So apparently there was a livestream today...

Not feeling most of the reveals from it, honestly.

First of, the 2 pack with Sabertooth is disappointing because Sabertooth still has pinned joints. It looks like they just blew up the version we already have. Plus, I'm happy with the Marauders version. However, I might pick this up if I see if on clearance for half price.

I like Lilandra, but I find it odd to have a Brood version of Wolverine when we don't have any Broods to go with him.

I have no idea what version of Psylocke that is that they are giving us, but that is not at all what I wanted, so that is a definite pass. I wouldn't even pay a third of the price for this pack.

No interest in the Logan/Hulk 2 pack. Looks so odd to me to see Hulk in a tuxedo.

Angel looks great, though I would have rather had the blue costumed version. Still, he looks incredible. Didn't see the details of what he is exclusive to.

Was that it beyond the X-Men 97 stuff?

It's possible that the pieces we saw plugs into a larger effect like a Phoenix and not the figure itself

I was thinking the same. Similar to the old Toy Biz effect piece for the Human Torch, it looked like part of a larger flame effect. Maybe even a stand made of flame. I immediately thought - what characters would need such a large effect? Nova was in the Haslab and it doesn't look like Cannonball's blasting...

I guess we'll know soon enough.

Probably because that was already a pack they did for the 80th anniversary subline and they didn't want to just straight repeat it. Ditto on wanting a new brown costume figure.

The next X-Men 97 wave doesn't look bad but I'm probably going to skip Magneto and X-Cutioner. I'm disappointed that Jean has a solid torso but it's still the best 90's Jean they've made. Not really interested in Red Widow, Falcon Cap, or Hydra Cap. Angel doesn't look bad but I don't really need him.

As for the Wolverine 2 packs, I like the ones with Sabretooth and Joe Fix-It. The one with Lilandra is ok. It'd be nice to have her to go with The Professor but I'm not a Sh'iar fan in general. The Brood Wolverine is ok but not something I need or even really want. However, I'm disappointed with the Psylocke 2 pack. I assumed that they would either re-do the Jim Lee costume since their first attempt wasn't very good. Or they would give Psylocke one of her costumes from the 80s, before her body swap with Kwannon. Her Lady Mandarin costume looks nice, especially the heads, but it's not Psylocke to me. I also never cared for Wolverine in the plain, black onesie.

I'm sure that at some point, we'll get a new brown costume Wolverine on a pinless body. I'm a bit surprised that none of the 2 packs had one. But maybe we'll get a couple more 50th Anniversary Wolverine figures and it'll be one of them.

I'd wager I have a pretty good guess who that accessory tease is for and I hope I'm right.

“Otherworldly” could be in reference to Rachel coming from the “Days of Future Past” alternate universe.

Wolverine sets are underwhelming, I’m disappointed with Lady Mandarin, that’s pretty much the only Psylocke look I *didn’t* want. Pinless Madripoor Wolverine is an odd choice. The only set I’m down for is Lilandra & Brood Wolverine, and even then, I’ll wait for a discount. I just don’t need more Logans.

Angel looks freaking fantastic, love that one of the promo shots is a recreation of his pose from the OHTTMU.

The “X-Men ‘97” wave is terrific, I’m in for everyone besides X-Cutioner & maybe Cyclops. Like others have said, I always wanted that look for Magneto & took for granted we’d never get it.

My ID demands every one of those revealed 2 packs. My ego and superego are being relegated to the back seat while my childish needs drive this car...into a financial ditch.

Anyone find the Lilandra 2 pack or the new 97 stuff on Amazon yet for preorder?

The Lilandra 2 pack is Fan Channel only so no Amazon. The X-Men 97 wave will go up for preorder at a later date.

I thought that lately Amazon has been getting an amount of the Fan Channel stuff too. The Mindless One wave, Outback Rogue, and the Drax/Moondragon pack are all available there (not just third party listings but shipped and sold by Amazon). I was under the impression that at this point Fan Channel just meant not at Walmart or Target.

I was under that impression too. But during the livestream, the Sabretooth 2 pack said Fan Channel and Amazon while the Lilandra 2 pack only said Fan Channel.

Well then I guess I don't need Lilandra that badly until the two pack is on sale next Xmas.

I'm thinking about putting together an Outback Psylocke, you know so 30 seconds after I finish her Hasbro will announce an official release. Goblin Queen's torso with Lilandra's arms and legs, what head and cape would y'all use?

I'd also buy a pinless brown costume Wolverine.

It was disappointing to me too that this was a Brood Wolverine. My beloved Juggernaut wave brown Wolverine had taken a shelf dive at some point and my dog chewed it up horribly about a month ago. I could've really used that upgrade.

After reading all of the comments about brown-and-tan Wolverine since my last post, I am keeping my fingers crossed the reason they didn't include him in the Wolverine two-packs is that Hasbro could include him if they make a Retro "Secret Wars" toyline for its 40th anniversary year in 2024. It'd be a nice Easter egg if they include an alternate pair of hands with black claws like the old Mattel figure variant had.

I wonder if that's also how we get updated versions of the Wrecking Crew and Titania
