Revealed just hours ago at NYCC 2012, two new entries into the 2013 DCIE sub line, Captain Marvel Jr. & Red Hood, based off the characters appearance in Grant Morrison's run on Batman & Robin!

Two awesome pieces I can't wait to get my hands on!

GOOD GOD NOOOOOOO!! I HATE HATE HATE Frank Quitely, THAT version of Red Hood MOST OF ALL. What the hell are they thinking??? If they were not doing the "Under The Red Hood" style, they should be at least be doing the New 52 Red Hood. Why do this outfit he wore for only a short time and the fact that the outfit LOOKS STUPID AS HELL. Red Hood is one of my favorie characters and the Morrison/Quitely run made me stop getting Batman books until the 52 reboot.

It was Jason Todd in that outfit, it was during the Batman and Robin comic, that was done buy the horriffic team of Morrison/ Quitely ( I hate Frank Quitely) where he went bact to his original hair color ( they said Todd was a red head???? and dyed his hair black to be like Grayson = Fail) and got a stupid girl sidekick that was mentally challenged and they tried to be villians. STUPID STUPID writing, I expected better from Grant Morrison.

That Red Hood is an abomination. Of all the versions they go with the Dickbats & Damian one?!?!? What the hell were they thinking? Are we going to get the Flamingo next?

theyre so dumb. they shouldve used their old molds to put together a red hood like mr terrific and use the starman head and paint it red.

instead theyre wasting money on a new mold on a future peg warmer. lol my frustration shows in 3 back to back to back posts hahaha

I don't. Morrison is great when he's writing for really obscure stuff, or his own things. But he is the absolute worst writer you could ever choose to put on a major title like X-Men or Batman. He loves to make changes for the sake of making changes, and I honestly believe he does it to piss fans off.
It's one thing to rock the boat or shake things up, it's another to make changes with no reason behind it (Like Red Hood, turning Beast into a cat, or giving Emma stupid "diamond" powers). He has no respect for established continuity.

That said, on topic... Red Hood/Jason Todd isn't a character I have any attachment to. I don't love or hate him, and so this toy may as well not exist for me. But maybe they chose this costume to get the character out to us, while saving the costume everyone wants for a possible retail release? I dunno... that's the only thing I can think of that makes logical sense. Though it seems to me the subscription will reach more hardcore fans than retail would.
That Captain Marvel Jr though... it's about time we get the Marvel family completed!

Well on the bright side, we get a Huntress, and a few other female characters.

Judging by what figures they are next to in the display Hood and Marv jr. are for Club Infinite Earths, so only people like me who signed up for the club expecting collector friendly characters have to suffer with the worst one announced so far. I have been pretty happy with all of who they are making for the club up till this.

WHAT THE **** ARE THOSE?! I did not sub up for those pieces of crap, especially that Red Hood thing. Joker and Jason NEVER dressed like that. And what the hell do I need with Captain Marvel Lite? What happened to the sub being the IMPOSSIBLE TO RETAIL characters like Huntres, Vixen, Bat Lash, El Diablo, Talia, Ras, Scarface, etc? I DO NOT WANT THOSE!!!

I don't know, maybe if they fixed red hood and made him Joker version, I might be interested.

The only reason I can stomach this Red Hood is because I already have a custom of his Outlaws incarnation. The sub version needs red guns, however.

i would've taken the last costume before the DCnU look with the amalgam of his costumes and true he def needs the red guns!!!

Yeah, the Marvel family can't be called by their codenames outside of comics. And I think animation they can, but it's growing increasingly shakey.
Captain Marvel has to be called Shazam, Mary Marvel gets called Mary Batson, and I suppose now Cap Jr has to be called Freddie Freeman.
Black Adam remains uneffected since "Marvel" isn't in his name.

I still find that to be down right stupid. If his name allowed to be that in the comics, there is no reason why it cannot be that way on the toys.

In that case, Marvel should not be allowed to use any names that have a D or a C in their names.
