Amazon just charged me for the Model 20 Iron Man!
Also, I saw on Reddit this morning where someone took the fins off the back of the Model 20. They said they just warmed them up and popped them out. |
I received all but Cable from the Zabu wave. It’s interesting that now that Hasbro no longer retails waves in a case format, there are often one or two stragglers for each BAF allotment.

The next Wolverine anniversary two-pack needs to be him & Rogue from "Sanctuary." This would remedy Toy Biz never making Rogue's stealth spacesuit.

Not completely Legends related, but these Jada Street Fighters scale great and if you're a fan of the crossover games, they are so worth every cent.

Got my She-Hulk from Amazon. Truly, a sensational figure. The green of her elbows and knees is a little off from everything else but I mainly noticed that in my lightbox, under normal lighting it's much harder to tell (sort of like what happened with the retro carded Shocker). Unless it's done as a hard-to-find exclusive I will happily double dip on this figure for her classic Fantastic Four costume. Now can we please see an updated Titania and Absorbing Man. |
Mine is supposed to be delivered today by 10PM

Seems She Hulk face better than I expect

Edit: I did receive She-Hulk and cannot wait for Nefaria and Blacklash |
These arrived today.
Wolfsbane is a lot better in person than in pics, though I'm considering doing a paint wash on her arms and legs. The Zabu piece is pretty hefty, he's going to be an awesome BaF. She-Hulk great. This is the She-Hulk we've been waiting for, the sculpt is stunning, she scales well. She's a very solid figure and the joint color really does depend on the lighting https://i.ibb.co/x7D4P8g/20240526-111257.jpg https://i.ibb.co/61gWZYZ/20240526-122052.jpg https://i.ibb.co/Ybmhkgb/20240526-122430.jpg https://i.ibb.co/1qWb6QT/20240526-131411.jpg https://i.ibb.co/bdc0MdZ/20240526-122835.jpg https://i.ibb.co/wSkwSqZ/20240526-130420.jpg https://i.ibb.co/b5YZk1b/20240526-112730.jpg Shulkie's arm cuffs being separate pieces definitely speaks to plans for reuse |
Is she hulk the same body as power princess?

Well, I've made a decision due to various things going on in life. It's time for me to go into "lockdown" mode on my want lists and from here on out only get those figures (with BAF exceptions to that rule).
I'm looking at 30 "never done before" characters (not just specific looks but characters with zero representation) 10 remakes/alternate outfits, anything Age Of Apocalypse related and anything from the Imperial Guard. Still a lot, like 50 potentially around 50 figures, but I'm thinking it's likely many will never get made anyways, and I'm actually really okay with anything beyond those specific points in my wish list being made. Depending on a couple of decisions, I may be dropping that down to 25 figures and AOA stuff. Exceptions for BAF include any figures needed for Emplate, Warstar, Atlas, Stegron and Attuma, should be they be made and made as BAF (which I think most of these would end up being so). Can't see any of the others on my list being potential BAF but you never know. Next summer/fall marks 20 years of collecting (not counting a Thor figure I bought in 2003). It's time to set my end goals for the line in sight and be done with it, no more bloated extraneous purchases. As with everyone in life, as the years go on and the older I get I start questioning "why" I'm collecting - what's the end point purpose for it? What do I want to do with it in my remaining years of self-sufficiency on this earth? Maybe it's the thought that the big 5-0 is in sight in another 20 months, but I really gotta think about priorities and where I'm going with what I'm doing. Anyone else feel like they're ready to wrap things up, or at least mostly? I know we've talked about this before in general, but it really feels like the line is becoming less interesting to long term collectors. Are we still getting the occasional awesome release that was a big personal want - sure, I think most of us are (again Hasbro reps if you're lurking, many many many thanks for Nefaria). But there's a ton of things that don't even ping in my radar at this point. Definitely not done with the ride. But slowing down for sure and putting on the brakes even more than I have been in the last few years. It's time for "no regrets" purchases only. |

I don't have an endgame for when I will stop collecting. I am doing what I've always done - if I like something and I can afford it, I only buy what I can. When I bought my toys as a kid, I played with my figures all the time. Due to moves to multiple homes, there are items from my collections that I had and loved that I had to either throw away due to damage or had lost due to forces beyond my control. The reason I've bought as an adult and continue to buy is because it makes me happy. Like everyone else, I have limited shelf space, not as much money as I used to due to inflation and rising bills, and it can be challenging deciding which items I've already bought to display on my shelves. But if I see something I love and if I can buy it, I'll get it pre-ordered or ordered if I can and will continue do this for as long as I can.
Naturally, there are some items I wish I had already added to my collection by now (and really, who hasn't felt the same way?), but since we've got at least two more years of Marvel Legends that we know of with Hasbro, I'm excited to see what the future holds and which characters get made into figures next. |
A lot of my personal wishlist figures have been checked off over the years to the point that I've started including specific costume variants which I had previously kept off as a rule. So I do have a sense of "pressure release" slowdown but I don't think I'd ever truly close the book on my collection and call it done as much as it would just get to the point where I might only get 1 or 2 comic figures in a given year. I feel like the thing that will keep me in the overall line will be figures based on non-game projects that are still to come. If they do a movie, show, game, or whatever that presents the opportunity to get some alt-media version of a character I like then I imagine that's where I will probably stay hooked.

Now that the school year is done and I'm officially unemployed, it's time to take pictures everything I don't want anymore for ML.

As long my interest still here I have no endgame yet, But During pandemic peak, I start offloading collections, stuff I no longer need or if it's personally don't have sentimental value.
Decided to focusing on wishlist.... I got lucky with trading cards since it's the peak price at that time, for Action figures pretty sure I mainly sold the live action based one, at this point Pretty sure the only marvel figure based on live action movie I own is the toy biz Spiderman 2, since it's a gift so it have sentimental value |

I haven’t been preordering or even buying with much urgency (Zabu & Retro Iron Man waves have figures I want, but I haven’t secured any of them yet), and I’m just kinda low energy about collecting these days. Like you said, a lot of that has to do with the line, which is turning out stellar figures, but not ones that yield much interest to me. Particularly as someone who narrowed it down to *only* collecting silver/ bronze age characters & looks. So yeah, I feel you. |
