I wish some of the shots demonstrated the fig’s ability to bend (and rotate) at the waist as I have concerns about the rigidity of the suspenders and the resulting functionality of the ab-crunch. Even in the Marvel Zombies shot, the stooped posture is more about the positioning of the legs rather than full flexion. Sadly, I’m on the fence with this Haslab. However, IMO, the price is right and there are no characters being held hostage.
We’ll see, but I think this may end up being another failure to launch. |

It would have been better getting a Giant-Man the size of the Super Adaptoid. That would have been the right size. Hopefully, we can still get that, but good luck to those who want to get this funded!

I'm on the fence... |
Giant-Man looks great, and at a reasonable price this time. But my big hope is that, like Firelord and that Heralds two-pack being released to coincide with Galactus, this means a first appearance Wasp is coming. It'd be great to complete the original Kirby-era Avengers (you know damn well that Avengers anniversary Iron Man is getting a gold repaint).

Credit where it's due. It's a beautifully executed figure. I love the swappable full face plates inserted beneath the mask (how'll that mask hold up over time?). Clear plastic eyes with interior paint is absolutely fantastic. I could make those face plates look near photo realistic. The shadowing and highlight deco all over is wonderful. The full wrap harness/suspender thing is super clever. He'll be the best factory painted ML figure ever. A very straight forward offering with some exciting innovation. I hope all you guys that want one are able to get it. |

I was confident that the sculpt would look good, which it does, they definitely didn’t disappoint..However, it might feel “boring” because, well, almost all his costumes are somewhat tepid in design. I guess, if anything, I would’ve preferred a costume that matched the ones we have for PYM: https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...080&fit=bounds https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...080&fit=bounds (...or the blue and yellow version) However, the costume that I like the most wasn’t even one worn by Pym: https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...080&fit=bounds https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...080&fit=bounds ...but had they made this costume, it technically wouldn’t be a Pym/Giant-Man fig, it would be a Hawkeye/Goliath fig. |

Has he ever used any giant guns/rocket launchers or anything of that sort? I may be alone but, think some "Giant Man Gadgets" would have been a great include. Can you imagine that dude kneeling on a shelf with a massive plasma bolt launcher? |

I hope this Giant Man figure get funded. I don't think I can handle another failure.

Star Wars…man we always come together to back the vintage collection. Masters of the universe, we always make it happen. Marvel….the posts I’m reading on some of the Facebook sites right now….they just seem to want to shoot at the mirror. |

I'm kind of wondering if Giant Man will get funded as well. There's a couple of things going for it, but there's also a couple things going against it.
Going for it: price point wise, it's not that expensive compared to other Haslabs. We've also not gotten a large scale comic Giant Man figure in well over a decade. It also looks nice. Going against it: This is personal opinion, but the tier unlocks are not that exciting at all. There will probably be plenty of people who are mostly MCU collectors that won't have an interest in this since they have an MCU Giant Man. The biggest thing going against it to me though? While it's been over a decade, there was a Giant Man released in the Marvel Universe scale. Two different versions if I recall, I have the red one. It's not going to be two feet tall like this is but it's probably close to a foot tall. That's plenty enough for me. I won't be crowdfunding one. Sadly I even had to cancel my crowdfunding order for the Star Wars Ghost ship. Unexpected costs that are absolutely a priority, and while I can justify a $25-$30 figure here or there like one or two a month, I cannot justify these larger scale purchases at this point. |

I'm not trying to throw shade at people who genuinely don't like it but it seems like a lot of people are nitpicking it. |

Well, I'm in. I didn't start collecting Legends until 2016, so I missed out on the Giant-Man BAF. Given how pricey that thing is on the secondary market, I've been hoping Hasbro would deliver something like this. He is certainly taller than what I'd prefer, but otherwise I think he looks stellar.
I'll admit to being a little concerned about him toppling without additional support, especially with any dynamic posing. He looked kinda top-heavy/wobbly when they were moving him around. Hopefully that's just due to it being a protoytpe. |
IMO Giant-man looks great, but as-is I'm not feeling any necessity for him.
I also had no real need for the over-sized past Haslabs of the Sentinel & Galactus figures when they were announced, but their add-ons and unlockable tiers definitely sweetened the incentive to dive-in and I did just that. Not feeling the same with this one. |
I decided to back Giant-Man. While I'd be happier if he was 12" tall, he looks amazing and the price is better than previous HasLabs. Plus, I doubt we'll see another Giant-Man any time soon and I have a bit of regret from skipping the Sentinel and Galactus.

He's at 4,134 of 10k with 42 days to go. Looks like you guys will be getting Giant Man. Man the eyes are fantastic. I've looked at those stills quite a bit. It's a fantastic innovation and really cool to see Legends catching on (Hot Toys has done it for years). When I was a kid my dad had a side hustle painting all the street facing large front glass window signs of businesses in the downtown area of the small town in which I grew up. You know the kind...large windows on street facing businesses. Old School downtown setting. He would paint certain details on the outside of the glass and others on the inside. It created this great multi-layered effect. He also is a fantastic wood carver and painter. My family has an inordinate amount of artists. Sorry! Not much to do with this HasLab LOL...It just triggered that memory. |
