As long as the next finalist isn't Mysterio I'll be happy...the old Toybiz suits just fine for Mysterio..hope it's Executioner or Lady Sif.

Anyway, new thoughts on the reveals now that I have seen better pictures or new things announced: Cap Am - Looks amazing. Don't care about the alternate head, but I'm for any accessories. Taskmaster - He seems to be missing his cape, but still look quite good. Mockingbird - For a character that I just learned about less than a week ago, I'm in love with it. Spider-Gwen - The alternate head has sold me on it. Morbius - Can not wait even though it is not my favorite design of his. Venom - Love the tongue head and I'm not usually a fan of french kissing toys. Speed Demon - Looks pretty good, but still not sold on him. Beetle Girl - Meh, weakest of the wave. Ben Reily - Looks really good, but the best part is it sounds like he includes Spider-Carnage hands and head, which is awesome. Absorbing Man - Love it. Will probably get the whole wave. Namor - A must buy. I want to do some Aquaman/Namor pictures. Onslaught Red Skull - MOst worthless reveal of the entire weekend. They should have given us someone important that is going to be in the actual movie. Hell, Yellow Jacket should have been the BAF since he got gyped for Ultron. The only reason I will own him is because so far I am getting 4 of the 6 figures in the wave. Wish we would have seen some more classic Spider-Man villains, so hopefully the next wave. I really want to have the original Sinister Six. |
Hah hah hah Red Onslaught, what a joke. 'AXIS' was a terrible storyline, and nothing short of an Uncanny Avengers Rogue or Classic Sunfire can redeem the inclusion of such a crummy character.
The only must-buy figures announced for me are Mockingbird, classic Cap and modern Namor (finally!), so, I guess it'll make up for the wallet-attack this year has been so far! IMO they should have staved off either the Rhino or Hulkbuster series at Toy Fair and announced these as a surprise late-Summer release here, to stem the disappointment that they didn't really announce much. Ah well another year gone! |
I am happy to be getting a (Close to) proper Onslaught. They did confirm that this will not come with a classic head, so I can already see casters and modders making a head people can buy to fit on it. I will have this as Onslaught and never have the Red Skull head on it.

Unless you are completely against the gimmick (I have the figure and I think it's rather neat) it's not a bad deal for a figure with a superior sculpt and a pretty cool gimmick that doesn't effect the articulation really in any way. The little smoke sled he comes with is pretty cool too. I'd rather see a new Shocker than Mysterio. The old Toy Biz Shocker had no articulation in his arms (which fell off the figure's body rather easily) and the missile blasters and vibrating gimmick the figure had really gimped the articulation in what was an awesome sculpt. |
Hasbro said no more Age of Ultron figures but did (from what I read) indicate that we might see Scarlet Witch and Vision in the Civil War wave(s) (Since I'm betting there'll be more than one).
They didn't show MCU design figures, but undoubtedly there'll be some mixed into the Civil War waves. |

Hey gang, Ryan Penagos tweeted earlier here that Rescue will be the next Marvel Unlimited Plus Exclusive figure.

I hope that sums it up for all interested parties. |
I would be concerned regarding a new Mysterio with whether or not they give him his proper suit pattern. The Universe figure didn't do it but that one gets a pass because of its size, it's still one of the coolest looking MU toys in my opinion.

I really wish people doing the voting would pick characters we have little to no chance of getting without the fan poll. Logic practially dictates there is a better than not chance they are going to pack a Symbiote Spidey into one of the next couple Spider-Man waves. Not to mention it's about the easiest possible custom you can do. Even Mysterio is pretty likely if they keep rounding out the main Spidey villains in each wave.
Yes I am being selfish because I would personally love to have Cosmo or Darkhawk which are unlikely to ever be made otherwise unless they end up in a movie. Even if it is not one of those two, it would be really nice to see the winner as a character fans love but that is unlikely to be made otherwise. |
The whispers, from around a few other boards, say that the winner of the fourth poll was Mysterio. I haven't found any proof to validate that claim, as of yet. Take with a grain of salt.

In case people are waiting, SDCC exclusives go on sale on Hasbro's site on July 28. They have it on their site. It's nice to know for once!
