I’m very sad to hear the The Marvels had the worst box office opening for a MCU movie. I am a Marvel fan for life, and will always watch movies made by Marvel whether good or bad. And, I’m in agreement with you about Carol, she doesn’t give off the vibe that she is acting, her acting just seems like she is there for a paycheck, and to me, she is the worst female actress in the MCU. But, enough about the bad stuff with MCU, now the good, to me anyway. My buddy told me that Robert is coming back as Iron-Man! That to me is really great news.

Note: Not only do I love Marvel, I love DC, been a big fan since reading comics as a youngster. The Blue Beetle was a pretty good movie, in my opinion, better than I thought it would be, and surpassed my expectations.

Dr Kain 11-15-2023 04:51 PM

Until WB officially fires Ezra Miller and Amber Heard, I can't support any DC movie they do. As such, I haven't seen BB. I am a huge DC comic fan, but their movies have ranged from average to subpar. Even their best ones like Wonder Woman and The Suicide Squad were below even Marvel's average movies.

As for the low box office for The Marvels, it's funny how all of these sites are hating on it when most movies would kill to have a $47million opening weekend. Apparently though, because it's a Marvel film, it has double standards.

EvilMonkeyPope 11-15-2023 06:27 PM

Now that the Mattie Franklin version of Spider-Girl will be in Madame Web, can she get a Marvel Legends?
I'd also like a Mayday Parker as Earth-X Venom.

What sets them apart from the rest of the Hollywood degenerates?

Captain Nash 11-16-2023 08:03 AM

So now the next Captain America movie is being delayed yet again, this time for reshoots, after some type of advance screening resulted in a negative opinion of what was screened. This could change again but they've now moved it to Feb. 2025.

I may be wrong but I think Deadpool 3 is the only MCU/MCU related movie now coming out next year?

I just wonder how this will affect the line. Hopefully more comic releases though I'm sure Hasbro will also have a backlog of MCU figures to fill in empty slots for characters in existing movies. Just wondering how far that will go.

There's been some good films since Endgame but it just feels like the MCU is currently beginning to struggle. Some due to events out of their control like the pandemic and its still ongoing fallout, the film industry strikes, accusations and trial involved Majors...and superhero fatigue now undeniably setting in at this point.

Given how much the line was revived by MCU related releases, so that they could continue with Comic releases, it should be interesting times. The fall out of the struggles the MCU is having will surely have some kind of effect on the Legends line.

ThorOdinson123 11-16-2023 09:26 AM

Hoping Amazon has some good Marvel Legends Black Friday Deals. Some of their deals start tomorrow Id love to buy the Quantimania versions of Ant-Man and Wasp only if they are like 10-15 bucks a figure.

It's the only one I'm interested in. Marvel proper seems to have forgotten how to create movies with compelling stories that I actually care about. It's been nothing but misstep after misstep since Endgame. Hopefully after The Marvels dumpster-fire-triggering-a-train-derailment-crash-into-a-populated-city-and-the-nuclear-power-plant-it-houses, they'll give us some first stringers to actually get excited about. Though, I'm not confident they can create movies that are actually anymore with their current "creative" team. The most exciting part of Marvels was the post credit scene with Beast. I have no interest in watching the X-Men become a parody ladened farce (looking at you receded hairline MODAK).

But the absolute WORST possible thing they could do is bring back the old Avengers gang. That's beyond desperate. But at this point, that's exactly what they are.

I check bbts everyday at noon and 1 . And today finally something I wanted. I preordered 6 of these. Freaking finally.

ThorOdinson123 11-16-2023 12:27 PM

NWH Sandman's release got bumped up to Tomorrow on Amazon so don't be surprised if the other NWH figures get it too

Comedian 11-16-2023 12:43 PM

Yikes. Plus the Infinity Saga set of 8 is going to hit any day. Rough time of year.

Comedian 11-16-2023 04:05 PM

And they hit. This pile of loot is getting absurd now.

Captain Nash 11-16-2023 05:32 PM

Things shipping early, getting notice on all of my star wars purchases (the few they are) that weren't due until January. This makes me happy. Hopefully the Void wave will ship early too, just getting Justice but that would actually complete a big Avengers roster idea I've had for a bit.

Well let's see.

Amber Heard lies about Johnny Depp, he is fired from a movie without proof.

Hartley Sawyer is fired from The Flash because of tweets he made years BEFORE he was even hired for the show.

