I don't know which Aquaman I like better.

Il Cattivo 03-13-2020 04:16 PM

I only see one aquaman.

love that manta. aquaboy is pretty cool too.

slim19722 03-13-2020 07:30 PM

I picked up my 2 Walmart orders. Got 2 Superman/Darkseid packs on the 'styles may vary' order(1 got returned) and the other order was the Aquaman/Black Manta pack.

Depending on your view of the Titans franchise, including NTT and shows;

Dr. Light, super powerful energy villainheld back by his own insecurities.

Thunder and Lightning, two elemental brothers.

Mad Mod (big fan of his snarky Arcade revamp for the cartoon).

Brushogon, Japaenese painter corrupted by demonic ink (essentially).

Brother Blood, cult leader turned political manipulator.

Kole, young diamond based hero.

Corrupted Raven (white outfit).

Wildebeest, possessed hero.

Solice, young and brightly powered flying hero.

Tula/Aquagirl, Atlantean mage.

Tempest, the original Aqualad turned warrior mage.

Some easy favorites!!

Picked up the AM/BM two pack.

Captain Morgan 03-14-2020 07:01 AM

I really like the 2 packs. The Darkseid and Black Manta are awesome. The Aquaman 2 pack comes with the best accessories.

For sure! I dig the entire line. Action figures in the "classic" sense have been becoming more "adult collectibles" than toys for a long while now, but this line strikes a nice balance between the two. I mean, they're still toys in the classic 70s-80s vein. They're not overpriced, hyper-fiddly articulated statues kids break without even trying, but they're also not toys in the modern sense, dumbed-down for a younger age-range and exaggerated in a "Playskool" way. They have a nice aesthetic that appeals to my nostalgia. I get a strong Super Powers/Super Friends vibe from them.

Oh, also, is the Batmobile from this line based on something in the comics or a cartoon, or is it something Spin Masters thought up?

Super Joe 03-14-2020 02:13 PM

great looking list

The figures do strive to fit adult collectors' high standards. It positively has room for more improvement (with smaller heads / smaller shoulders, and more detailed sculpts). I also like the kiddie Mystery accessories. Improvement for those can be making those more attachable. Aquaman's trident can be more attachable, to future armor accessories' backside. Or making future Bat chest armors in the front able to attach with the batarangs. What about the rest of you? What other improvements can make this really good toyline a greater one?

Crazy great work! How did you do that Ledger joker?

Super Joe 03-15-2020 02:55 AM

DC helped made possible the Masters of the Universe?!?

Sithlord1963 03-15-2020 07:01 AM

Nayt Navarre,

Spartan Industries Ledger head cast, Harry Potter Argus Filch torso and coat, random GI Joe legs/hands, Rise of a Cobra Cobra Commander legs/feet, bit of sculpting and paint.

Ok so this Spin Master line has been out for almost 2 months and out of all of the stores and times I went to those stores the only released figure I have yet to see on the pegs is the Flash. Anyone else have this issue?

Same, But I have dcih flash so I'm good for now. I think it's kind of strange though. Is flash that popular?

Il Cattivo 03-15-2020 11:06 PM

I think him and shazam are the popular ones. at least in my neck of the woods.

tlasjr 03-15-2020 11:47 PM

I had trouble finding the classic flash. Bought the metallic version. Ended up finding classic and it looks 100% better.
If you want the chase version send me your address. I'll ship it nice and slow so it takes more than 3 days to arrive.

Same for me. I've seen every figure in store (including single-pack Croc Master) except either version of Flash. I haven't been lookimg too hard though, I nabbed both versions online from Target & Walmart.

TV show, I guess. Flash stuff just seems to sell well nowadays. Makes me wonder if Spin Masters (& Hiya too) should've released Green Arrow, Black Lightning & Super Girl early on too.
