Kraven update. Hercules body, head and gear from the original release Kraven

TheBlueMarvel 01-11-2024 04:50 PM

The original Legend we received was supposed to be Alexei, correct? I like your idea because I think Alexei/Alyosha was supposed to be taller than Sergei..

I think the Rhino wave Kraven was Seregei, as I recall he was a running change with Chameleon and the write up on the back mentioned them being 1/2 brothers

Yes, Kraven and Chameleon are half-brothers.

Ok, thanks. All this time I was under the impression that the Rhino Kraven was meant to be Alexei because of the costume, hairstyle, and goatee...

Dan Yun made a guest appearance on Boog's Figgy Awards podcast 2 weeks ago with the following teases:

"In 2024 we will actually have a couple of mega deluxe multi packs."

"In 2024 we're actually gonna be leaning into three anniversary programs."

We already know about Wolverine and Hasbro did say we'd see more releases from "Spider-Man: The Animated Series", so that could be another anniversary since 2024 is the series' 30th anniversary. I'm keeping my fingers crossed the third could be "Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars" for the event's 40th anniversary, but since titles like Daredevil, the Punisher and Generation X all have anniversaries this year too, it could be anyone.

As for the "mega deluxe multi packs", your guesses are as good as, and most likely better than, mine.

97 head on the punk Storm body, did a wash and dry brush over the hair.

Also anyone not feeling old? 2025 is the 25th anniversary of X-Men Evolution

Very interesting! So a "mega deluxe multi pack"...not 2 figures, not one deluxe, and not a 5 or 6 figure box set like we've been getting. At least, that's my interpretation.

So it sounds like there will probably be a deluxe figure in there, and more than one standard figure - so like the Nimrod/Psylocke/Fantomex set. Unless it's two deluxe figures and one or two regular figures.

Three things immediately come to mind, and this is entirely my thoughts being biased to what I want.

OG Thunderbolts: Atlas as the deluxe figure, Meteorite, and either or both of Jolt and Techno.

Inhumans: Lockjaw as the deluxe, Crystal, Maximus, and possibly either Triton or Gorgon.

(What I really hope it is) - Age of Apocalypse revisiting. Aside from the now nearly 15 year old Nemesis, we have none of the Horsemen. Though standard Sinister is pretty close.

So...2 sets with 2 deluxe figures that are both Horsemen, and hopefully one additional figure as well. In the fall it will have been 30 years since "Legion Quest" which was the ramp up to AOA, so it's not that far off to build up to it, and hopefully one final wave of figures next year.

Instead, it'll probably be a 60's Avengers 6 pack, with Hank Pym as Goliath (blue and yellow outfit) as the deluxe and several teammates from the time he wore that. Which will be great for some..just not my thing. Although...we haven't gotten a Hasbro version of Hank in that outfit so it's not impossible either.

deecee4 01-12-2024 06:03 PM

Yeah, I saw that too. Im definitely putting my money on something Secret Wars-related.

If I'm not mistaken, "Mega Deluxe" refers to figures that fall into the $50-$60 range like MODOK, Mojo, and the WW2 Hydra Stomper. Figures that have a little more plastic than the $40 deluxe figures as well as new tooling. I feel like Lockjaw would fit into this category but I'm not sure who else would.

I think Secret Wars will be one of the anniversary programs. We had the Doom/Monica Rambeau 2 pack this past summer from Secret Wars. Plus, the series has a pretty diverse array of heroes and villains. Hasbro could include their "best sellers" while also giving fans their requested characters.

I don't think Daredevil, Punisher or Generation X will get anniversary programs. As brands, I don't think any of them are big enough to carry a specialty line with multiple releases at a higher price point. However, I could definitely see a Daredevil and Punisher 2 pack. Maybe base it on "Welcome back, Frank".

I think the more likely third anniversary program will be Spider-Man: The Animated Series. Give it a final set of retail releases and then move on from the show. Some possibilities are Spider-Man on the RYV body, Venom w/o cel-shading, Mysterio, Chameleon, Hobgoblin, Vulture, Madame Web, and the Man-Spider.

I finally got around to fixing the shoulders on the MCU Iron Man Mark 3. I heated the torso up and popped the arms out. Then, I used a 3/16 drill bit to widen the peg holes. I can now rotate the arms at the shoulders without heating them up first or feeling like I'm about to break the arms off.

Even though the shoulders didn't seem as bad on the Mark 2, I did the same thing to it as well.

