Batman Beyond stuff is what I've been hoping to see from the beginning, but it may be way down the line unless they expand and do a separate toyline altogether. As expensive as it would probably be, that flying batmobile would be a must-buy.

I'd also personally hope for a battle damaged Batman Beyond, with the red circuitry exposed in patches. I always thought that looked badass in the cartoon.

They'd probably end up doing at least one series of Superman: The Animated Series toys before that point, though. Wouldn't mind that either. Superman, Lex (hopefully his business suit), Brainiac, and Lois. They'd all be instant-buys for me.

I've been dieing for a batman beyond figure, more like his current comic book appearance, he looks more real and less cartoony. he looks awesome in the Futures End series.

Open letter (comment) to Mattel: As much as I'm upset with how things ultimately panned out, I still cherish these figs (if not some of the business decisions affecting them). My love for what your company has created doesn't exist in isolation. There are many of us and we are waiting...

Dr Kain 02-10-2015 09:29 PM

Is it just me, or has everything DCU just disappeared from Matty? All I can find is that Total Heroes crap.

ultraman zoffy 02-10-2015 09:48 PM

No, it's not just you Dr. Kain, I also think Matty is total crap. =)

Anybody need? PM me.

CMIII 02-11-2015 05:36 AM

Well we need to wait and see I know that there is restructuring coming which should include replacing Scott Neitlich. In reality Action Figure side is done, No MOTUC, No DCU. Unless something is done Mattel's losses will continue. Bank on the DC movies like Hasbro does with Marvel.

Dr Kain 02-11-2015 07:00 AM

Mattel just needs to realize the fucked up and give us an entire Flash Rogues wave. Oh, and a repaint of Wally that doesn't have loose as hell legs would be nice.

CMIII 02-11-2015 08:59 AM

shoot there a good 15 figures I'd love to see and just as many C&C's.

305Batman 02-11-2015 10:00 AM

Focus on six inch movie figures please!

CMIII 02-11-2015 12:51 PM

They are coming Batman305 expect an announcement this weekend

305Batman 02-11-2015 02:16 PM

I hope you're right, they'd be stupid not to have a 6-inch movie line with all the movies planned, and a Keaton fig too.

CMIII 02-11-2015 03:44 PM

Check my track Record... I said Scott Neitlich would be gone and he is.. I said Mattel would lose money without DC and they have (might not be related). I said Doomsday Unleashed was coming and he did. I said Total Heroes would not make 6 months - a Year, The Ultra's were nixed at SDCC last year. So I do have a pretty good record of being right

Zorn88 02-11-2015 05:49 PM

I hope you are right. I'll take any good, articulated, six inch DC figures. I miss DCUC.

PM sent Colder Soldier.

Dr Kain 02-12-2015 09:22 AM

Oh please tell me these won't be made of fairy dust DC:

TheBlueMarvel 02-12-2015 07:25 PM

I've seen the latest DC license offerings and my opinion remains unchanged.

http://i1380.photobucket.com/albums/...1915c006_1.jpg

I'm ready when you are Mattel...

Kirathis 02-12-2015 11:35 PM

As long as DC/Warner Brothers does not completely botch their upcoming movie releases, I would expect an uptick in DC figures as their characters become more universally well known. Ask a random person to name 10 DC characters and see what you get outside of the typical Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman responses. If they are up on modern TV you might get a Flash and Arrow in there too. After that, not much.

Marvel characters on the other hand have become household names thanks to the success of Marvel's films. DC could very well see the same response down the road as long as they do not churn out lackluster piles with their upcoming films.

That being said, I (although probably not my wallet) am fully ready for a new 6" DC line! Bring it on!

305Batman 02-13-2015 07:11 AM

I will be very disappointed if I don't see six inch movie figures!

CMIII 02-13-2015 08:26 AM

I would more go Name 6 Batman enemies besides Joker. It's obviously Relevence of the Universe. DC simply is not Relevent right now.

305Batman 02-14-2015 01:28 PM

Where's the Mattel news?

CMIII 02-14-2015 01:40 PM

to calm everyone. Toy Fair is big Mattel might be tomorrow or Monday. Mattel resigned the DC deal with the condition that DC Cinematic Universe be done as part of the deal

Do you mean they canceled their deal with DC but still want to make figures for the movies or do you mean that they re-signed with DC? Not trying to be a grammar Nazi, I am just not clear on what you are saying.

The Icons look like a step in the right direction, but I get a distinct 'DC Direct' vibe off of them. When I collected DC Direct, I had considerable breakage from tumbles off the shelf. Hopefully, this line won't be as delicate as the Direct or DCC lines. Additionally, many of the faces shown seem very stoic/passionless and I'm not enthused by the lack of thigh swivels...I'll have to see them posed up before making any final judgement.

On the positive side, the sculpts are strong and the accessories are very cool (they represent the line's most attractive aspect to me). Also, I'll get to fill my collection with the remaining DCUC figs on the cheap as people flock to this new line! I'll take the unwanted figs for a fraction of the price! Win, win for everyone...

I may get an Icon here or there, but I still prefer DCUC's style and diversity...Let's hope for the early converts, that the character representation is even half as varied as DCUC.

CMIII 02-14-2015 04:44 PM

Sorry on a non-smart phone and the user of it to isn't much better. It's re-signed not resigned. By the way Mattel's panel is tomorrow am. Hence no news.

305Batman 02-14-2015 05:19 PM

CMIII,do you know when it starts?
