Attuma BAF (comic of course), just my opinion here but he honestly makes the most sense of any of the "bigger body villains out there.
1. Blackheart (throw back to Toybiz's wave)
2. Count Nefaria
3. Maximus The Mad - we've gotten a few inhumans but not the villainous one.
4. Taskmaster (classic look, for those who missed the figure a few years ago)
5. Female figure: pick of Morgan Le Fay/Titania/Harpy/classic Moonstone
6. Big name villain: Not sure who but someone at A level, B level at worst
7. Either another big name villain or some really obscure oddity. Or an X-Man villain (EXODUS plz), if they want to include X-Men representation.

As much as I really want Graviton as well as Count Nefaria I feel they look a bit similar and likely would come in separate waves. Nefaria gets the edge since he's been rumored.

I don't think the line has anything to worry about. If they were pushing for a yearly subscription or depending on every wave being crowd funded, maybe then the fate of the line would be in question. The only ones who really need to worry here are the tatterdemalions that want to wait for clearance and the discount outlets

I could see Nefaria and possibly Moonstone in the Meteorite armor since both were featured in a New Mutants limited series Last year

I find it hilarious how they went back to plastic packaging with windows and now no one is carrying the in stores, defying the point.

However, given Target and Walmart barely carried anything lately (my Walmart still has Darwin and Siryn), it's not like they were selling them anyway.

On the other hand, they're saving me money. THere's several figures I wouldn't have bought had they not been on clearance, and that I won't buy unless they are heavily discounted, so by not giving me that option, my money remains mine. Only thing that sucks is I won't have nay Marvel Legends to donate for Toys for Tots at the end of the year.

Veronica Mars 02-21-2024 06:05 PM

Actually the plastic free packaging hurt sales because the product didn't read as action figure to the causal consumer. Studies have shown that closed packaging like last year's windowless boxes read as board games or puzzles to the average toy buyer, and since those are usually stocked in a different aisle in most stores, windowless packaged figures got completely overlooked.

Target and Walmart not stocking more than a case or two and not restocking is due to low sales. Waiting for clearance tells big boxes retail that these products aren't worth it to buy, and Hasbro doesn't care because they got paid before anything hit the pegs. That's why it seems likes the big box stores are only stocking media supported products, so they aren't left holding the bag when nothing sells

Regardless 02-21-2024 06:22 PM

I looooooooooove Zabu and Ka-Zar. I think like some of the others that the hint for an upcoming figure is regarding Shanna. So yay there! (Oooooh, a Shanna/Sauron BAF rerelease 2 pack?)

I am also really excited for Feral. I can’t wait for her! Jk, har har- yay though for Wolfsbane that looks like it will coordinate with the Strong Guy figure:). The Eternal guy looks cool, and I am thankful for Marvel Legends to create a comic version Eternal considering the movie Eternals are still on sale. The rest of the wave I will get for Zabu only. Since I have no expectation for the other figures, I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

If we get a retro card X-Men wave, I bet that will have the rumored green costumed Quicksilver and the rumored Xavier figure. May it have Feral please? The ML line has the parts to make her:) I hope that if there are more X-Men characters released in 2024 (the rumored Mystique/Destiny two pack, the retro wave) that we get them sooner than later in the year.

Captain Nash 02-21-2024 06:38 PM

oh yeah, for sure, Feral will be coming. Might be next year, but sometime within the next 24 months I can almost guarantee it.

She could work for a retro figure, since there would be extremely little new tooling going for her now.

Side thought:

I'm actually surprised we didn't get any Deadpool 3/Deadpool and Wolverine reveals, since that's the only Marvel coming this year and the trailer has been shown and it comes out in just a little over 4 months. Unless...the figures weren't quite ready yet? I can't recall the original release dates since it's bounced around so much, so I don't know if this is a situation where the product was planned for a bit later and that's why there's nothing for it now.

They mentioned that there would be DP 3 figures,I believe mentioned they weren't revealed because the movie release schedule

Ah, okay, thanks for that. I'm at a point this week I haven't had a chance to actually sit down and watch, just scrolling through pictures. Good to know, I mean, I figured there would be a wave but you never know. There weren't waves for the Fox X-men movies, while the movie's a Marvel Studios/MCU movie, it's still kind of a weird lovechild of Marvel and Fox.

sh002 02-21-2024 08:38 PM

If anyone needs Black Winter (Thor), Comic Ikaris, or Red Widow without the BAF pieces then let me know. I won't be needing those figures and will sell them for cheap.

It would probably be weird to have the figures show up in stores next month instead of right as the movie has been hitting theaters like every other release. Well no, scratch that, the Ant-Man line was like 6 months AFTER the movie came out.

WallySparks 02-22-2024 09:33 AM

Still waiting for Hasbro to make other Age of Apocalypse figures of Abyss, Gambit, Bishop and AOA Havok.

also anyone remember the old Toybiz Age of Apocalypse figures where Cyclops had a brain in a jar accessory? Who's brain was that in the original Age of Apocalypse run or was it just a weird brain in a jar made for the action figures?

EvilMonkeyPope 02-22-2024 12:01 PM

Mr. Sinister had a security network made of brains in jars.

5 more to complete the Winter Guard. Can we also get back to the Serpent Society

More Winter Guard and Serpent Society- Yes Please

I hope Red Widow will soon be modified for Nemesis from Alpha Flight.

Yes, yes, and yes please! I don’t want 15 different Iron Man models (yet. And nothing wrong if anyone does). My want is of supergroups with many different members. Though I appreciate the thought of the comic version of the Eternals being among my collection of ML supergroups someday, please first give me more members to team rosters that have already begun. Alpha Flight, Winter Guard, X-Force, and The Brotherhood

WallySparks 02-22-2024 06:52 PM

I'll pass on both Black Winter and Winter Guard and Red Widow. i know nothing about them as to what comics theyre from etc.

Red Widow's backstory sounds the same as the female Taskmaster from the Black Widow movie

Abyss, first and foremost for me. We’ve not gotten any of the horsemen aside from “Nemesis” that’s 15 years old now and needs a redo. It’s kind of odd we didn’t get any with the two waves. A Storm, Quicksilver, Nightcrawler, and Mystique would be very welcome too. Hell i even want Dazzler and Damask.

Also I think the brain in the jar is supposed to be th Shadow King if i remember correctly.

Shadow King came with the Toybiz AOA Apocalypse figure as an accessory.

Hulkwummy 02-23-2024 06:24 PM

AOA Abyss, Mikhail, and Holocaust for me. Through in Mister Sinister to complete the AOA Horsemen roster.

WallySparks 02-23-2024 07:22 PM

youre way off, dude. the old Toybiz Age of Apocaly0se figure of Apocalypse had a jar with Shadow King while Cyclops had a jar that had a brain.

Except for the one Four Horseman missing, I just want everyone pictured on this cover to call it good as these are the ones I consider to be the main players:

anyone happen to know if there's a Marvel Legends figure wave that has either the Darkhold book or the Book of Vishanti for an accessory?

Veronica Mars 02-23-2024 11:39 PM

97 wave 2 has been updated to shipping on Mar 4th from Pulse

The retro-carded Dr Doom actually came with both. The Target exclusive MoM Scarlet Witch came with the MCU Darkhold.
