Is Count Nefaria mostly an X-Men villain or did Nefaria fight anyone else back then in the 1970s early 1980s like the Avengers or Spider-Man?

Nefaria was kind of all over the place. When he fought the X-Men though, he wore an outfit more inline with Dracula than whatever the hell the toy put him in. That white suit makes me think more of Moses Magnum than Nefaria.

He debuted as an Avengers villain before clashing with the X-Men a couple of times, this was before he had powers. He gave himself powers when he returned to antagonizing the Avengers and that's the look the figure depicts. His daughter, Madam Masque, has direct relations with Iron Man which has caused conflicts involving all three and accounts for his inclusion in an Iron Man wave.

I got to finally display my Retro Iron Man toys for Iron Man Model 09 and She-Hulk and I must say, I'm very, VERY impressed with both.

I am surprised by how awesome my Iron Man Model 09 figure looks in person. The bright colors make the figure pop and, aside from my figure's upper left arm being a little restricted by the shoulder pad, he poses nicely. I was hoping that the figure would be slightly taller, that the red and yellow of the armor would be a little darker, and that the figure had an alternate head of Anthony Stark included, but surprisingly, it's one of my favorite Iron Man figures and I highly recommend it.

As for She-Hulk, oh man, I can't really put into words how sensational, no pun intended, this figure is. I was hoping she'd have an alternate angry head sculpt instead of the accessory, but the smiling head sculpt is perfection. She-Hulk's head sculpt is so good that I hope Hasbro will give us more alternate smiling head sculpts for other Marvel characters like Captain America, Iceman, Johnny Storm, Doc Ock, Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson in the future. She-Hulk is also a little taller than I expected and I had to struggle a bit with the feet to get the figure to stand up, but she's a wonderful addition to my Avengers team and makes me want more figures of Hulk characters more than I already did. I just need Hasbro to make new classic figures for Captain America, Thor and Falcon in order to complete my Avengers dream team, but at this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if that happens sooner than later.

Hasbro, keep up the good work! Like many, I’m also slowing down in my collection, but these figures are keeping me in the game because Hasbro is paying attention detail on them, and as a collector, I really appreciate this…

TheBlueMarvel 06-08-2024 08:06 AM

What era of Comic "Hulkbuster" is that? The announced one leaves me wanting and feels like a step down from the MCU BAF; the design is subjectively inferior from a visual-satisfaction perspective. Per Hasbro's usual methodology, they’ve left the door open for double dipping when they finally decide to deliver the 90’s version.

I will give you that…I think the Hulkbuster could have been done a better, but it is good enough to my Hall of Armor for Iron Man…It’s passable for me, and I preorder it, and I love that it has size to it…They should have taken notes from the Diamond Select one, which is an awesome piece imo…

2006-ish, and it was only on the covers as the interior version had a circular chest plate not a triangle.

Dan Yun posted on Twitter that there would be a new reveal next week. He also included a teddy bear emoji.

At least it isn't another garbage MCU figure.

Anyway, I laughed way too hard at this:

Just a heads up that the Dum-Dum is a different/new torso sculpt. The midsection is indeed a tad more portly. I just inspected mine and was shocked to learn as much...

Nice job on the attention to detail, Hasbro team!

Wow an actual new MCU product for 2024 I didn't think Hasbro had it in them.

Dr Kain 06-10-2024 01:47 PM

Well there you go, another MCU item.

I'm laughing though. My god Hasbro, you really don't want much of my money this year, do you?

And this makes no sense. Why do Man-Thing, but not Werewolf by Night?

He looks cool, but I don't see the point of this when I own the BAF release.

En Sabah Nerd 06-10-2024 02:14 PM

He was so comic-faithful in the special that this can definitely stand in as a comic version. Man-Thing was a BAF I never finished but would've liked to so I'll keep an eye on this, but I'm not looking forward by the part where I'm sure this'll be $40. I hope Jack isn't too far behind.
