I have an overwhelming feeling of MEH

Legends and Classified taking the McFarlane approach

StuartGreen2019 07-26-2024 01:19 PM

Well, they ended it early. Rom was the last reveal. There was no Spider-Man anything, no X-Men anything, nothing more in regards to the "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" VHS series since this is the 30th anniversary year, no tease for "Secret Wars". Personally, I was disappointed with the live-stream. I really thought they would've revealed at least one thing for Spider-Man.

ThorOdinson123 07-26-2024 01:21 PM

Gonna pre-order Yellow Suit Wolverine tomorrow save Colossus for later

Regardless 07-26-2024 01:22 PM

Just watched the Marvel Legends panel. I truly am feeling like a kid with my 'someday' sense of excitement/joy. Crystal! ROM! Dragon Man! So excited for the upcoming preorder system and the other models tgat I will preorder. Hope you all enjoy the SDCC announcements too.

Boogieman4hire 07-26-2024 01:32 PM

The year I finally get my Dragon Man ,and they decide to make a new one. I'm not mad though. Honestly most of the Legends reveals were a hit for me. I wasn't sure Hasbro could top the FF Classics Dragon Man and that if they did make him they'd just reuse Abomination's body. Plus how long has Lockjaw been a top ten BAF for a lot of us? And while I'm not going to jump and down for a bald man in a gi, it's still very cool that they made Wong.

Boogieman4hire 07-26-2024 01:33 PM

Wait a minute. Holy s**t! It's ROM.

Spoon 07-26-2024 01:33 PM

They also teased Spider-Boy and Spider-Man Unlimited cartoon figures (The shoe and arm).

They revealed two figures on my want list (Lockjaw & Green Quicksilver). Getting that Punisher 2 Pack so I don't have to paint the belt and harness on my all black Jim lee custom kitbash. Made to order Dragon Man is an interesting development and announcement. Might also grab that and ROM.

En Sabah Nerd 07-26-2024 01:48 PM

It's the Crystal and Lockjaw pack I was hoping for! I really like the decision to just go with alternate back legs for him to be sitting.

ROM is also delightful. I want movie Colossus too but leaks had already claimed he was inbound so his reveal doesn't have that same wow factor.

ThorOdinson123 07-26-2024 01:55 PM

Hopefully God Loki from S2 of Loki gets shown from NYCC.

Dan did say they will do more DP & Wolverine figures of spoiler characters down the line

Veronica Mars 07-26-2024 02:00 PM

PulseCon is before NYCC

Hulkwummy 07-26-2024 02:51 PM

As surprising as the Punisher 2-pack is, I was hoping for something like an updated trench coat Punisher from the epic heroes wave.

TheBlueMarvel 07-26-2024 03:02 PM

ROM.

...and I'm glad I waited for Dragon Man.

We need a better head on 2.0 Lockjaw...

Dr Kain 07-26-2024 04:23 PM

What the fuck was that? I am so glad I was in the middle of Deadpool 3 when the panel happened because I would have been super annoyed had I sat through the whole thing and not a single figure I would buy was revealed. Like what the fucking hell? No Banshee? No Harry Leland? Not even Phoenix or Feral? Shit, not even any Spider-Man dudes. But there's Rom and another repaint of Doctor Strange because they don't have enough of those (though, the cape is cool), a Punisher they forgot to paint the boots, gloves, and belt on, a reissue of that stupid ass symbiote Deadpool, and more pointless MCU crap.

Oh, and then we have freaking Amazon being dumb as fuck. They moved my Ghost Rider from the 29 to the 25 to the 26 and now back to the 29. What was the fucking point of even telling me he would arrive on the 25 then 26 if they were just going to circle it back around to the 29 like a bunch of jerk monkey bitches??? Talk about being a bunch of <bannedRword> Hell, at this point I expect on Monday they will tell me he won't arrive until August 20th again because that's the dedede they have going on right now.

Anyway, Deadpool 3 was fantastic. Way better than 2 and had so much great fanservice to go with its fun of fucking hell plot.

Watching the Hasbro Pulse Fanstream:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkHWXhpES2A

It's just a kind of recap of the panel on Hasbro Pulse's youtube channel.

Interesting note- they still haven't revealed "Dan's favorite Wolverine" that's been teased for months now

Veronica Mars 07-26-2024 06:39 PM

But I watched that train wreck as it happened, I don't need another round of disappointment

It was the Weapon of Vengeance. Dwight or Ryan mentioned it when the figure was revealed since Dan was out that day.

Yeah, it was definitely a bit lackluster. Playing catch-up now as I missed the entire thing earlier.

Pretty sure they were teasing Dan with that statement about the WoV figure being his favorite because he wasn't there. They even mentioned during the stream about Dan texting Ryan to dispute the claim.

In the video I attached above, Dan reiterates that his "favorite Wolverine of the year" still hasn't been announced/released. Many assumed it was going to be the new MCU Wolverine figure.

Captain Nash 07-26-2024 08:46 PM

Psyched for Crystal. I have the Lockjaw...Mezco? I think was....did a few years back, so when this comes out if anyone is hankering for a Lockjaw but no Crystal, hit me up, I'd be willing to come to some agreement on price (definitely not just cost of shipping though on this one, since I'm sure it'll be expensive).

rest of the stuff is passable for me, though the Outriders look interesting...not getting.

Spoon 07-26-2024 09:42 PM

So, going back over the reveals and that Quicksilver card art is actually pretty funny.....considering he doesn't even come with the hands for that running pose. :koopa :sonic

I guess it was "Screw over mutants with green costumes in the hands department." month at Hasbro (Rogue 2 Pack). Gotta save money in the budget somewhere I guess.

Dwight's a liar. Saying Bushwhacker has the first rat tail in the line like training suit Psylocke didn't happen

I felt the same way with legends, nothing exciting revealed there for me. 90% of them are skips , I will likely get the movie wolverine figure.

Harbinger 07-27-2024 07:30 AM

Was hoping for a classic costume beta ray bill.

I was hoping for better than what they gave us

My #1 Marvel Legends reveal of all during SDCC. I am SO psyched for ROM.

I also didn't know until the figure reveal that Marvel apparently got the ROM license back and are currently releasing omnibus volumes with their old comics. I picked up the first two digital volumes (the third and final is due out later this year) and the care that went into the restoration is amazing. A lot of Marvel's digital releases of older comes look pretty low-effort, but the ROM issues are crisp & clean and they appear to have really tried to replicate the original color schemes as closely as possible.

If you want to display the new Cabal Dr. Doom figure with the Doombot head and have the mask from the Secret Wars Doom lying around in your fodder bin...
