Back in the day,they were always on display,now I only have a handful of ML movie figs.

Well, the loose figs belong to my son. I don't think he's got duplicates but if he does they're probably from a 2 or 5 pack that almost look the same.

So, it's possible to put together a pretty nice live-action DC display now. I suppose I'll continue to buy DCC's Arrow/Flash offerings. I just put in a pre-order for Arsenal, Captain Cold, Diggle and Felicity.

It started out as the DCSH Blue and gray one on the left of your picture. Mine had a stuck hip that broke, so I had to do a repair job to him. I swapped the thighs out with a set from a DCUC Superman that I painted to match, I also decided to paint the blue parts of his costume black, and finally I repainted the face.

Just watched the trailer....HOLY CRAP!

It's interesting how that trailer frames Batman as if he's the villain of the movie, showing his Batwing and Batmobile wrecking things, Bruce seeming pretty disturbed, and then donning armor to straight-up threaten Superman.

If that's the actual direction of the movie, it's intriguing. But we know Luthor is in there somewhere, so I don't think the actual movie will deliver on that concept.

I really do hope the movie is primarily from Superman's perspective, though. Although Batman's name is first in the title, and Affleck was given top billing, so I don't know.

Now... can someone just please give us some decent action figures based on these designs?

Well, Snyder has said this is not Man Of Steel 2, It is BvS. MoS 2 will be down the road in a few years.

The all black Batman??? That is called Knight Shadow Batman from the DCSH /S3 line, what became DC Classics. It was one of the last figures made in the line and is fairly rare.

I just really hope Warner Bros doesn't get too hasty with things, they're trying to launch a cinematic universe like Disney/Marvel has but with only one movie under their belt. Plus I didn't even like Man of Steel much so the one movie BvS is connected to kind of gives it a taint. I want the movie to be good but like Star Wars 7 I'm going to be super cautious about getting excited.

Agreed. Warner Bros has made what most consider some questionable at best casting with Affleck and Gadot. They are still really caught up in the having to have a big name A-list star in their lead and that may actually end up hurting them. Marvel had more money to make the film great because they did not have huge salaries. Hopefully the film is as great as the trailer.

yeah, the only thing i really liked about the trailer was the armored bat suit (at least what we could see of it).. i actually thought the normal suit looked a little silly. i'm a little more wary of how affleck is going to do now that i've seen him in the suit. but i'll still hold off until i actually see the movie.

i also think the fact that eisenberg is luthor will prevent me from getting fully engaged into to movie.. it'll just feel like eisenberg is pretending to be luthor rather than actually being luthor. his acting is just so similar in almost everything he's done that it's going to be difficult to see beyond that.

the trailer, and the movie just seem too dark. i understand that a movie like this needs to be dark.. but not all of it. man of steel had the same feel to it. i guess it's just snyder's style. i just happen not to like it. i guess it just looks a bit to stylized and less realistic. i mean, the avengers clearly aren't real, but the world they're in seems more real than what we've seen in dawn of justice. it's like the whole movie has a dark filter on it (that's an assumption based on how man of steel looked)

and you're right about the marvel universe vs dc.. marvel seems to have taken their time, had a plan in place and are following through. dc on the other hand looks to have seen the success marvel is having and is trying to play catch up.

it's a shame they couldn't have used the dark knight movies as the beginning of their universe similar to iron man 1. i mean, if the rumors are true, they're introducing batman, wonder woman, and aquaman in one movie.. maybe it'll work out, maybe it won't. i just don't think they'll be able to flesh out these characters as much as marvel has been able to do with theirs. plus, i think iron man 1 is a far better starting point than man of steel was. it also helped that when iron man came out there wasn't another iron movie released a couple years prior to compare it to.

at the end of the day, it's just a trailer for a movie that is still a long way from being completed.. so, who knows how it'll turn out. i just wasn't as psyched for this as much as i was when i saw the first age of ultron trailer.