WB then hires James Gunn for their DC movies, despite him being fired from Disney for the same reason they fired Sawyer from Flash.

Johnny Depp proves Amber Heard lied about him abusing her, but WB says nothing and she was never recast from Aquaman 2 nor fired.

Ezra Miller assaults a woman in a bar, choke slamming her, harasses a couple in Hawaii and gets arrested for it TWICE, kidnaps a Native American girl, sends a woman and children to a gun infested ranch, and robs some stores, but WB ignores EVERYTHING.

Cap 4 was moved due to the strikes, not becasue of some test screening for a movie that is not even remotely finished.

I mean sure, if you ignore Far From Home, and No Way Home, and Guardians 3, aaaaaaaaaaand Shang-Chi, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Black Panther 2. OH, and Werewolf by Night. Not to mention WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Ms Marvel, and She-Hulk.

lordbest 11-16-2023 08:30 PM

Depp was found guilty twice in the UK and the US court still found Depps lawyer defamed her when he said her allegations were false. It's a lot more complicated than "he proved she lied". Not trying to start a fight or anything, I don't give a **** about Heard as a person or actor. I've only seen her in Aquaman and I thought that whole film including her was OK at best. But I have a lawyer friend and heard a lot about how the media and social media were misrepresenting and misunderstanding the facts and findings.

Completely agree about Miller though.

I'm disappointed about The Marvels. Carol, Monica and Kamala are some of my favourite heroes and I wanted the film to do well. Not seen it yet.

TheBlueMarvel 11-16-2023 10:22 PM

Yeah, Depp needs help. At the very least, with substance abuse issues, but there seem to be a few other equally significant problems and disorders that he could work on.

Sorry, but the UK courts stop being relevant in 1776 when we whooped their ass. They had no business interferring with an American citizen's affairs.

BTW, not saying Depp was truly innocent, but Heard is a bitch who just needs to shut the fuck up and go away. However, the point was WB's hypocrisy.

Kamala and Monica shine, especially Kamala, who carries most of the film. The only reason I give any shits about Carol is to become Rogue's bitch.

Granted, I did like the stuff they did with Carol in the Brood saga when she turned into Binary, but they barely did anything with her in the long run.

lordbest 11-17-2023 12:48 AM

They are relevant when an American chooses to sue a UK newspaper under UK law, which is why it is relevant here.

I didnt have much interest in seeing The Marvels but saw it and enjoyed it. The villian was the weakest part of the movie for me. How this is getting more hate than Quantumania is beyond me.

Quantumania starred a white male, this stars a trio of females.

Well alright. You answered my question. Those are solid personal reasons for refusing to give your business to a company.

ThorOdinson123 11-17-2023 08:38 AM

A lot of deals for Legends. All the prime day deals for certain figs are back. A bunch of MCU figs are $17.49 so check out Amazon

TheBlueMarvel 11-17-2023 11:32 AM

You know what deal I want? How about full price for some more gawtdamn Skrull soldiers and Hellfire goons????

Hasbro?

StuartGreen2019 11-17-2023 03:36 PM

Since November isn't going to have a lot of reveals and December will have a few, I'm curious as to when everyone's Top 10 wish-lists officially happen. It gets harder and harder every year to narrow it down to just 10 and the Top 10 is usually dominated by mutants, from X-Men and X-Force to the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and everything in between.

Since we're seeing delays for all of the Marvel Studios films, I'm curious as to what Hasbro will do for substitute waves. I'm still hoping for a Retro Secret Wars wave and more of the Avengers anniversary wave (fingers crossed for a Jack Kirby-esque Hulk in purple trunks and a new comic Loki with a cape), though I'd personally love to see something done for Daredevil too. It'd be really, REALLY nice if we could get a classic red suit Daredevil figure that's sold separately. We also need a new Marvel Legends wave for The Incredible Hulk. It's absurd how most of the Hulk's friends and foes haven't been made into figures yet over the past few years.

On the subject of Marvel Cinematic Universe figures, there are plenty of characters from films and Disney Plus series that still need figures and it'd be nice to see more X-Men movie figures, especially of the main cast from 'X2', Quicksilver from 'Days of Future Past' and X-23 from 'Logan'. I could see 'Deadpool 3' getting more than one wave if it's the only M.C.U. film that year. I'm also shocked, no pun intended, that the Shocker from 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' hasn't been made yet. We'll see what Hasbro ends up doing over the next year onwards as a result of the delays from the writers and actors strikes.

I hope you all are having a great day and have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, True Believers.
