'Dark Phoenix' remains legitimately worse, but there's a reason I call 'X3' 'X-Men: The Last Straw'.

I'll never forget walking out of the theater in shock after X3. They had at that point decades of source material and the 90s cartoon and video games to pick and choose what would work. They botched archangel so badly in all the x movies and watching apocalypse doing his makeup was bizarre. These Hollywood creeps are the same people that gave deadpool lazer eyes and a mouth sewed shut...and had to be forced by test footage to release a deadpool movie thank goodness Ryan Reynolds respects the fans.

All that said I'd still take some figures from fox's xmen

I'll never understand why Angel was always handled so badly in the X-Men film series. I was really hoping that 'X-Men: The Last Straw' would have ONE SCENE with Cyclops, Jean Grey, Angel, Beast and Iceman. They were all in the same movie and we didn't get to see the original X-Men roster from the comics in the same scene together. Not once. And since Cyclops is my favorite X-Man and Rogue is my favorite female mutant, I remain eternally disappointed by seeing the third film drop the ball so terribly with both characters, and ALL of the other characters as well.

Also, after 'Deadpool & Wolverine', I would love to see the original 'X-Men' trilogy cast return in their early 1990s/Jim Lee era X-Men costumes. The '90s suits for Cyclops, Jean Grey and Rogue remain my favorites.

If the rumored X-Men figures are in fact coming soon, I really, REALLY hope we'll see 'X-Men'/'X2' figures made for Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops and Nightcrawler. I HATED the X-Men uniforms for 'X-Men: Apocalypse' and 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix', so I hope the listed figures for Storm, Cyclops and Nightcrawler aren't from those films.

Deathshead up for preorder on hasbropulse….

Dr Kain 08-06-2024 08:39 AM

Personally, I thought most of the casting for the X-Men movies was terrible.

Patrick Stewart is too nice of a dude to be playing Professor X. They made him a grandfatherly character when Professor X is an asshole trying to force his views on others, but he respects others existing. McAvoy portrayed him much more accurately.

Marsden had no range of emotion at all as Cyclops and even less personality.

Berry was a completely miscast as Storm. It's like they only picked her because she was the only big name black woman they could get instead of someone who could act. Not to mention sometimes she had an accent, sometimes she didn't, and they completely underutilized her.

Paquin's Rogue never once called people "Sugah," she was severly underpowered, couldn't even fly, and whined all of the time. Rogue might lament her abilities even know and then, but she doesn't cry about them every few minutes.

McKellen was too damn old to be Magneto.

Stamos had no reason being Mystique either. I've seen trees be less wooden.

Jackman and Jensen are the only ones I would say were spot on casting as far as personalities go, though, Jensen got worse as the series went on.

That is exactly why they cast Halle Berry. Rogue was originally offered to Sarah Michelle Gellar after she turned it down due to scheduling conflicts with Buffy, they went with Anna Paquin. It's funny though Hugh Jackman wasn't the first choice for Wolverine

True they originally wanted Dugray Scott but he couldn't do it do to scheduling so he suggest his friend Hugh Jackman

WallySparks 08-06-2024 08:50 PM

eh, I prefer the old school casting choice of Glenn Dangzig as Wolverine thanks to Wizard Magazine back in the day. Even Danzig himself wanted to do it but he was buy with his music schedule anyway

Regarding the Spider-verse wave It's not Peter B Parker it's actual Peter Parker from the first movie.

I remeber that article in toyfare way back in the day. I remeber micheal biehn was cyclops, clint eastwood was cable, micheal dorn i think was bishop, iman was storm rutger hauer was magneto and rebecca demornay was white queen. There were s9me others but i cant remember them. This was a who would they like to see as the characters so it was in ho way a real casting but that woulda been kinda cool.
I honestly think that stephen lang should be magneto. That dude would be perfect.

That's only like 2 whole business days though lol. That's all it took for you to fire off an angry email? ????

They used to be a lot slower a couple of years back. Back then it could be closer to 2 weeks before anything got sent out.

"Retro" refers to the packaging, not the character design.

Generation X Husk custom figure is easy to make in my opinion. Just use the Generation X M/Money figure body and the Sharon Carter figure's head and hands from the Falcon/Winter Soldier Sharon Carter figure

I wouldn't go that far. It's his opinion even if I disagree with it.
