Saw this on Twitter this was from Yakface so not sure if its just Star Wars pre-orders |
So the thing everyone knew was gonna happen will likely happen. How shocking.

That's bullshit and dirty that they are going to up the prices to something they've already put up for order. But then, taking out what the retarded oompa loompa has done on customers is also bullshit. |
They should eat the tariff cost for you because why? You're cute? Lol

What the fuck makes Chris Cocks so special? |
Us in the states are just going to have to learn to deal with this for a while. It's a hobby - one I'm thankful I can still dabble in. The higher costs just mean being more selective in what to get.
That said, i think the whole situation sucks but the manufacturers are also at the mercy whatever flights of fancy the idiot has each day. Expecting it to be different just because it's something affecting your bottom line is just a waste of time, IMO. Complaining actually isn't just a waste of time, but that has to lead to some kind of feasible idea. keeping the costs as they have been isn't a feasible idea, and I'm sure the manufacturers and retails are well aware that consumers are not happy about paying more. At any rate, we'll see what the new prices shall be soon enough. And whenever things change - be it Orange Foolius and the bevy of people enabling him change things, or someone else changes things, I really don't expect prices to go back down, either. Figuring we'll probably be looking at $35 to $40 a figure though. ETA: in a perfect world, sure the billionaires and millionaires would take a pay cut, but by and large they're not going to, and if anything, current political and economic pecking order and favoritism is only reinforcing that. But it would be nice, wouldn't it. |
So I finished reading the actual X-Tinction Agenda event today. That was kind of interesting. Hodge made me think of something out of Resident Evil but with technology rather than a biomonster. Sucks about Warlock. My only real complaint is the lack of consistency with the art. Yes, every book has their own artists, but all of the previous events seemed to try to keep consistency with the look of the characters. In this story, however, they constantly changed across each book. Cyclops would sometimes have his mask on, sometimes off. Wolverine's sideburns got larger in some issues. Beast was purple and Jean wore brown instead of red at one point. Boom Boom's hair changed. And so on.
I can't believe I am at the tail end of the Claremont run though. Like there's only one omnibus left, and only 2/3rds of it is from him. Oh, but before I get there, I've got all of the side content to read in the X-Tinction Omni, which is not off to a great start. The first issue was a story called Kings of Pain and for some reason Feral, Domino, Shatterstar, and Warpath are with the team even though they haven't been introduced yet. Also, Marvel messed up the pages in the issue. It goes pages 418, 422, 420, 421, and then 419 at the end of the story. Threw me off as out of nowhere the New Warriors were attacking the New Mutants saying TBC. Quote:

I don't think Hasbro figs will be 35 or 40. Even Hasbro knows they would loose a ton of collectors. I've noticed some newer black series figures going for 27.99 on Amazon so hoping that's the new price

This is what Jay C from Toynewsi thinks the Tarrif prices might be not 100% confirmed

Yeah, they can go eat a dick. Hasbro's figures are not worth $30, especially in their current quality control environment.
Good luck ya' fucking cockwombles. |
Congrats now you are paying what Australians have been paying for years.
|
All the new products are being taken down and will be put up again with Tarriff pricing on various e stores like Amazon
|
$30 it is. A bit better than I'd feared. Will still be closer to $40 by the time shipping and tax are figured in, so going to remain selective.
Those who feel the price is too high and are bowing out, you've a right to your opinion and wish you well on future collecting endeavors. Those that are being overly dramatic about it, I hope you stick to that opinion so we'll see less of your endless complaining here. |
If $29.99 is the new price for basic, I will probably be either super picky or just wrap on the collecting. I feel like I am giving up grocery money for toys when we start getting this high, IMO. But we will see.
|
Not just on Pulse but any Hasbro Pre-orders made before 5/9 will be honored with no Tarriff charges on BBTS
|
And apparently Hasbro is putting their price updates on hold I guess in the hopes that something actually happens this weekend. Unless the Oompa Loompa dies, nothing is going to change.

I got my semi-classic X-Men and Avengers shelves updated
