I just saw that. Good news

Feels like they're moving away from BAFs in favor of the Dragon Man style preoders and Carded waves like the mini comics, but time will tell

BAF are done. In fact, they're a waste of time in this modern age. They should just stick to deluxe figures from now on.

WallySparks 04-24-2025 10:43 AM

well, why didn't you say so then? If they're pegged in those spots on the figure and if the wings are removale without problems, then that's great I guess

Anyway, since I'm starting to pack up figures for our move in a few months, along with selling off my detolfs, I decided to take down the battle scenes I've had my figures in and split them across my definitive X-Men team, the xssential secondary members, and then all of the villains outside of the Sentinels and Hellfire Club. Well, I couldn't fit the Reavers so they're getting packed up soon.

So this makes how many times now people thought Hasbro was losing the license and then nothing happened?

I am genuinely relieved to read this, although I have to say, I pretty much expected this. There is no way Hasbro would want to pass on making figures for the next two 'Avengers' films and the next 'Spider-Man' film and the money those films are going to make. This also gives Hasbro plenty of times to complete teams, remake characters that need new body molds, and to make first-time-ever figures for long requested characters.

I would still love to see Hasbro make figures of Armani suit Doc Ock with bendable wire tentacles, Professor Hulk in his brown Pantheon-era jumpsuit, and "opera gloves" suit Invisible Woman (not the two-piece version though).

Veronica Mars 04-24-2025 02:13 PM

Did everyone get their Shulkie preorders in?

No no, you misunderstood. Only the pegs on the body can be pulled out. The ones on the legs and arms are glued in.

Captain Nash 04-24-2025 05:36 PM

That's great news. Pricing should be interesting for sure, given the current economical upheaval, but at least we'd not be starting over from scratch at a new company again.

Hasbro's had the license for 18 years now, though their first few waves were more toybiz design quality and they had major learning curves....and took a good 3/4 year hiatus....we've gotten so much from Hasbro I couldn't another company starting over with the first 5 years being 99% characters we already have from Hasbro.

I'm nearing 400 individual characters at this point...which I've not collecting a good number of figures...and this of course says nothing of remakes and alternate outfits of characters.

There's a lot more that I want, but I'm basically ~10ish new characters, an updated Mandarin, an Armored Psylocke, modern Madrox, an OG Thunderbolts completion, a Shi'ar Imperial Guard set and an AOA buffet away from being able to satisfied and able to call it quits.

That's still..wow..that's still a lot. LOL

Dr Kain 04-24-2025 08:58 PM

I most definitely would not start over. In fact, I'd just do what I did with DC, stop buying them.

Anyway, at this point, they've covered everyone I consider a must buy. Now that I have Banshee, I am done. Anyone else that comes out at this point is just a bonus. Like I would buy a Fall of the Mutants Psylocke and Harry Leland, and updates to GG and Hobgoblin, but I'm going to be very selective at this point, especially with the possible price increases.

I am so grateful to read that the Marvel Legends willl continue to be made by Hasbro. Great news.

I would not mind that route, which might lead to less figures being produced…But, I hope that also lead to more size and more attention to detail to figures and more advancement to the articulation to figures and body molds.

I’m feeling indifferent about preordering her…Mostly likely, I will pick her up.

VM, how do you feel about the figure?

I like the figure, but feel they could have tweaked some things on her instead of making it a straight up repaint…

The last she-hulk was nearly perfect for the character, if she had butterfly joints it would have been. That said I preordered 3, 1 for the F4 shelf, 97 and retro card F4 are my only on card collections so I had to have one there, and the last one I'm going to do some customizing, I want to swap the hair on the heads, and make a version of the A-Force 5 pack costume

En Sabah Nerd 04-28-2025 08:07 PM

Last May when I got She-Hulk I said I'd happily double-dip to get her F4 costume and true to my word I pre-ordered this one as soon as I could.

My BBTS pre-order for Rom and Adam Warlock arrived over the weekend. Starting with Adam, I keep comparing it to the Marvel Universe comic pack figure and think it would've been cooler if it had the glossy/metallic cherry-red instead of just being plain flat red. This head looks better in-hand than it did online but an alternate calmer expression would have been appreciated. Adam is really stern and serious when cosmic crisis wreaks havoc, but options are nice to have. The staff and Infinity Gauntlet are great pieces though. Rom is near perfect. He's got his neutralizer, analyzer, a nice silver paint scheme, and a good height advantage over the standard figure in the line. All he's missing is a therapy brochure to help him battle his bouts of depression.

WallySparks 04-30-2025 08:25 AM

when is the Marvel Legends X-Factor Retro Jean Grey supposed to be available? This month or something?

ThorOdinson123 04-30-2025 09:51 AM

Madam Masque and Crossbones two pack is up $49.99

I hear Amazon has the kind of tendency toward the tariffs and the shipping of items.

AFU 04-30-2025 02:38 PM

Marvel Legends Crossbones & Madame Masque Amazon Exclusive up for Pre-Order, folks!

I said the same about SHULKIE. I want the FF version, now I need the FF. I was out of Legends for a while so missed the discount wave and am hoping for updated pinless versions of everyone with the new movie coming out, and if all else fails, that pony tail head should look awesome on the retro card version.

And I LOVE that ROM figure. I ordered then cancelled when it first went up since I was spending way too much on GI JOE, but then it came back in stock and I caved on him and MILES, and I do not regret either purchase.
