It saddens me that there are scalpers on this site. My first purchase was very positive and went quite smoothly. now when I tried to trade someone else something they wanted for something I wanted I was told that what I had would be a pegwarmer and the figure I wanted was going for over $30 on ebay. Doesn't that sound like a scalper? why put something on your want list when you don't want it because it will be a peg warmer- why not just list it on ebay? I am not just belly aching because I didn't get what I wanted - I'll find the figure I want soon enough- I am just irritated at the way some people look at figures as an investment. If I had asked for something that was no longer being made then I would understand, but this figure just came out, there will be more. Sorry about the rant, just wanted to see if anyone else shared the opinion. I know I am new here so I may be out of line.

I have a Thor 6" figure for trade. I don't like ebay and their fees for selling so I thought I would post this on the ark. I am looking to start a 4" set and need black widow and hawkeye. even trade if you are interested. The only catch is that the factory made an error with Thor and forgot to add the piece under his main belt, it connects to look like his full vest, check the pics. if you don't care about that and you have what I am looking for you have a Thor. Can send more pics if needed, there has been no tampering of any kind. PM me.
Thanks!

A manager at one walmart showed me that the 6" avengers are on order and that they are expected to arrive in 3 weeks.

How the heck did you get Thor's legs so close together like that? My Thor looks ready to fight.

He's got to pee, lol. No, just the way the legs wanted to go I guess.

Besides being helmet-less, is this Thor mold the same as the movie one that came out last year with comic series Loki/Thor? I remember that figure being huge for the scale, but the picture conan050 posted makes him look more in-scale.

I don't have the version from the Thor movie (I have the Avengers version) to compare, but I was told it's the same figure only with a different head.

Him and Iron Man are the only two without rocker ankles (old molds).

Thor's scale is perfect if you ask me.

itMFtis 06-11-2012 12:52 PM

Thanks for the replies.

At the time, I only had the movie Cap (released around the same time) to compare him to, and he was basically a giant. If they are essentially the same mold, guess I'll stick with the movie Thor version. Now that I do a double take on conan's pic, he does have that slight oversize look to him that I thought he had.

Just want to throw this out there, would anyone be interested in trading some new avengers figures for old marvel legends figures? I will post some pics soon but wanted to see what a fair trade was. I have some good figures but don't want to go on ebay with them.
Let me know if any of this looks worthy for a trade.

Here are the ones I have all MIP:

iceman mip
nightcrawler mip
professor X mip
wolverine yellow mip
magneto mip
colossus mip
gambit mip
beast mip
silver surfer mip
blade mip
the thing mip
iron man mip
hulk mip
wolverine sm brn mip
storm mip
war machine mip
iron man dlx silver centurian armor mip
phoenix Mint in Crushed package (think a scalper got to it before me)
cyclops mip
X 23 var and blk mip
wolverine astonishing x men mip
bishop mip
kitty pryde mip
aoa wolv mi[
aoa Wolv variant mip
wasp woman mip
spider woman mip

I am looking for 3.75 Black widow & hawkeye and then a 6 exclusive hulk. As I am a toy enthusiest I want these figures to go to a loving home, to someone that will appreciate them- not to someone that wants to take them to ebay to screw someone over. Please PM to make a fair offer and I will let you know.

I am also creating a BST by the way

he is indeed the same figure. the iron man technically has side to side ankle movment in the form of ball joints (at least it does in its first release) but the armored boot strapping on sides make it completely usless.

Are Cap and Iron Man still in demand? Seems like they don't even sell for retail on eBay...

trowa195 06-11-2012 02:31 PM

I don't think so These figures are warming the shelves at all of my walmarts now.

Nope. Those two are starting to pile up by me.

Hulk is still king

Hawkeye is his queen

Loki I've seen a few times (the best fig of the group for me)

The other three are "commons"

Dude, complaining about someone on a website they're a member of is pretty low.

If a comic shop had the issue of Amazing Fantasy that introduced Spider-Man, would you march in and demand they trade your polybagged X-Force #1 for it? No, you wouldn't. It may have a certain collectible value to some, but it's quarter bin fodder. Just like when gas is $4 a gallon, you don't go asking the attendant if he'd let you fill up for $1.50 a gallon. That's not how things work.

Icetron 06-13-2012 06:55 PM

Shout out to FrankCastle for the Nick Fury, a surprisingly very good figure!

Dude, complaining about someone on a website they're a member of is pretty low. (Directing users, in what is said to be a community of like minded individuals opposed to price gouging, to an ebay page to buy something that is obviously over priced because everyone is putting said item on ebay and profiting off of people who did not get to the store or buy a whole case first and selling at more than three times the intended price is not quite high up on the list either)

If a comic shop had the issue of Amazing Fantasy that introduced Spider-Man, would you march in and demand they trade your polybagged X-Force #1 for it? No, you wouldn't. (Because they were not out on the market valued at the same price at the time- correct. and the comic book shop would more likely say "no" rather than belittle their potential future customer by telling them "that item is worth more and the item that we asked for is worthless" makes no sense- I agree) It may have a certain collectible value to some, but it's quarter bin fodder. (fodder that one would place on a wish list to bait someone else) Just like when gas is $4 a gallon, you don't go asking the attendant if he'd let you fill up for $1.50 a gallon. That's not how things work. (of course not, these days you would go to another gas station that sold the gas pennies cheaper instead of asking someone that has no say about the prices that their business charges for gas at a discount, unless you have a delorean to travel back to said time where gas costs $1.50- but then again you have a delorean that travels through time and you would not need gas, you would need garbage. Garbage indeed)

Struck a nerve? Give away the ending? I weep.
