Ha ha.

I was going to say Voldemort and Twilek, but I guess you're trying to stay "in universe".

That works too.

Hulkwummy 09-29-2023 01:32 PM

Are they gonna reveal new Marvel Legends figures at Toyfare 2023 this weekend?

Toy Fare is this weekend? I have not heard anyone talk about it.

Question? Has anyone found any Target stores in Florida that has discounted Marvel Legends? I would like to know because I would really like to get another Black Widow, and also get the new Banner/Hulk on discount.

Note. Does anyone think they will add a last tier to the Giant-Man Haslab towards the end of the campaign?

I can't help you on FL Targets, but I think there will be a last tier. They usually add something to sweeten the pot and provide incentive for fence sitters.

Black Arbor 09-29-2023 07:23 PM

It really stinks that the best Tobey Spidey they could put on display still has messed up weblines, doesn't give me much confidence the ones we receive will be much better.

Hulkwummy 09-30-2023 03:40 PM

I thought they're gonna reveal some new Marvel Legends figure this weekend.

nope from Pixel Dan's walkthrough video. Hasbro had a smaller offsite booth with nothing new. They just did pulsecon so makes sense. New stuff will probably be shown and NYCC

Safari jacket Simon certainly wasn't my first choice for a classic release of the character but it's still one of his notable looks and for the most part Hasbro did a nice job. The head came out really well but then I still really don't care for the way the elbow hinges from the Dormammu/Red Skull arms look. I know they don't have the same bending range but I feel the arms like classic Dr Strange has just look so much better and could even still fit the golden cuffs over the wrists.
The X-Men '97 titan series Sentinel is pretty nice for what it is. The details are all on the lighter side and articulation is designedly simple but standing somewhere from 14 to 15" tall it definitely works standing behind other figures as a looming presence. Plus, it wasn't even $25 after sales tax.

Agreed on most of what you've shared. I love having this version, as well as the Red Skull, and FA Dormammu from the BotBG wave. But the elbow design is jarring and I'm hoping for a redesign in the near future. Separately, the fists are too small, but, as mentioned, I still dig this Simon and am happy they made it.

I think I want one more version of Wonder Man

Regardless 10-02-2023 03:29 PM

I too enjoy the most recent version of Wonder Man. I remember being optimistic when Rektangular's news identified this figure-to-be as being the 'safari jacket' model. I remember grumbling over the idea of having to get him to get the BAF once pictures of the figure came out, but my opinion definitely changed for the better.

In September of 2022, Rektangular dropped all that 2023 Marvel Legends information. I was hoping similar news would drop before September 2023 was over. I know there's been news on 2024 models via Rektangular, and I am thankful for what's come out so far.

Since the list for 2024 seems incomplete, here are my wishes for the year ahead: Destiny (Krakoan take on the classic costume), a two pack of Doug and Warlock (rerelease/improved version of the BAF where arms aren't wonky), a brown black Wolverine (as seen in Pryde of the X-Men) as one of the many Wolverines to be sold next year), a Krakoan version of Sunfire, , and may classic armor Psylocke be the potential Psylocke spoiled by Rektangular. May Crystal and many female characters on the Power Princess/She Hulk scale also be made:)

They're going to do a Triton and Gorgon 2 pack and Crystal and Outback Psylocke are going to join Feral, X-Factor Wolfsbane, Rachel Summers, Marrina and green suit Namorita on the list of female figures we need to complete teams

100%!! That is a fantastic and doable list for 2024:)

Thanks for this information. I don’t utilize many of the toy-media sources that most collectors frequent; my outlets for knowledge regarding reveals and releases are here and The Fwoosh. What you’ve described is exactly what I’ve wanted to hear/read..

For heads that are interested, the Mindless Ones are in pre-shipment at BBTS...and, apparently, actually shipping from Amazon.

HIP! HIP!

That's the version I want as well. Some might look at it and think we received this version, but the Abomination wave figure is the Uncanny Avengers look. I'd like a West Coast Avengers Simon.

I'm with you fellas.

Also, preorders for the Void wave are now open.

I prefer that Wonder Man look too!

I ordered a Crystar for a friend of mine. He's hoping that if Crystar sells well, maybe that would lead to a ROM Marvel Legends getting made. I'd dig ROM.
I also ordered Vision. I didn't think I was going to need him on my shelf. I like the retro card version. But if nothing else, I'll be able to compare. Maybe a reviewer will get a copy early and compare the two.

TheBlueMarvel 10-03-2023 11:18 AM

Hasbro's making ROM whether Crystar sells, or not. It's an asset of theirs.

Now we're talkiing! lol

Captain Nash 10-03-2023 11:47 AM

Justice and the Void Tentacles preordered! February is really not that far away, and it's entirely possible it'll come before end of the year.

I just can't bring myself to buy any of the rest of these. I talk myself into getting whole X-Men waves when I initially want just a figure or two, but aside from the Controller wave I've pretty much held true to my initial thoughts the last few years.
