I don't care for the select thread, this thread has been the go to thread for all Marvel 6' figures.

A lot of folks post MS items here because the other threads are long dead or simply don't get the traffic. In the HB case, it's pretty relevant, especially to those of us on the fence with him, since he does fit in 6 inch scale rather nicely.

This happens on a lot of the other boards as well. Some folks put up video games and movies in the "Look what I got section" when those aren't considered toys, but who cares? In the end, it's just folks sharing their good fortune with one another. Same thing here. When something might seem a tad bit out of place, just nod your head and move on. It's not hurting anyone, so why aim so hard to correct?

Captain Nash 06-24-2015 04:22 PM

I for one thank you for posting the pictures of the MS HB, regardless of whatever thread it's in. It's helping me stick with the BAF - (as much as my wallet will hate me) because the level of detail is just so much more.

That's my point, why fix it if it ain't broken...thank you folks!

donmeca2020 06-24-2015 05:46 PM

only reason i mentioned anything, because i made a thread specifically for the Marvel Select toy line. it's had some action the past day or so. it definitely not up to 300 plus pages like the legend thread...

Like i said at the end of my post W/E meaning whatever no stress.

back on topic the MS hulkbuster looks nothing like the movie version but more like the comic version from a few years back. im more partial to the legends hulkbuster due to the movie look and it's size. i read somewhere it's supposed to be a 9 inch tall figure?

Updated the size chart with Kraven's correct size. :)

Loved the Kraven review cannot wait.

Not to drag out the discussion/debate, but I feel like the unwritten acceptable standard for this thread is that the following are okay:
- things that scale well with Marvel Legends (be it Select figures, MU figures, vehicles, playsets, etc)
- pics of Legends customs that address characters or costumes that haven't seen an official release yet
- modifications that address issues or flaws generally acknowledged by the community
- Legends spottings at retail or other release info that could help the community out

Basically, if it brings something new and/or helpful to the Legends collecting community, run with it.

Very nice, I've said it again, just waiting for TRU.com to put these up for pre order :P

Captain Nash 06-25-2015 09:19 AM

I hope BBTS ships that wave to me (and everyone else) soon. On the other hand, I'm (im)patiently waiting for the Fedex to arrive to drop off my Ant-Man wave. Supposed to be delivered today...so excited that Grim Reaper is showing up! (already had a friend laugh at me for saying that.)

i am VERY impressed with the hulkbuster :D he seems well made and heavy duty. i also like the fact he is very compareable in size or a inch or so bigger then a few of the marvel selects i own.

this guy is well worth it !!!

Impressive...most impressive....

Thanks for posting those HB pics, Don! How is the elbow articulation on him? It seems like crappy range of motion in the elbows has been a recurring issue with the big BAF's lately (Odin and Mandroid come to mind).

He looks excellent! I was considering selling him as I don't care for yet another Iron Man figure, but this guy looks like he's worth keeping for sure.

seemed alright to me, both arms rotated nicely, the legs feel nice and heavy, the head just popped on. it looks like it can be easily taken off. it also is able to move in just about all directions.

Got the whole Hulkbuster wave at a local comic store today! I was overcharged a bit on the Dr. Strange, but it was only $5 more than retail. Everyone else was about the price you'd expect in stores. I can't wait to crack them open!

I'm nitpicking, but the lack of open hands, grabbing hands, and various attachments (weapons, launchers, etc...) kinda kills the interest in this figure for me. Nice to see that Hasbro is finally putting out BAFs that compete with ToyBiz's in terms of size, but the wave itself character wise is really lackluster and doesn't justify me grabbing them all just to get the HB. Neat figure though, and I'm glad you like him so much, considering how much excitement you had for him. =)

I'm really glad that Dr. Strange is the only guy I'm hunting for outta the wave.

Agreed. I am really on the fence with this wave. The Hulkbuster looks cool but I am leaning more toward the Select version. Strange is also the only figure I really want from the set. I would not mind having Vision, Now Iron Man or War Machine but I could live without them.

Hulkbuster Wave

So have these started showing up in normal stores yet? TRU, Target, etc.?

to be honest, i'm not too crazy about the whole wave neither... i of course wanted this movie version hulkbuster, i was also interesting in the marvel now iron man and war machine and that's about it. when i purchased the hobgoblin wave 2 months or so back i literally keep all of them only 2 of them i didn't like.

i might end up selling some of these.

Trivial Psychic 06-25-2015 09:20 PM

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this...but several auctions for loose figures from the upcoming SDCC Dr. Strange set are starting to pop up from our friends in Singapore...

Marvel Legends Magik Loose Figure from Dr Strange Set 2015 SDCC EX | eBay

Marvel Legends Dormammu Loose Figure from Dr Strange Set 2015 SDCC EX | eBay

I just figured I'd mention them...since this might be a good opportunity to get your hands on some of these before the SDCC markup madness begins in a few weeks. This seller also has a few of these figs for buy it now as well...although the prices are a bit high. Still, better than paying 200+ for a set if you only want one or the other...