I found Mon Mothma on clearance and decided to use her as a stand in for Moira Brandon in my West Coast Avengers display, since I doubt Hasbro will ever do an official release of Moira Brandon because honestly she'd probably sell about as well as Mon Mothma

Looks like Rektangular had some more leaks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HIUuzAovT0

The Thunderbolt wave -

Red hulk (Which I think will be a deluxe because we NEVER know what a BAF is until it's revealed. If he has the Red Hulk listed that mean it's a separate thing)

Some stuff about the leak before.

Comic Ikaris

Iron Man Heroes Reborn

Ka-Zar

Count Nafaria

Wolfsbane

Captain America Brave new World *all guesses*

Spider-verse figures

The SHIELD 3-pack

Thunderbolt wave

Deadpool 3 movie wave

Deadpool Colossus deluxe

Wolverine an Spider-man F4 set

Some new stuff

Strange Tales wave?

MCU deluxe

Vemon + Carnage set

Venon Anniversary

Venompool deluxe set

Superior Spider-man!!!!

3 deluxe Captain America sets

Another wolverine anniversary set.

Iron Fist (possible classic) and another character

Odin (MCU or comic is unknown)

Hulkbuster

Ghost Rider (Unknown which one of them)

Man-Thing (MCU or comic is unknown)

Skaar

Prowler on retro card

Xavier on retro card

Quicksilver on retro

Carnage on retro

Warbird on retro card

Crossbone and Constrictor 2-pack

4-pack of Dr. Doom, Iron Patriot, Taskmaster and Loki

Destiny and Mystique

TheBlueMarvel 01-14-2024 09:29 AM

Nefaria....Ikaris...

This list works for me on the strength of those two alone.

Dr Kain 01-14-2024 09:39 AM

A little mad if that list is true because it means we still aren't getting X-Force, Hellfire Club, Excalibur,a nd Giant Sized X-Men completed. I guess I should just be happy the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants will be done.

That retro card Prof X is definitively going to be the issue 275 version.

Harbinger 01-14-2024 10:27 AM

Only things peeking my interest is the possible classic danny rand ironfist and ghost rider, and only if its dan ketch ghost rider.

Captain Nash 01-14-2024 10:56 AM

Glad to see Nefaria is still on the leaks list. I won't change my avatar just yet....

That and the Destiny/Mystique pack are my main interests there. And Wolfsbane if it's the X-Factor Wolfbane (It had better be, but after the Lady Mandarin Psylocke reveal, I'm not going to assume it is.)

The Destiny/Mystique pack is really a great release if it is true. As the last non-cartoon/non movie Mystique we got was the Walgreens exclusive one, which I'm remembering was a real pain in the ass to find.

Of course, possibly depends on what's in the packs. It's probably too much to ask for Exodus to be in a Wolverine pack, but you never know)

Trivial Psychic 01-14-2024 11:55 AM

Symbiotes are my thing... so seeing the Venom stuff on there does have my interest. I'm thinking the Venompool is likely the old BAF being re-released with either another figure or with new accessories... I'm guessing the latter there.

The Venom/Carnage set is an interesting one. I cant imagine it being yet another comic set though. We never got a movie Carnage however so I can see them doing that along with a slightly updated Movie Venom....perhaps a pinless one with a Tom Hardy head.

Venom Anniversary...that has to be a single release or another retool of the recent Omega Red Venom. That set was hard to get for a while and I can't see that being anything else. I personally would like to see a classic, first issue, Todd McFarlane based version though, with the proportions to match that appearance. I know it's been the trend to have Venom appear to be Hulk-like, I've personally never cared for all that bloat. The Hyperion mold always worked size wise for me... some tweaks to that are all it needs.

Retro Card Carnage...I'm not sure if I need yet another Cletus... but if they stick it on this card here... I'm in!

And in the video he says he doesn't have any confirmation of anything leaked by Displaying Model Behavior.

Could the Wasp they revealed during the Giant-Man campaign be in the Strange Tales wave? Wasp's first appearance was in Tales to Astonish, but those Golden/Silver age titles were pretty interchangeable

Yeah, that Psylocke shit was such a god damn copout. WHo the hell at Hasbro thought making a version that most have never even heard of before was a far better choice than the various ones they could have done from the Claremont run? Man, that dude needs to be fired.

Lady Mandarin is the version that makes the most sense in a Wolverine anniversary program, that being said there were probably better options for that 2 pack in general.

Right now their best bet would be to do a Psylocke/Colossus 2 pack to finish off the Outback team
