Okay, that makes more sense. For a second I was thinking there was some big news.

CMIII 02-14-2015 05:50 PM

no idea the thing I saw said 2/15 AM. I know I am a Blood hound with Mattel if there's news I can get it. Hell I knew when Scott Neitlich was on vacation last year (I am not a Stalker, I simply read an Interview)

Zorn88 02-14-2015 07:03 PM

I got my DCUC Superman today.

Some Mattel stuff up,still not seeing any six inch movie figures!

Dr Kain 02-15-2015 10:07 AM

So is DCC not showing off their Icons line at TF?

CMIII 02-15-2015 10:36 AM

So far I am getting other figures to Custom. MOTUC's Huntara looks like an easy convert to Indigo-1, ML has one that can be Vixen

Poison Shadow 03-12-2015 04:22 PM

So, DCC is canceling their 6.75" - 7" New 52 line to make way for the 6" Icons. They posted an "In Memorium" video on their facebook.

Are you ****ing kidding me? This is the most money I've ever invested into a toyline. I kept buying their stuff after numerous breakages, even defending DCC on occasion. I have tons of their crap still pre-ordered that, sadly, can't be canceled now. And they're actively saying "hey, uhh, there will be New 52 stuff in Icons too... *hint*hint*" Yup. Clearly there is, like Luthor. And they're not in scale with what I already have.

That's just great.

Sigh.

CMIII 03-12-2015 05:08 PM

they are likely trying to pick up the Slack of Mattel's failure.. They know that the Current DCC Market might sell a fair amount but if you know that Most DCUC customers will buy the Icons then the move makes sense.

Dr Kain 03-12-2015 08:23 PM

Maybe it is because DCC realized people want their toys to actually have articulation and not break. Plus, their prices are getting out of line with their recent stuff. When a 7 inch toy costs $28 and has like 8 points of articulation, that is nonsense.

However, where do you see them say their are canceling the other lines?

Where the heck are you seeing them for $28? Some places sell for $23, but I still get mine for $16-$20 most times. Not to mention that they could just give their 7" toys better articulation. They've been doing it more and more recently in their sub-series (and Arkham) but for whatever reason never dedicated as much attention to the New 52 line.

DCC produced a dumb little memorial video for their facebook running down some of their favorites, along with Poison Ivy who is still due for May. The same post said to keep an eye out for continued New 52-style figures in the new 6" Icons line.

They've said nothing about the Designer series, but even if those continue, it still sucks. Each Artist's series only fits in with others from the same series. We can probably assume the live-action figures will continue as-is.

Iceman 03-12-2015 10:43 PM

6" is a far more popular scale and the DCC line has failed pull the kind of dedicated collectors they would need. Switching to 6" means they are compatable with figures that a greater number of people own and hopefully those people will buy. Plus it probably saves money.

Thanks, I really wish that we could have gotten more alien Lanterns in the DCUC line before Mattel gave up on the line. I would have loved have gotten a Red Lantern Bleez. I hope we get to see her and other Alien Lanterns in the new DCC 6" Icons line. We also need a better scaled Atrocitus.

WOW I want your Lantern collection Olds!

Completely agree about Bleez. I would have loved to have her. I would also REALLY love to have a good rendition of Saint Walker. Here's hoping for the Icons line. I would love to have a White Lantern Kyle as well.

Zorn88 03-13-2015 09:34 PM

Killer set up Olds, i'm super jealous.

CMIII 03-14-2015 05:04 AM

the Alien Rend Lanterns we did get were Atrocius, Skullock, Nite Likk (I feel weird saying that name), and Dex-Starr. In all likelihood Nite Likk can't be used or will get a name change.

The biggest glaring Alien missing is Indigo-1

Figured we would never get one so I made my own.

Cost less than $20 to make him and a Blue Hal. Just a head swap and some paint on the masks.

I reviewed her myself.... I saw random paint issues throughout the line. Saint Walker and Ice lines do not match. Larfleeze paint colors don't match

Yikes.

A lot of my stuff comes from DCBS, and they've told me multiple times recently that they won't cancel anything because their Previews orders are set in stone. I've lost all interest in DCC items, but unfortunately I've got a ****-ton of it pre-ordered through them.

Well, you could always "lose" your credit card.

And yeah, one of my comic shops was selling Arkham Harley for $50 the day she came out.
