarily doing Carol Danvers justice

You need to read the original good stuff of Uncanny X-Men from the 1980s where Carol Danvers was more of an ally to help out the X-Men at the time. Plus she was more known as Binary.
Dont read the 2008-2012 bullcrap Quote:

While I like what they did with her as Binary, to me, Carol only exists so Rogue can happen.

As a big comic Carol fan I think Larson does a great job personally, within the constraints of the MCU.

I don't think Larsen portrays a great member of military personnel. Because she seems more PETULANT. Like a spoiled misunderstood kid. |
I think you're projecting a lot onto her performance that is not there.

This goes back to why I thought Katheryn Winnick would have been a better Carol Danvers. Could have something to be with playing a Viking Queen for several years. |
Oh nice, a Brie Larson sucks thread. Haven't seen one of those on the internet in the last 5 years.
