Lots of speculation about the rock tease. Could it be a Haslab Playset/Diorama?

I do not believe that. Not even a little. There are WAY too many reissues and mold reuses. No way on earth they resculpt an entire figure from another figure. They would never have to do that. Digital sculpting and all. Also, this former "Hasbro Employee" used the word "figurines". What action figure industry professional refers to Action Figures as "figurines"? That's some old person shit right there. Or like an office aid that doesn't care about figures at all.

Seriously. Just think about it. Do you (YOU Veronica Mars. Geek girl extraordinaire) honestly believe that Hasbro and all the people that work on these figures keep NO COPIES of figures? They pull MIB vintage toys out of the vault all the time. Not to mention numerous factory samples that just float around. Lenny, of the Classified team army build...with factory samples.

Another thing. They absolutely keep their molds. In fact they keep them until they wear them out. They are one of the most expensive aspects of the production process. Factories typically retain them and they can be constructed modularly.

You can jump down hillbilly. I believe that they probably don't keep an extensive backlog, as it costs money to store such things. (though at the rate they're weed whacking their staff they might just toss stuff in those empty offices) There are quite a few people who call them figurines, there are even some who call them dolls *gasp* I mean figurine is just a diminutive form of the word figure, but you knew that right? Figurine is the more notable word as far as the general public is concerned. But do get pendantic about the terminology cause that's the way to go. Furthermore employees' personal collections are not company assets. You can't fall back on factory samples either because factory samples are usually not the final product, they're samples sent by the factory for the design team to check to make sure it's correct. You can have an army of factory samples that are not correct and then what good is it? Keeping the digital files has probably cut down on the need to source older stuff. And yes, everyone and Bucky-Cap knows they reuse the giant molds to death, but they do eventually breakdown, get slagged and the material reused for newer molds. The factory is not going to store obsolete molds that aren't being used just in case 15 years from now someone decides they want to do a bucky cap 5 pack out of Nostalgia (not sure if Bucky cap is officially retired yet)

This is clearly the best choice

I've seen it suggested that the rock tease is for an X-Men Arcade Sentinel figure. In the game, they look about human height so the Iron Man Model 9 could be reused.

https://hoganreviews.co.uk/wp-conten...n-arcade-1.jpg

I think the stuff in the Charlotte Dobre video is true to an extent. Having an archive of old toys or old toy molds would be expensive. It would be decades of products from multiple lines that would need to be stored and cared for. Not to mention the space it would take up. And I can definitely see them buying old figures to make reissues. But only for figures that were PHYSICALLY sculpted. So it only would be for reissues of Beast Wars, G1 Transformers, o-ring GI Joe, and the Star Wars Retro Collection.

Figures that were created with digital sculpting should still be available through Hasbro's own digital files. So the reissues of the Silver Surfer and the slew of recent Star Wars Black Series reissues would be made from Hasbro's own files. It would be a very poor use of Hasbro's time and money to have employees constantly rebuying figures to scan when they could just hang on to the digital files.

He's never going to live that picture down.

It looks like Rosa Salazar is Diamondback in the next Cap movie. I've seen a lot of people who want Sydney Sweeney to be Tom Holland's Black Cat. I still haven't seen Madam Web but I didn't hate the idea of her as Julia

The only image that they've shown so far is a McDonald's happy meal toy and she still has the pink hair and black and pink suit. Looks like Sabra got a bigger design change, which isn't really surprising

Ugh. Not diggin that look for her at all. Plus since shes more of a steve rogers cap character they really shoulda saved her for an xmen movie where they have the serpent society.

I'm reserving judgment until I see better pics, and hoping it leads to a comic figure, though Mantis has been in like 6 movies and still no comic figure

Id buy that in a heartbeat!

Dr Kain 06-30-2024 08:20 AM

Apparently, the Serpent Society was in the first version of Cap4 and then they reshot the movie to get rid of them and are now reshooting the movie again.

Madame Web isn't the worst thing ever, but it's so boring as nothing actually happens the entire movie. I also don't like how they turned Ezekiel into an evil son of a bitch. None of them even wear their costumes except for one "future vision" scene Ezekiel has. He also keeps talking his mask off for no reason whatsoever.

The cast was meh. I didn't hate them, however I didn't see anything special about them. I know the one girl is from the new Ghostbusters movies (who is okay there too) and then it has the lady from the 50 Shades series in it. Never heard of the other two before though

It's definitely connected to the X-men Arcade Sentinels. Ryan even dramatically lifted it over his head with both hands when tossing it at the end of the stream.

Now we just have to figure out how it will actually see release. Glad that Death's Head was announced as the SDCC exclusive, because for a moment I thought it might be this.

I know it's just a chibi stuffed toy, but it looks like a good start! Love that they're keeping the pink hair, and I do see some diamond projectiles printed in the toy's hair.

Aww tears of a clown. Funny how you can get all aggressive at someone, but can't take the heat. Good for you, neckbeard. Good for you

Boogieman4hire 07-01-2024 10:34 PM

I finally just got Dragon Man KO. He's not fully perfect but it seems very close to the actual figure. It's somewhat surreal to actually get to hold this thing. I still do hope that Hasbro makes him one day.

HAHAHA! I wasn't aggressive at all. Not even a little. Unless you took me not immediately believing some random post (highlighted in a clickbait YT gal's vid) as incontrovertible truth as "aggressive". But hey! Critical thinking is a lot to ask of some people and I suppose it can be interpreted as "aggressive".

Tell me again how you didn't come at me like an aggressive @$$hat because you're personal belief in how things are done was questioned, or at least not taken as gospel truth by the world outside your own head. Sit down.

1 three pack and I expanded my SHIELD roster by 5. I kept the blonde head from the 2 pack as Sharon, I removed the black stripes on the legs and replaced the feet. I popped the Nick Fury Jr head on the Cmd Rogers body from the Brawn BaF wave after I repainted the neck. Then I repainted the head with the bun for a comic Val. It's a Shriek body with the white paint removed, I kept the belt and bangle, and added the leg holsters and harness from Silver Sable

With the figures not being out yet, hopefully it means we get a more accurate Wolverine.
