Yes, like I said, they've got to have a little more articulation than that for me to like the figure. Believe me, I do like them and I might have a few loose but I just don't collect them.

...In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil's might,
Beware my power, Green Lantern's light!...

For the dark things cannot stand the light,
The light of the Green Lantern!...

"With blood and rage of crimson red,
Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead,
Together with our hellish hate,
We'll burn you all--that is your fate!"

"In days of peace, in nights of war,
Obey the laws forever more.
Misconduct must be answered for,
Swear us the chosen--the Alpha Corps!"

"In fearful day, in raging night,
With strong hearts full, our souls ignite.
When all seems lost in the War of Light,
Look to the stars, for hope burns bright!"

"Tor lorek san, bor nakka mur,
Natromo faan tornek wot ur.
Ter Lantern ker lo Abin Sur,
Taan lek lek nok--Formorrow Sur!

"The Blackest Night falls from the skies,
The darkness grows as all light dies.
We crave your hearts and your demise,
By my black hand, the dead shall rise!"

No we don't. If we give it a chance and pay to see these movies, DC will just continue to make joyless de-saturated trash.

Yeah you're right, let's bring back Heath Ledger from the dead then... You've got to let go now. It's Leto's turn.

Quite honestly, I was excited from the moment I heard Leto was cast as Joker. If anyone could give as amazing a performance as Ledger did it's Leto. Sure they will be two wildly different takes on the character but that does not mean Leto's performance cannot be just as good in its own right. I have always enjoyed his performances.

On another note....GAH Lanterns! You are killing me sir!

Yes, me too. I like Leto's acting and I have a feeling he's going to knock it out of the park but we'll just have to wait and see. Oh, and thank you. I know how much you like the Lanterns!

305Batman 04-26-2015 06:51 AM

I'm calling it now....Leto will make you forget Ledger...maybe not,but he will be very good!

Yes, it could very well be the case. Also, it shows you he wants it bad because who knows how long it took for his hair to grow that long and he just cut off most of it for this role.

Not sure what Ledger has to do with the quality of the DC cinematic universe.

BTW, shouldn't you have said, "You've got to Leto go now?"

trebleshot 04-26-2015 11:14 AM

Nice showcase, Raf.

I believe he was referring to what is arguably the best live-action cinematic portrayal of Joker to-date?

Leto might do well in the role, or he might bomb. We won't know until the film comes out. I remember several online boards flooded with comments on how bad Ledger would suck as the Clown Prince of Crime when his casting was announced. In my opinion, he proved them all wrong.

All I'm saying is that actors can surprise you.

Any word on whether or not the DC Icon figures will incorporate figures for the new movies, or will the Movie Master line continue?

305Batman 04-26-2015 01:14 PM

I saw a blurb from an interview with the 4H somewhere where they mention working with Mattel on BvS stuff, that's got to mean 6 inch stuff!

I think that I saw the same thing. I wasn't sure whether or not they meant 6 inch or all that other stuff that warmed the pegs for a while...lol.

I figured. I thought they might go the Marvel Legends route and tie the movie figures into the Icons line, but I'm cool with the Movie Masters. Those Icon figures look so good though. It'd be a shame not to.

Would be cool, but I greatly doubt DCC will have access to the new movie licensing. A big part of Mattel's continued contract with DC was movie licensing.

Which is a shame, because I've got a great 7" live-action shelf going with DCC's Arrow and Flash lines, NECA's Keaton and Jonah Hex, and the Watchmen movie Comedian and Rorschach.

I wouldn't mind having a 6.75"/7" MoS/BvS Superman in there... although I'd like a 7" NECA Reeve Superman more.

Well we know NECA isn't allowed to make a normal 7" Reeve Superman, but a NES figure might be a possibility. The 7" movie version Keaton Batman was such a tight loophole they managed to get through.
